I like to think I'm a strong person, but there's only so much a person can endure. Kenny has indeed endured a lot.
Sadly, judging by that trailer Kenny seems just about done. His speech gave me chills. Amazing trailer. Hope it lives up to its potential.
kenny saying he basicly enjoyed being beaten because he was gonna die is pretty dark even for him. im curious as to what his eye looks like now and if he sees his reflection he will go off the deep end like the joker in batman!
I'd say Clementine, because she had to watch as everyone around her died, which included her group members/friends, her babysitter, her parents, and Lee, who she either killed herself or left him to turn. Sad stuff there. Then she indirectly caused the death of one of her new caretakers/guardians, Omid, which I still think she blames herself for, and not only that, but she spent about two years with only an emotionally distant Christa for company, who is implied to still somewhat blame Clem for Omid's death, and during that time probably also saw a baby die as well. Now Clem once again is watching as the new people see meets all slowly die, and probably blames herself for Kenny's beating, and possibly Sarita's upcoming death. So mentally I'd say Clementine has been tortured a lot, and it doesn't look like it'll get better in future episodes, sadly.
But both physically and mentally, yeah Kenny's had it the worst.
Lee or David has been in the most physical pain, having their limbs cut off while awake.
Clem, Christa and Kenny for most emotional pain, they all dead people close to them die and they managed through it.
Physically Mark Mentally maybe Clementine
Eh, I'd say Clem's had it much worse than Kenny.
Duck and Ben, her only friends, both died. After holding out hope for months, she finds out her parents are dead. She's watched countless people get killed right in front of her. She has to deal with the guilt for being partly responsible for Lee and Omid's deaths. She nearly had her throat ripped out by a dog, she had to stich up her own goddamn arm, she can get bashed in the face by Troy...
On top of all that, she's a little girl, while Kenny's a grown man.
Oh yeah, Mark too. Forgot about him.
All of them. Everyone has been mentally and physically tortured, that's the nature of the zombie apocalypse. But based on what we, as the players and the audience, have seen, I would have to say Clementine is the most tortured. But it's obvious that everyone has gone through some trauma.
Clementine. She started life with a loving family and the stability of school and shit like that. Now she's an orphan on an odyssey through hell; struggling to survive the daily horrors of her new life She's buried in the kind of guilt and trauma that would break an adult, let alone a kid.
This game is full of poor, tortured souls. The most obvious of which I'd say include Clementine, Kenny, and Lilly. Hell, I'd even include Stranger. As much as I hate him for getting Lee killed, his backstory is still heartbreaking. Especially considering how poorly he takes it. He's just broken in every possible way. I hate him, but I do feel very sorry for him.
That's why he made such a great antagonist! While it definitely does not justify taking Clementine away and wanting to kill the group, we at least can sympathize with the pain we unintentionally caused him.
Exactly. This is partly why Carver didn't really work for me as a villain - he almost entirely lacked emotional depth. He was menacing and deranged, but not much else.
But the Stranger's story was brilliantly written. That meeting between him and Lee is just chilling.
Ben. Not only is he caught in a constant torment of not knowing where his family is, or how his family are handling themselves, but he's also in a constant decline of confidence and self morale. He's plagued with the guilt of Kenny's family's death, and Lilly's abandonment, and Carley's murder. He's a screw up, and he knows it. It eventually reaches a point where he actively attempts to kill himself in Crawford.
Then, when it is his time, it's an agonizing death where he suffered from broken legs and a railing through the chest. He is able to see his own death before it happens, as it slowly approaches him, and all he can do is tell Kenny to not let them get him. What worse is that he was so close to being safe. He only needed to make one small jump from roof to roof. It wasn't a self-sacrifice, it wasn't an ambush he didn't see coming. It was a random fluke.
Ben is the most tortured character. Throughout the entirety of Episode 3 and onward to his death.
You're right, I forgot to include him. That poor kid. I always kinda tear up when he yells at Kenny in Episode 5.
I'd say poor little Clem. We haven't followed anyone as closely as her (besides Lee, but she went through more trauma than him: especially her being so young) so there could be stories from other cast that we don't exactly know or have insight with.
Kenny and Clementine probably take this since we know them more. For all we know though, the other characters with them (Jane and Mike) may have had it really rough too.
But as it stands, I think Clementine has had it rather horribly too. She's only eleven years old and because of that she's already spent nearly one-quarter of her life in the apocalypse since it started. She had to lose her babysitter, Kenny's family, Kenny himself (until she laters learns of his survival) and worst of all, her parents AND her father figure in the very same night. Let's not forget to mention that she had to either walk out of there letting Lee turn or shoot him in the head herself. Both of which will forever leave traumatic afterthoughts. Still though, I was glad I got her to shoot Lee. I'm more content knowing Lee won't come back as a Walker. And let's not forget Omid's death and whatever she had to do for Christa during that 16 month timeskip with the way she said; "Just how Christa showed me" when she was stitching her arm makes me think very, very unpleasant thoughts of what the scenerio could have been. And to top it off, she had to stitch up her own arm which is stupidly painful.
And Nick I especially felt bad for. He's just had it really rough, it greatly upsets me that he became a determinant character. I hope it is possible he can survive the Season but I highly doubt it.
I would say Clementine, due to not only all the personal stuff she's been through like losing her family, her best friend, and people that she generally knows (basically I just listed everyone that has ever came into contact with Clem), but so many people confide all their dark and terrible thoughts to this little 11 year old girl. From thoughts of suicide to cheating on their husband Clementine has heard it all, can you imagine what all this heavy shit can do to a kid if she was real. Clem is a poor tortured soul which can justify a silent or sassy play-through if you please.
Player is the most torment ed character.
Damn, your right. He might have it even worse than Clementine.
Physically: Mark, although he was drugged on morphine so he probably wasn't in too much pain, so David or Sarita or anyone who had a limb cut off.
Mentally: Kenny or Clementine.
Kenny lost:
Clementine lost:
Forgot to add Clem's parents.
Main characters: Kenny or Lilly with Ben and Clem not far behind.
Minor characters: Jolene from S1E2 or the Boy in the attic from S1E4
I think Clementine. Pretty self-explanatory, really.
Chuck
I knew I was missing something!
Lee and Clementine.
Lee:
His family died + having to kill his own brother. He saw his girlfriend, Carley, being shot right in front of him by Lilly (determinant). He lost his best friend Kenny to a herd. He lost his friend Ben to a herd (determinant). He was bitten at the worst possible moment. He lost his adoptive daughter Clementine to a stranger, and having a fear of loosing her forever. He is left to suffer and turn (determinant) or be shot by his adoptive daughter (determinant).
Clementine:
She eats human meat (determinant). She sees an old man have his head crushed in (determinant). She sees her friend stab someone with a pitchfork (determinant). She sees Carley shot in front of her or her friend Ben is about to die and than Doug sacrifices his life to save Ben's. Her friend, Duck, is bitten. She is kidnapped. Most of her friends are dead or missing. She is stranded in the middle of a herd with Lee unconcus and carries him into a jewelry store. She shoots Lee out of mercy (determinant). She witnesses Omid's death. She is sepeated from her friend Christa and I stranded in the middle of the woods. She is attacked by a dog and is locked in a shed because people think it is a walker bite. She has to patch up her own arm. She sees her friend Kenny being beaten nearly to death. She is hit by Troy with his gun (determinant). She witnesses Kenny beat Carver to death. (determinant).
Not saying I disagree with you, but Clem is just a little girl, which means she's more able to get adjusted to the world around her than adults. See, Kenny has had more time on this world than Clem. Kenny was used to just hanging out with his family, being happy and doing what he loved. Clem didn't have much time on the Earth to find herself, and what makes her special. She didn't really have much to lose. (Her family, of course.) Kenny had more than Clementine to lose, which he most certainly lost. He THEN gained one thing back again, and it gave him hope. But now, it's going to be taken from him. I know this might sound strange, but I hope you at least see where I'm coming from.
Well I mean depending on your choices Kenny could be THE most messed up motherfucker ever! Kenny is plagued with guilt for Shawn's death, Kenny got punched by Larry, he got shot in the gut by Andy, he had to deal with Larry (which you could tell by his face he didn't enjoy), he got beat up by Lee, his wife committed suicide while he killed his own son, he got bested by Molly VERY easily, he killed the boy in the attic, he found out Ben was the reason his family died, he got treated like shit by most people who played season 1, he got beat up by a bunch of old ass cancer patients (depending if he went with Lee or not), he had to SAW OFF Lee's arm (determined also by wether or not he goes with Lee), the boat was his only hope and it got stolen, he almost got hit with a bust by Lee, he nearly died saving Christa and/or putting Ben out of his misery, he got imprisoned by Carver, he got beat to near death by Carver, and now Sarita's dying?! Kenny has gone through the worst shit out of all the characters in my opinion :P
According to the unused adio, Ben was forced to watch how bandits raped his classmates to death. This is the worst thing you can imagine. Poor Ben.
