That my friend is one question I would love to know the answer.
yup
I think after borderlands they will ditch 360/ps3 and no you will not be able to transfer your saves over to next gen or pc that is why they are re-releasing both seasons of twd and twau on next gen and they will most likely do the same with borderlands
god i hope not![:/ :/](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
Well they kind of have announced that Walking Dead S1 and S2 will be on next gen consoles.
ya i know but i dont think anyone wants to just do all of season 1 and 2 again i dont want to get a ps4 or xbox one either no good games![:/ :/](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
It's a start at least.
If there's another season of Walking Dead and another of Wolf Among Us, I think they'll be cross-platform, but after that I think they'll move on.
right i think its time to look at the ps4 and xbox one i dont wanna miss out like i did in season one
I hope that they ditch the last-gen consoles after Borderlands and GOT for any of their new games, but I highly doubt if they made more TWD and TWAU that they'd ditch them then. Honestly, the fact that cross-gen games exist now are bad for the games themselves, as the games are not able to be expanded to it's full potential.
Don't worry PS3 and XBOX360 will remain popular and get new games for at least a few more years, however, Telltale games are going to be released for PS4 and XBOX One in both digital and disc versions, but I think it's better to make the games available for multiple generations of consoles.
It depends if they want to expand the scope of their games. If they wanna do that, they'll need a new engine and probably won't be able to cater for 360/PS3 anymore. But by their nature (so far), the games don't need massive open worlds or vistas.
Game of Thrones might be the first that does though.
I don't think they'll give up on 360/PS3 until after reaching the SERIES finale of TWD/TWAU (assuming they each get another season).
Exactly, if all games were PC exclusive and consoles didn't exist everything would be amazing. ;3
Why would they stop? Not everybody upgrades to a new console right away.
I saw an online interview where Telltale was asked how they could handle a situation like this, and they alluded to the possibility of cloud saves being used down the line. Before you all take this as an official confirmation, the answer they gave was used as a generic example and nothing concrete since Telltale has not reached a point in time where they need to handle this.
They will stop when they see that theres no profit from the Old Gen consoles which would be a while from now maybe A year and a half probably 2.
Edit: What i think Telltale Games Should do is offer an upgrade program for people who bought it previously whether its free or a $5 fee anything above that will be greedy in their part.
Maybe like 1-2 years ago when they were considering if season 2 would be on PS4 at the same time TellTale said they were looking at the possibility that if you played season 1 on PS3 you could go through with that save file on PS4 for season 2.
Not sure what happened to that, I guess you will just have to re-buy the first two seasons and play through them again.
Ya thats what I thought. I feel like they won't give up on the older gens until the series (not season) finale of TWD, TWAU, and Tales. I dunno if GoT is coming out on 360 and ps3 but if it does add that to that list. That would be the best.
If they did that, I would not be playing Borderlands.
