Hint at Sarah's Fate ?

While the game doesn't follow the plot of the actual show, it does have many overall over laps in themes. For example, the season finale in the show had most of the entire crew being captured at a camp that likely survives off cannibalism (St. Johns Dairy), we see a tyrant gone crazy who is leading a group of people when he becomes infatuated with another group (the cabin group) and hunts them (Carver/ The Govenor.) In both, characters have cut off limbs in hopes to survive (Herschel, Lee, etc.) Using a child as a main center storyline (Clem, Carl) and many more. While some are very loose connections , I believe the game does follow a similar yet unique storyline in the way it is told as the show, and comics.

Because of this, I believe that we may find Sarah in undead form in the upcoming episode paralleling Sophia and Carol in the show. The was a MJAOR part in the show that consumed nearly an entire season. . .Clearly the group will be torn between looking for her or not (much like Shane and Rick) and I think the episode could come to a close with her in undead form/ or dead. What do you guys think/ have you also noticed the underlying themes from the show or is it just me ? ? ?

  • It's hard to write a completely original story at this point in time. Pretty much every aspect of every story has been told in one form or another (sadly). I have also recognized the shared themes between the show and the game, how the characters are presented is the most notable and probably the most important. The art style of the game, and the tweaking to events are also reasons the game is "different." As for seeing Sarah dead or undead... I don't honestly think so. Even I have a few ways off the top of my head to twist this specific story line from that of the "chase the already dead person." So I hope telltale does also.

  • There has been a lot of discussion about Season 2 being worse than Season 1 because of the story but I feel like this may be the most prominent story line of the season, that being finding/looking for Sarah. I honestly don't know what to think (another reason I loved the trailer that showed Clem pick up her broken glasses) but I can see the situation in my original post as making a really good ending for the episode. Or if zombified Sarah kills another member of the group

  • The game is in-canon with the comics, not the show.

  • Yes, I know. Like I said, the plot is not the same in any regards (well except the over lapping characters that are no longer in the game) but there are many OVERLAPPING themes in all 3.

  • Hmm, interesting. I could definitely see her appearing as a walker and be given the option to shoot her or to leave her.

  • He's speaking of themes and storyline similarities, not canons.

  • I hope they don't kill Sarah off, if they just kill all or most of the children off then there's not going to be that much hope for the future.

  • Nope won't happen.

  • Definitely noticed similarities between the show and the game. That certainly would be a shocker if they killed off Sarah and made her undead. If they did that though, it would be a waste of good potential character development. I really hope that "you showed Sarah how to use a gun" can either help us (Sarah can unexpectedly save us from some walkers by shooting them) or, as some have hypothesized, come to bite us in the butt (Sarah is so sad and shocked after Carlos' death that she wants to kill herself). If it's neither, well, that's just a waste of a different unique story line in this franchise.

  • ....this IS the Walking Dead bro

  • I think in both the show and game, they try not to show deaths/gory death of young children (i.e. Duck, Sophia. . .etc) so I think it would fit to see her undead in the next episode.

you could be right about the Sophia thing i could definitely see something like that happening but you have to remember the show is only following the events of the comics except for terminus which in the comics isn't a huge camp it is just a group of about 8 people the showrunners and telltale most definitely did not get together and plan to put hints of the game events in the show I think it is just a coincidence but that might just be me

  • Look at the flowers Sarah

    I'm thinking. Lizzie not Sophia.

I don't want Sarah to become like "Sophia" but I'm afraid that that's going to happen. PLEASE surprise me telltale!

Look at the flowers Sarah I'm thinking. Lizzie not Sophia.

  • Merle came back and so did Kenny. Merle died shortly after he returned, that might be a hint about Kenny's fate. Sadly
