****'s death (Ep 204)
I saw the Episode 4 today. I really liked it but it were something that annoyed me.
Nick's death annoyed me alot. It didn't feel like it was the right ending for him.
I know that he got shot.
But couldn't he die like, in Nick way?
I don't know how, but doesn't it feel wrong?

What? There's a way for him to live in ep4?? When I got to Luke & Sarah he was a zombie and I had to hatchet him to death which was quite disgusting tbh
Nick's death felt very lazy in my opinion.He barely has any lines in episode 3 and in episode 4,all he does is run with Luke and get shot in the shoulder.Then,when we see him as a walker,it felt like wasted potential to me.Seriously,you can barely see any story changes whether he's alive or he dies in episode 2

Wow I didn't see him in my game. I think the save file may have had a problem and said that he died in Episode 2.
To me it looked like Nicks VA's contract expired after ep3, he didn't even had a single line.
I agree there. I don't know if the director did it or not. But he didn't even have a storyline and he's death felt so wrong

His death was so terrible that it only made me laugh. I was literally just laughing the whole scene. What a terrible way to go. RIP Nick.
I read somewhere here before that Nick fans would be especially angry if he died off screen. I'm not really a Nick fan but when I saw him dead in ep. 4, I was like: Nick fans will riot tonight.
i think so too. He had such a small amount of line that it must be of been this reason.
Like I said in another discussion, it's almost like Telltale forgot that Nick was still around for some players. So one of the developers was just like, "Damn, forgot about Nick still being alive. Oh well, let's just kill him off really quick so we can move on!"

I didn't like Jane so much. On th fourth episode she seemed to be soft. On the third one she was more "cool".

Yeah it was kind of lazy being honest killing him off in that way. He was one of the most developed characters in episode 1 and 2. Once he had the option to die in episode 2. Telltale kinda just gave up on him :-( In episode 3 he was pretty much a zombie. Had a few lines, just stayed in the background and didn't contribute to the story what so ever. Yet in previous episodes he had a big role to play. They honestly didn't do justice to his character what so ever. Which is tough to take because I liked Nick.
The thing that annoyed me a lot from this episode was Luke's reaction to hearing from Jane and Clementine that Nick didn't make it. He only sighed and said "fuck" then just moved on. They were best friends for years!! They should have written a better reaction than that. He should have broken down or at least showed some form of emotion towards Nicks death. Luke was more upset that Jane left(Someone he just met and slept with) over his best friend dieing. It doesn't make sense.

You do realize that even if it was these new writers idea to kill Nick off, they still have to get the approval from the lead writer, the producers and the directors. They wouldn't get free reign to do whatever. Just saying because I'm a little sick of people blaming these new writers for everything that was bad in EP4. The game is a team effort, so if it's anybody's fault it's the whole team's.

I suppose Sarah and Nick were always meant to die before Episode 5. Which doesn't excuse the poor execution of their deaths.
Yeah, his death sucked. I was hoping that they would have him do something this episode. But noooooo, he does even less stuff in this episode than in episode three. I wasn't even sure that was possible.
I think that Nicks death could have been better, so like more emotional, so it would make you cry, but when you think of it, Nick can be killed in season 2 episode 2, it depends on what you say to Walter, and the way Nick dies in episode 2 is like really shocking, but I wish Nick would still be alive, to be honest, I had a little crush on Nick haha.

The save file didn't have a problem. Nick could've died in Episode 2 or Episode 4. That just means your in game decision in Episode 2 resulted in his death. =|
Clementine finds Nick alive but dying.
Clementine - "Nick? What happened?"
Nick - "Don't worry about me, go and help Luke and Sarah..."
Jane - "Come on.... maybe you should..."
Clementine - "Come on Nick, you're coming with us!"
Nick - "Sorry Clem, I think this is it for me..."
Clementine - "No! You can't die! I promised Pete/Luke that I'd look after you!"
Jane - "Clem.... he's..."
Nick - "She's right.... I've hit rock bottom... it's up to you to save them.... tell Luke I'm sorry.."
Jane - "Clem... I think you should... you know..."
Nick - "Wait... before you do anything.... I want to give you this...."
Nick gives Clementine Pete's watch.
Clementine - "But this is..."
Nick - "Promise me you'll look after it?"
Clementine - "Ok. But I'm not good with promises..."
Nick - "Thanks for believing in me.... Clem... en...tine..."
Nick dies and slowly begins to turn.
