  • Sadly yes. Too many Luke fans, too little Kenny fans, it's a shame really.

Yep, we're in the minority these days. Vocal, but still a minority. I think the high point of all of it was right after No Time Left was released, then it just slowly started decreasing ever since.

There used to be about even numbers of people who didn't like him and people who did, but recently a few Kenny fans got banned for spamming the stupid gif.

Plus, Kenny has been getting more and more violent recently so more and more people are probably realising that he isn't Jesus or whatever they thought he was.

I for one am glad about the overall decrease in facial hair jokes, jokes that make light of racism and jokes about boats.

  • It's not Luke fans, it's the fact that most of the comments are pretty biased and hypocritical.

I like Kenny and I like Luke, now that's what I call a minority.

However... the context of everything is very important. If a Kenny fan says something like Kenny is their favorite character and they only want to play him in season 3... then I think it's ok for me to dislike in disagreement. All i'm saying.

I've always avoided the Kenny threads, especially the ones with him and Lily. I made the mistake back when ep 3 was released to call out just how cheap Carver's death was and how I knew that from the moment Carver hit Kenny, he would die by his hand. As you can imagine, I got a lot of comments about just how "jelly" I am at Kenny, even though he is one of my favorite characters.

As @Flog61 said, I'm really glad that the jokes about his godly beard/stache/mullet have been reduced.

Oh, and I don't hate Luke. I feel this deserves a mention, I actually like both of them.

  • Haha wow. That was really obnoxious.

I'm actually surprised so many people like Kenny.

I've always liked him but, I recall these forums back when season 1 was still incomplete, people used to HATE him.
Like, there were Kenny hate threads everywhere.

Then as soon as Season 1 ended everyone became a Kenny lover. I never quite understood what happened.

Well the most vocal member of the Kenny clan was banned awhile ago for spamming, so it'll probably pick up when he gets back.

  • Not willing to offend anybody (or, maybe I am), but why is it always some minority being involved?

People sure as hell like to call themselves "a minority". And this always brings an argument/a problem with it.

  • Meh... we like stuff and move on, I'm a Bigby fanboy now. Kenny's still my favourite for TWD though. I only like him for the jokes he makes and the way he speaks, I don't agree with everything he does.

  • Well for my case, I do believe i'm in the minority. Almost everyone is 100% Kenny or 100% Luke, it's almost never an equal love for both of them.

  • Well, they are obviously from Lilly fans or people who can't understand the principle of logic. Of course Kenny is dumb, but he knows what needs to be done even if it's not executed perfectly.

  • About 50%, yes... but for some reason I like it here.

Can't say I'm all that upset by their absence. Kenny is one of my favorite characters, but the memes and "Kenny can do no wrong" stans became a pain in the ass long ago.

  • I agree. And i'd honestly be more of a Kenny fan if it weren't for some of his fans that continuously bother me, which for whatever reason, changes how I feel about Kenny.

  • Kenny was always violent, when he needed to be. Yes the Carver incident could be described as over the top in some peoples opinion, but not in mine.
I have noticed though a certain lack of Kennymania of late, but as you say some fans did get banned. Unfortunately, they are still about on other forums.
Speaking for myself, I have always liked Kenny. He and Clementine are the most realistic characters in Season Two so far. We know those two so well now, that you can practically predict what they are going to say in certain situations. Which is just like real life with people that are close to you. And like people close to you, sometimes just sometimes they can surprise you. Which I hope happens in forthcoming episodes.

  • Just don't go around calling yourself a minority. Maybe I have no right to say it, but "minority" sounds to me as some kind of easily offended/oppressed group, that asks for more rights on that very basis (of being offended), which could I agree with some times, but not most of the time.

This...like, SO much this. I didn't have an account in those days but I read the forums often, and everyone was blasting him.

I think what's happened is nostalgia syndrome. Plus the prospect of him being alive gave his radical fans something to gang behind, hence the gif.

What I still don't understand though are the jokes about his hair and boats and, worse, his passive racism. Like...seriously? Mustache's aren't that funny, boats aren't that funny, and racism is CERTAINLY not funny.

At any rate, those comments are less common these days and when the fated day for Kenny to die comes I'm sure that, after a while, we won't hear about him as incessantly.

Maybe he's learned his lesson though, right? We can hope, at least.

Last time I saw him he called Nick a pedophile, and he thought that 40% of people let him die (Those were the original press stats, it's now 15%).

'People who don't like Kenny are illogical' - gentlemen and gentlewomen, I present to you the exact kind of Kenny fan boy that nearly everyone around here finds annoying.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Just because people disagree with you does NOT mean their opinion is less valid, and it does NOT mean they are stupid.

  • The Boatmaster is my favourite character in the TWD right now. I think it's a good thing there're less Kenny fans on this forum, or he'll be subject to disturbing fan fiction a.k.a Cluke.

  • Why is this pedophile shit always happening? I know they exist, but why would telltale have a character they're trying to make you like be a pedophile? I just don't understand some of these theories...

  • I don't really understand what you're saying..

You're saying Kenny is realistic because you can predict what he does because you know him well?

Like, firstly, Clem doesn't know him well as she spoke like two lines to him in season 1, and secondly by that logic not being able to predict the actions of people we know less well makes them just as realistic, no?

Kenny was always violent, when he needed to be. Yes the Carver incident could be described as over the top in some peoples opinion, but not
