The Scavengers Intentions With Clementine

So naturally we just assume that The Scavengers just wanted to take Clem and Christas supplies and food, however by paying close attention to certain details it is quite clear that The Scavengers wanted Clem alive, every time Winston gets the upperhand he tries to drag Clem back to the rest of his group, through an alternate fight scene which occurs when Clem fails to run from the tree to the rock, and then fails to get put of Winstons grip, Clem will be dragged back to the others by Winston which causes Victor to come out and say something along the lines of "Forget the girl, we gotta go, finish her" which will prompt Winston to pull out his gun and said "Gladly" and shoot Clem in the face. this showed that if Winston and his group wanted Clem dead, he could have easily shot her so obviously he didn't want her dead, what do you think they wanted Clem alive for?

  • If Winston really wanted to control Clementine he would of just slugged into submission. There is more going on than just that.

  • Same thing.

  • I have the same idea too, Telltale has tried to pull this card on us three times but ended up deleting the lines suggesting it because of how heavy a topic it is

For all we know they could of been good guys. They could of been scared shitless of Carver's group and just wanted to be sure. They might of wanted them for bargaining chips if threatened.

Tales have been passed around the campfire. A myth more real and unknown than the safety of Wellington. There's been tell that a child harnessed the power of common sense and competence. Essencially, whoever had her in their group was bound to survive the longest. Winston's group was failing and they needed the assistance of the legendary hat-kid to save all that remained of them.

Then how do you explain why most of the original group is dead/missing, and so is the half of the group from Season 2?

The answers range from aliens to "having-a-continued-series-of-off-days" to leaving certain parts of hat-kid's story out. Or blame Carver for the Season 2 group's misfortune. Whichever is the most agreeable.

  • None of the aforementioned, I'm afraid.

Whatever group Clem seems to join ends in tragedy, I guess Winston was actually a foretelling hero who wanted to save the season 2 cast by getting rid of her.

S1- Everyone died except Kenny. Also counting Omid and Christa here

S2- Joins cabin group, everyone starts dying a day later. Reunites with Kenny, who seems to be doing fairly well so far. Then in the same night they reunite, two of his friends die, later he loses the eye, girlfriend is bitten. Joins Carver's community, community falls to a herd two days later.

I guess Clem is a bad luck charm and Kenny has some sort of natural defense against her that keeps himself from dying. I think it's the power of the holy beard.

  • Can't forget about how if Clem wasn't at their cabin, Carver would've found Sarah and they would've been captured earlier and kept in his prison for possibly even longer.

  • Im just gonna say it, Rape.

    Or

Maybe he was a scout for a community? Who knows.

Who knows, maybe Pete would never have gotten bitten if she wasn't there. Butterfly effect and all that. Could have been a product of Clem's bad luck. They'd been fishing at that river for months and nothing had ever happened to them before Clem came along.

There was a chance Carver could have rang their doorbell while they were all inside the cabin. I don't think it would have turned out well for him.

I forgot Sam too, died less than an hour later after he ran into Clem and brought her to his camp xD
