Season One:Oh Nooooo! I can't believe this character is dead. I'm sobbing
Season Two:Jesus fuck are you seriously killing off this charac… moreter Oh my god. they have so much potential and you’re wasting it .what are you even doing.
And my favourite...
Clem:searches a body i found two driver's license
Jane:lmaooo some people can't let go of the past
Jane:continues to talk about her dead sister
Jane:relates everything to her dead sister
Jane:compares Clem to her dead sister
Jane:treats Clem like she is her dead sister
Probably the haters didn't understand that the whole point of this episode is how Clementine faces up the facts.
Some argues that different playthrough leads to the same conclusions and that's crappy. These forgot that the end of the path is not what matters but the way you reach this end.
I like this episode because it gives good character development for Clementine.
So yes, some characters are "unsaveable", no matter what you do. But how you "let them go" differs AND matters.
Actually, my only deception here is that Kenny's still alive. I had some hope when he faced the walkers in the ruins while the bunch was escorting Rebecca...
And for Arvo, Clementine knows how to deal with him : First aim at the knee....
You make a good starting point for Season 2. It's all about Clem here, so nobody else gets much character development. Because the season starts more than a year after the apocalypse, the other characters are already developed before the plot begin. They don't really need to change in front of us, because they have already changed beforehand.
This is a story about Clementine, and her growing up in the ruined world. This is all about her maturing in the zombie apocalypse. As many people have been asking: "How could a kid grow up in a world like this?" The theme of maturity and moving on is a constant throughout the episodes. Kenny cannot let go of his life as a family man, so he is forever tormented by it. Carlos and Sarah couldn't let go of each other, and were ultimately punished for it. Nick is unable to accept how ungrateful he was for having Pete, it haunted him throughout the season. Bonnie is caught in an unending quest for self redemption, she still feels like the owes everyone for doing wrong, even though it's justified.
What does Clementine have to let go of in the finale? Lee? Kenny?... Christa?

Play it a second time with completely other choices and you will see that there is no change in the story, not a single one. Im pissed off a… more little bit. In general I like episode 4, but I played it a second time after I finished my first save and I was shocked that there is no difference. Especially in the end its just a shame that its the exact same story with the exact same dialogues, that pisses me off.
Play it a second time with different choices and you´ll see why its the worst episode in general.
One of the best - and worst, in a way - things about Season 1 is how they got you to care for characters before they were dispatched. I shed real tears. I felt sad about the deaths, but they made sense.
I was hoping Season 2 would go somewhere and give us something along the lines of the Lee/Clementine dynamic from the first season. At first it seemed like it might be about being friends with Sarah and teaching her how to survive, but now that Sarah's dead, I'm not sure if the fifth episode can have any sort of satisfying solution.
It feels a lot more like a mish-mash of different themes and events. At this point I'm pretty sure Episode 5 is going to turn out to be something along the lines of "well everyone died and the world is hell but this baby here represents hope and the future".

It is really annoying now yeah, I've noticed some users are here just to rip the game apart now. I'd say about 60% of this forum are nothing but complete haters of Season Two now. And after playing this episode and with people STILL complaining I've began to realise there's no point to even really post here since most of the discussions are users just bitching that Season Two isn't going the way they wanted it to. Heck back when A House Divided released it wasn't even remotely as bad as it is now.
Well, I don't know maybe they're disappointed in what they got and are simply giving some honest criticism, some of it is simple bitching , but there also folks who have legitimate complaints.

somehow some stupid fans realized that our choices don't have any impact to the story
well guess what that was always the case just look back at season 1 and try different outcomes it always comes down to the same
and thats ok thats what telltale games are interactive TV shows don't like it??
Don't play it
Compared to Season 2, Season 1 felt a bit more like a game, with its interactive puzzles and lots of hub areas and arguably Season 1's choices were better implemented.

In the end, the dead always win.

You just realized that your choices have little to no impact on the story?
It was fine, I'm just sick and tired of Kenny being put before everyone else. Prolly why I've been grouchy.

Did you start this series on Episode 4 or something? It's been like that since the beginning.

It's a good episode. I just felt it could have been great, and they made some poor decisions in the writing.
That's what made Jane much more interesting and REALISTIC. You'd be surprised at how hypocritical humanity is.
