Thoughts on ***** death?
Nick was one of my favorite characters because he was pretty badass if you ask me. To be honest his death in my opinion was a total waste of a good character. I want to see how other people thought of his death.

Rushed, lazy, and unsatisfying. HATED IT
That was an atrocious send off for such a good character. I think the writers of Episode 4 had something against Nick considering the way he doesn't say anything in the Episode, gets shot the first time you see him, and the next time you meet him he's a walker. And the way Clem killed him? Just tasteless. The only character who even cared was Rebecca of all people, when Luke had known the guy for 20 years. Just... what the hell were they thinking? Nick is a prime example of how a great character can easily be wasted.
I loved the whole episode but I do think his death was handled poorly I wish he would have gotten a proper goodbye. I don't see why they couldn't have had him atleast live to sacrifice himself to save Sarah.
It was an absolute disgrace, horrible sendoff for an amazing character.
At least Nick's uderwhelming death is something we can all agree on. =P
He should of sacrificed himself pushing everyone up on the skylight.
I think it set the mood for this entire episode, depressing. So depressing.
I would have been ok with that.
It definitely did. I think it's one of the main reasons I have a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth.
And his death would have been on screen and been a decent conclusion to the arc of the fan favorite character.
Same here. At least he would die a hero!
I really don't see the outrage. If anything be angry about his portrayal in episode 3. THAT was his time and they bombed. EPISODE 3 fucked him up. Not this episode.
Definitely! I feel like they shouldn't have ended with him that way, such a waste. I really felt bad for Sarah though because she was devoured and also I felt like she was coming back to her senses when she was screaming for help.
THAT's what really sucks, episode 4 could have at least given him a better send off like protecting Clem or the group than turning into a walker off screen, it's a waste of a potentially interesting character, in my eyes BOTH episodes fucked him up.
Don't remind me, I actually thought I was doing the right thing by leaving her - that there was no way for us all to get out alive if I tried to convince her. The way she looked up and realized she was being left really shook me, as did Clem telling her to "Close your eyes..."
Damn, the one decision in both seasons I've really regretted, and I didn't even like her! :-(
I was gutted about Nick, really gutted. Telltale had better redeem themselves and make the DLC about Luke and Nick before we meet them!
I don't know i liked it, it gave me a reason to drink at 3 am on a Tuesday. Thanks Telltale!
Poor Nick.
Kinda like how Omid was wasted? I never had a chance to say what i think about that stupid BS move. Like seriously, what a cop out! One of everyone's favorites of S1 and like not even 5 minutes in, he dies. Not to mention no explanation on Omid Jr.
Then like 5 minutes later, they give an ambiguous ending to Christa's character, which will probably never be explained.
it's not surprising, all i could i think after walkin away from him was "crap, i shoulda kept that watch." the ridiculous cop out that was nick's off screen death, with no lines (from him) and little more than a "re-kill him and let's move on." just seemed par for the course. quite disappointing.
on another note, did anyone else axe sarita in the face and think " BOOM! Salt-licked."?
Give me one good reason why to save Nick or Alvin. There isn't NONE. Other than Hank dying, but who cares? That whole community is dead.
Alvin has like 4 lines, then gets shot in the shoulder and dies. Nick has like some dialogue on the road to Carver's place, some with Clem, then him yelling at Bill to stop beating Kenny.
In 204, all he does is get shot, goes after Sarah, looks for help, gets bit in the neck, and the sliced and diced by Clem. No purpose to the storyline after 202.
After S2 is complete, when i replay, i won't even bother saving either one.
I don't even see why that would have been so hard to do. Maybe have him go over to Sarah and compare his situation with Pete and his mom to her's so Clementine doesn't have to do any convincing, and lift Sarah up into the skylight - but before he himself can be lifted he gets pulled down and chomped on.
There. A determinant character actually did something, and effected another character and made a scene unique.
Complete bullshit. That's what it was.
I think that Nick was wasted even more than Omid. At least with Omid we got a few minutes to talk to him before his cheap death, and at least it happened onscreen. Nick was less of a presence in Episode 4 than Omid was in Episode 1, which is really saying something, and that something isn't good in the slightest.
