What did you like and disliked about episode 4?

Personally I had mixed opinions about the episode, I liked it as a whole but moments really annoyed me and a lot of characters pissed me off.

Pros:
-Really intense, never felt bored/dull.
-Got a better glimpse at certain side characters (i.e. Mike)
-A couple of difficult choices that made you think/pause
-Hard hitting

Cons:
-No matter what you chose, Sarah dies regardless, it just felt like a cop out to me.
-Jane is pretty much a carbon copy of Molly from season 1
-Nic's death was just...meh? Like there was no built up and no one seemed that cut up about it
-Alvo saying I robbed him even though I specifically didn't. When you make a difficult choice between keeping important medicine your group needs all the while robbing from a crippled and letting the crippled guy take the medicine but all the while sacrificing the health of your group I expect different outcomes for my choices. If I make the morally right choice I don't except to get punished for doing the right thing and being treated in the same way as if I had robbed him regardless.

Kinda seems like a lot of choices we make don't really make a difference regardless :/ I did like aspects to the episode but that point let me down. Again guys this is just MY opinion, so it's cool if you loved/hated/liked it, just wanted to know what you guys liked and disliked about it?

Pros: Great pacing; good balance of intense moments and quiet moments. Good character development for Jane, Luke, Bonnie, and Mike specifically. Fun gameplay; good amount of walker killing; decent exploring. Great dialogue.

Cons: Very poor handling of certain character deaths; big decisions either affect gameplay insignificantly or not at all; unnecessary plot threads (does anyone else find Arvo's introduction to be a complete waste of storytelling?); not enough puzzles.

Definite mixed bag of an episode.

Disliked- Nick's death, there was no point, zombies got better sendoffs than him.

    Liked- Everything else.

Liked: Spending time with Bonnie and Mike at the museum, a good cliffhanger amped up with the uncertainty of what the Russians were saying and who shot who at the end, Luke and Kenny finally treating you a little different based on your choices and seeming to acknowledge who you've been siding with between them, the herd scene with Rebecca and the sweet moment where we were called family as we held the baby.

Disliked: Luke and Jane hooking up. That pissed me off so much. WHY LUKE WHY. I thought we were going to get a mention of Christa's baby this episode as well, but I guess not. That was disappointing. Maybe next episode? I really did not appreciate that the scene between Clem and Luke after Jane left was focused entirely on Jane instead of becoming a bonding moment like I had hoped. Also, Nick getting a crappy send off as opposed to an actual death scene.

    All of the above.

  • Arvo was an unnecessary addition to an episode that was already busy tying up a lot of loose ends left over from episode 3. Not to sound cold-hearted or anything, but frankly I hope that guy gets the Nick treatment in part 5.

  • Liked: Clem talking about her and Sandra playing, the whole museum scene (saying Lee would love it, the racoon, the coat...), bonding with Bonnie and Mike, Sarah's extremely sad death (even if it was suspiciously similar to Ben's), Kenny and the baby, Clem holding the baby.

Disliked: Nick having zero lines and serving no purpose, Nick's cheap, lazy, off-screen death, Sarah serving no purpose from her rescue to her death, Kenny being a dick (I understand him, but it was too much), Luke being useless like he always is, caring more about the fact that some girl who fucked him leaves than about his lifelong friend's death, and being a dick to Mike on top of it, the choices shown at the end (getting in the ticket booth and holding the baby were considered important choices? Seriously?), Jane pulling a Molly (I half expected it, but I hoped Telltale wouldn't have done it).

  • Kenny being a dick (I understand him, but it was too much)

I think Telltale was just trying to remedy some of the criticism from part 3 about making the player prefer Kenny over Luke. It was probably a deliberate choice to show his uglier side in this episode, just to remind us Kenny can still be the hot-headed idiot we knew from season 1.

IMO, it's kind of ballsy for Telltale to have Kenny hold a grudge against a little girl. Granted, it's pretty damn extreme, but we all know the fuses in Kenny's brain have been blowing for a long time.

DISLIKE:Nicks unimportance, Cliche Russians, Sarah is dead not determinant, I feel like the 400 days characters are now officially pointless, and more...
LIKED:Rebecca lived to at least see her baby, fun gameplay,Lee references, (Hated Luke And Jane when Luke was supposed to be lookout but found it hilarious) and more....

  • Pros: The relationship between Jane and Clem. The relationship with Kenny and the baby. Epic ending. Great locations.

Cons: Nicks off-screen somewhat cheep death. Sarah's death. No Eddie or 400 Days Characters.
