Your thoughts on Luke so far?
Luke hasn't always been there for us. As I recall there has been 2 times.
Leaving the group behind when fixing the generator.
Not securing the perimeter, instead getting it on with Jane.
I've lost my respect for Luke. A man has his needs but, why would you put your whole group in danger just to get banged. He has made up for leaving the group by helping them when he gets back. I also feel like Luke has become more distant with Clem and that's a bad thing, considering that he is supposed to look over her. It seems like he just doesn't care anymore, about anyone but himself, maybe a little bit about Jane.
What are your thoughts on Luke so far this season?

I'm not sure why Luke developed a reputation for being so great in the first place. Sure, he was quick to be nice to Clem, but I chalked that one up to being a typical "nice guy." He has come off as too indecisive to me to really see why Clem would follow him. I was mostly neutral towards him, but the bit with Jane was so monumentally stupid that I don't have respect for him at this point.
You litterally copied my thread and changed the paragraph up...
Yeah that scene with Jane and Luke, he had just lost all respect for me
I still really like him, he just messed up majorly in this episode. Nick Breckon, who wrote episodes 1 and 2, will be back to write the finale - I have hope that Luke will redeem himself and his relationship with Clem will be fixed.
I was surprised that he wasn't phased by Nick's death, like at all.
Liked him a bit in episode 1. Started seeing the obvious future sister/older brother relationship.
Then came the rewrites
and now i can't wait to see him die in episode 5
I don't know honestly. He made alot of bad decisions that's for sure.
By the way, i know it's not the character's fault, but i find terrible that he seemed more sad about Jane leaving, than Nick's death. He knew that guy for 20 fucking years, but he's way more sad about not getting his dick wet.
One phrase for ya Luke:
"Bros before Hoes" (in a non-offensive way)
I'm a little disappointed with him, partly for what he did with Jane, and partly for his incessant arguing with Kenny. I know Kenny isn't always the most sensible person, but in this episode he did a damn good job. Everyone thought he was going to lose his shit, but he didn't. He did the best he could in dealing with Sarita (he seriously deserves credit for this), he helped Rebecca immensely, and he tried his best to keep things cool. Luke, on the other hand, got somewhat distracted. But I still like him, and I still trust him. Just less so.
Yeah, he's made a few mistakes (But who hasn't?), and he's one of my favorite characters of the season and the only member of the cabin group that I ended up liking.
It's rather scary what kinds of reactions lust can elicit.
All over the place, that's what they are. In the first two episodes, I was like, this dude is friendly and capable, he stuck up for Clem, he took the time to get to know her, and he respects her ability. In this world, that means a lot, and I could see the beginnings of a bond forming, very sibling-like in nature. As someone not too fond of Kenny, I figured Luke would be my 'bro' character for the season and all was well.
Then came episode 3. Luke is gone for half of it. Which, his absence was due to some badass factors, following the group back on foot and risking himself by sneaking into the compound to help and running on fumes, but it sucked that that was time we didn't get to interact with him, and I'm really not fond of time skips and offscreen adventures, it removes all the teeth from them and it would've been nice for Luke to get that moment in the spotlight. But, things are still good, because episode 4 is going to be his episode, right? We'll get to know more about him, him and Clem will have another big bonding opportunity like in the first two eps, it's going to be good.
And...yeah. Whatever bond they were forming in the first two episodes seems to have all but dissipated. Luke is too wrapped up in his own shit to pay much attention to what's happening with Clementine and the scene that the trailer made me hope was their big conversation went nowhere because they made Luke fixated on Jane. He seems only mildly phased by Nick's death (Jane's apparently more important), and then the sex with Jane instead of watching the perimeter, god, I know you're stressed and cracking, but so is everyone else, how damn immature and selfish can you be, Luke? And his weak excuses after, ugh. To sum up this frustrated ramble, I think a lot more could've been done with his character this season, there's a lot of wasted potential there.
Right now, I'm pretty disappointed with him and certainly not feeling very attached. We'll see if episode five can remedy it some, but I'm not feeling confident.
I mean...I understand Luke. In such a grim world, he wanted a quick 5 minutes of "joy". I'll give him another chance. Just one more, although the writers changed his character a bit this episode.
If Nick died in EP2 he doesn't even mention it
Just this. His epitaph will read, "He meant well".
Luek y u do nerly da do wid jane
y child
I understood why he had sex with Jane, but it was a stupid move that put people at risk. I didn't lose respect for him, hes human. He has the right to be happy, because honestly i doubt he has much time left based on the last episode. God poor Nick. WTF GAME.
Someone who is willing to sacrifice the safety and well-being of the group (one of said group being a woman in labor) to get some sexy time is not worth keeping around. The dude seemed to have a pretty chill head early in the season, but his actions had a severely adverse affect on the group this episode. That doesn't mean that Jane is not responsibly either, but between the two of them I would have expected Luke to have been more sensible. It was pure stupidity for a stupid reason that caused stupid unneeded casualties.
Wait, someone correct me! Did he actually do the do? And sorry for my stupid writing.. "^ u ^
i think luke was just annoying this episode, i am starting not to like him, i ain't even mad he got his freak on with jane, i just thought he was whiny and i couldn't sympathize with him at all
Except for the part that he didn't give a shit about Nick's death.
Hated Luke since episode 2. Let's recap. Abandoned the group to be captured by Carver. Decided to redeem himself, but blows the important mission and endangers everyone to who knows what wrath from Carver by trying to steal food. I know he was starving and I really don't give a shit. He can steal food on the way out after a successful mission. Now the sex incident that killed people. He WANTS to do good, and he thinks he will do the right thing. However he lacks the willpower to follow through with anything. I don't trust Luke, he means well but he can't follow through or be reliable. He should never be given anything important because he is a liability. Luke is still a valuable member of the group, but maybe as labor or companionship.
Unfortunately I think that has more to do with Telltales lacklustre writing when it comes to a determinant character rather than Luke's actual personality. Ever since Nick's possible death back in Ep2, he was basically reduced to "guy who stands in background and says one line and maybe grunts," so I'm not really surprised that they reduced any other characters grief for Nick to one line, too.
Why do you say he abandoned and the tried to redeem himself
I guess I started not to care about him in episode 3, but at least I still had some "respect" for him... I just get pissed off because he just talks and talks but then he never does nothing for the group.
Because he does go back after the group afterwords and help them escape. However he ends up lacking willpower and costing the mission.
How come any other can character can royally mess up and we forgive them?
