problem finding food

I don't get why don't people start living near water like lakes or the ocean like in oldtimes inland lucky to find food once a day near the ocean get three meals a day with fishing smarter to stay near the ocean there are lots of easy facilities to buildup and fishing can make life easier

    Hasn't Kenny had his heart set on a boat for the longest period of time? (maybe not anymore though)

    Also the end of season 2 episode 1, Clem, Pete and Nick went to go fishing (even though their trip was cut short)

    I know this boat factory outside the city middle of nowhere soild steel fences right next to a bay that leads to the ocean at lest 15 boats inside it can easily live thereand at my house I have 7 fishing poles lures and that place is 15 miles from the city just looked at my map

    Fruit trees will continue to bear fruit year after year, and I've had vegetables continue to grow for a few years after I abandoned the garden. Canning would be key, and could help keep a group alive through the winter, but you would need be settled.

    Farming and agriculture would be a great way to survive, but at least initially, I think some people would have to revert to their hunter/gatherer roots, simply because so many panicked people would be willing to kill others over settlements trying to be established (think of the bandits in S1, not only attacking the motel, but the reinforced farm as well).

    When you think about it, the hunting cabin near the river and the ski lodge in S2 both seemed like truly idealistic locations, but circumstances (bad people) drove people out of both places.

    yea i'll bring my friend and his family they own a gun shop can make bullets and bombs you know that movie tremors like that gun guy has alot of guns in his basement and blasting power bad people will fear us and run like hell
