Season one Character bonds
Thought about this a lot ,one of the reasons why i think more people feel a closer bond to S1 characters is because they've gone through all this with them,if there was a season 3 we would have more feeling and emotions towards a S2 character if they survived that long, point im really trying to make is that @Telltale should be careful especially with Characters from the first season because each kill loses something from the Walking Dead game,They give season 2 more authenticity,so the Omid killing was very lame, that's why now Kenny is like a god figure in the game, there are also natural likes of season 2 characters that are not forced like the majority of love for Sarah and Nick, what does eveyone else think?

Kenny is a 'god figure'? What does that mean?
Anywho, I think you're absolutely right. This time next season I'm sure people will be as reminiscent of the time they spent with Sarah as they were of the time they spent with duck.
I found the Omid killing realistic. Clementine should have never left the gun behind when going for the water battle. I remember trying to pick it up, but it wouldn't give me the option. Then look what happens, it taught Clementine a very costly lesson, never leave a loaded weapon unattended for any amounts of time.
Anyone who has firearms would tell you the same, i keep mine locked up in my gun safe except for two. I live alone so its never been a problem for me, but if people come over i put it away.
I agree with you, to a point. Kenny is a little over hyped but i like his character. I won't lie, Kenny's days are numbered so let people who like him, enjoy him for the short time they have left. Kenny was a major character in TWD Season 1. It makes sense really, but i agree i think they took it a bit too far. I think his role in Season 1 was perfect. He was still a strong presence in the game, without shadowing on the rest of the group.
OK, first i would like to say, i'm a huge Sarah fan after episode 3. I didn't think much of her in the first two episodes, but now after being abused, she has become a emotional disaster. After getting slapped she is just sitting in the greenhouse crying, all curled up in a ball. The first words in my mind were "OH GOD, I have to deal with this now." I truly feel sorry for Sarah, but its getting to a point in this game where she has to start thinking, and trying to be stronger. I just don't see it happening, i see her falling to pieces and there is really nothing anyone can do about it at this time.
She will need someone to take care of her, like lee took care of Clementine. Who knows if she will get it, but i wouldn't hold my breath, Telltale games aren't known for happy endings.
you know like now Kenny is seen in the same light as Lee and Clementine.
good points,i don't really think Teltale postioned Kenny to be over hyped or anything but fans from season one have so much love for him it really grew into this over the other characters but Omid's death felt cheaply done and a waste of life built up (we knew his character, his wife, his hobbies, even his cat) gone in a split second.
I thought it was good, it was unexpected, tragic, and senseless. Personally if I was writing the story, I would have went the other way, where Christa would of been the one killed. I would of loved to see how nice guy Omid would change over sixteen months.
Oh really?
That's news to my ears. I mean, I'm sure to some people that's the case, but half of people around here seem to find him rather annoying.
(As an added note, the Omid thing happened most likely to show new players who were unfamiliar about the world of the walking dead how unforgiving it is, i.e. to shock them).
For me its the fans that destroy the love i have for him.
Damn, I never even thought about what it would be like the other way around. With omid changing from his happy and optimistic attitude to a hardened fighter after losing his wife and child. Now that would have been good character devlopment. I think id prefer him to have lived just to see how he'd change.
I'll admit that the fans have certainly slightly ruined Kenny for me, but there are a few parts of his personality I like still.
Yea that would have fun to see his character progress, would have made the death a lot more shocking too..
Reminds me of a commercial I once saw: "I don't know what that duck is saying, but it sounds stupid".
I thought Omid's death was harsh, but had good timing. I forgotten the feeling for season 1 and that death reminded me "Oh forgot how depressing this game could be and how fast things happen."
I think he would of lost the nice guy persona, and picked up some abusive habits towards Clem, maybe he becomes a alcoholic over the loss of his wife/child, maybe he just becomes completely withdrawn and resentful like Christa.
Kenny has a godlike stache
Damnit george lol.... I love you your sooo friggin dark lol
I think it's good that some characters have realistic deaths instead of heroic or villainous deaths, it's the zombie apocalypse.... "ain't nobody got time for dat"
Have an upvote for quoting such a top quality vid.... best on yt for years.... pure quality
Oh right a kenny facial hair joke.
Sorry, I mean another* Kenny facial hair joke.
My life is a episode of the walking dead so yeah, comes natural.
I would have done a complete 360 on his character, drunken verbally, abusive Omid would have been better than bitter resentful Christa. I don't know why people think Christa wants anything to do with Clementine, after what happened to Omid i'm sure she is glad to be away from her, that is if she is alive. She obviously blames Clementine for what happened to Omid, The way she looked at Clementine around the campfire, i could see it in her eyes.
100% agree, I got the same feeling, crista was very cold towards clem....
I would love to seen Drunkin Omid throw a whiskey bottle at Clem's direction screaming "GO TO SLEEP", brings back memories of my own childhood.
You must be the only person here to look at clem and think she has it easy lol...
Your making me feel bad now lol
I don't have it as bad as some people. When i was younger my dad worked for a company and we had to live in India for 2 years. People have no idea how bad it really is, i saw people starving on the streets literally to death at eleven.
Soumds like hell, I hate those kinda country's, noone should have to live in that way in this day and age....
That is life we live in.
