Why can't telltale put Nick in the trailer?
I know he's determinent but the majority did save him and there's no point of him being alive if he's not gonna do anything

Because it could ruin potential plot lines, unfortunately as much as I love Nick and want him to live; when a character receives the determinant status they get less screen time, I mean we hardly saw him in episode 3- I hope he gets more screen time in episode 4, but a trailer is designed to be a sneak peak and thus must focus on the characters who are alive in the majority of peoples saves, as that just makes it more fair as they're likely to affect the plot. Hoped this help:)
Probably for spoilers.
But tbh, I think he is going to die in the very beginning of the episode.
He actually was in the trailer.
Awesome, I didn't notice!
At what time?![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
This, unfortunately I don't think he'll be surviving very long![:( :(](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
0:23, Jane is saying how the group is cracking and it flashes back to when he nearly shot Clementine.
Oh right, but that's not really what people mean. They're talking about seeing Nick in the episode 4 contents of the trailer, not the flashbacks.
I played Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead.
Determinant characters rarely get screentime. There's
Dum
Prince Lawrence
Ben (he probably got the most)
Doug
Carly (I haven't played Doug, but Carly and Ben probably got the most out of everyone)
Alvin
Pete
How come Luke doesn't even mention Nick when he dies? LIKE LUKE DUDE, HE WAS YOUR BRO FOR 20 YEARS
He's dead for some people and that would break immersion. This way it reflects both versions of the episode.
At least for those where he's still alive, we know he is but he's just not in any of those scenes.
Man this is bullshit, Nick is alive in like 80% of games (80%+ saved him) you just cant ignore him, please give him some relevance not mere just sidekick with few dialogues that doesnt even matter. Telltale please take lessons on how to treat determinants from season 1 you made
I've grown to like Nick, but I think we need to start accepting that he's just not going to be playing any big roles anymore, not after possibly dying in episode 2. Maybe some extra bits of dialogue, but that's about it.
A pretty big part of Walking Dead has always been killing off those you like, regardless of how cool they are or how developed they are. If Lee wasn't safe, there's no reason for Nick or anyone else except maybe Clementine to be any safer.
My hopes, though, is that flashing back to him will imply that he's going to do something in episode 4. The flashbacks were Sarah, Alvin/Pete/Nick, and Mike/Kenny. Clearly Mike and Kenny are going to be featured, its implied that Jane and Clem will be looking for Sarah together, but as for the flashback of Pete, Nick, and Alvin? The only one somewhat alive in that group is Nick, so maybe he'll get a decent feature in play throughs where he's alive.
Yeah that is what I meant, he is in the trailer and it flashes back to when he nearly killed Clem while Jane is talking about the group cracking.
I guess Luke thought there was no time to grieve in episode 3.
SaveNick
I think Telltale would put in what the minority chose. Like the trailers for S1 Ep2 and Ep3 showed only Doug, which was the minority choice, so that the majority wasn't spoiled. Only Ben has been involved in any trailer after a determinant death where he can't be replaced by someone else. Though this would only be a guess as I don't know how their minds work.
And yet, despite having the arguably most vocal fanbase of all TWDG characters, Kenny still walks. Alive.
Save. Nick.
Not entirely my point. It's barely a feature. I'm just saying that choosing to flash back to him could mean he might have a significant role they don't want to spoiler for us.
I'm assuming it's not something good, considering what Jane's talking about when it's shown.
because if you told walter that nick wasnt a good guy nick gets eaten by walkers so it wouldnt seem right to those who had that happen if he was in the trailer
MournNick
Most likely won't be for much longer, though. Some characters lasting longer than others, whether they really deserve more story than others or not (and Kenny didn't) is also part of the game when it comes to TWD.
It's just frustrating, because it feels like he had a big character arc set up, and then it was just... dropped.
Besides, typically saving a character from an early death, y'know, they get a MOMENT. Ben had his moment, Alvin had his moment, Pete had his moment... Nick should have his.
