''but every determinant character u chose to save in season 1 died the next episode''
Carley/Doug played in Episode 1 2 and 3... And then they died
''Don't you think the reason why Nick lived through episode 3 is solely because users on this forum gave him support?''
He became determinant in EP2 and survived EP2, 3 and the beginning of EP4 nothing else Carley/Doug survived also two Episodes after they became determinant... And then they died
''None noticed that the gameplay where you can wander around and chat with characters (maybe just a little bit) just came back? That the episode was a bit longer thanks to that?''
People noticed that already and certainly in EP4
''Don't overcriticize Telltale games, especially if you don't add any feedback to it, because they do listen, but if you just post "this sucks, this was shitty" etc., they can't actually react to that if you don't suggest what to do better, right?''
Well Telltale wants to know what the fans want and don't want to make the same mistake again so people don't buy the next episode, they want to gif us the best WD experience and they learn also about the mistakes they made.
Where the FUCK did you get that from? A games forum is for people to be able to express their opinion towards a product and users discuss and the Developer to take feedback.
The forum isn't meant for Telltale to receive tips from the gamers on how to make the next game. It's for the fans to discuss with each other.
You want them to hear you out, E-Mail them yourself. Simple as that.
Yes, they are. It is good to use some feedback, but, for the most part, they plainly ignore what fans ask of them.
I'm a Kenny fan, so I don't complain much, but, as Flog implies (I think he even made a thread about it), most fans of other characters are ignored, except for Clementine's, but, most of the players are her fans, so she's not a problem.
Nick, despite having a big fanbase, effectively died in Episode 2, and I don't give a shit if it happened in Episode 4 in my game.
Sarah, despite having a big fanbase, dies, regardless of your decision, and both occurrences are terrible, I don't know which one is worse.
This list could go on and on, but these two examples are enough. Yes, Telltale does not listen to their fans. Maybe it's for the best, but I don't think it is. It's sure as hell isn't.
Characters don't survive just because they have fans. It's up to the writers what they do and what fits the story they're telling.
The theme of the strong surviving and those who aren't fit for the world of The Walking Dead has long been a thread. No-one can seriously think Sarah was fit for the world she lived in, can they? As Carlos said, the world would destroy her, thus she was sheltered.
But I agree that it would be nice if our choices mattered more, despite the extra work load it would create for Telltale and the complaints that would come because of the delay between episodes. It's a problem with all of their games really.
Where in his post did he mention anything about being a Kenny fan? He didn't mention Kenny, your comment is rather void in that sense. I don't dislike you or anything, but you always seem to bring Kenny into all of your arguments.
I disagree prime example from the tv show is Daryl, fanboys say if he dies they stop watching the same thing was happening on this forum prior to ep4 being released about Kenny

The whole thing with Daryl unfortunately is true, but at least Kenny is a much more nuanced and developed character than him by miles. Him and Clem are the only ones I care about anymore(although I would love for Mike and Bonnie to stick around). I agree Nick's death could have been handled a hundred times better. However, Sarah was already marked for death since the first minute we saw her. Could her death been handled better? Yes, but I prefer for her to die this episode rather than in the next one.

It really doesn't matter if you agree or not. What matters is what the writers think is important for the story because it is their story at the end of the day.
That said, a writer might be motivated to keep the fans happy, whether it be for financial reasons or something else. All I'm saying is that it's important to some writers to tell the story they want to and that is why a character having fans wil not give them plot armor. For instance, would Martin worry about killing a particular character in GoT?
I do speak as a writer here myself, by the way, but I've had no experience with fans or satisfying the 'investors'. I can say with confidence that I'd tell the story I want to though.
Besides, there's no point trying to satisfy every fan. I think this forum shows that very well.

That's not actually true though. I talk about christa a lot, I often talk to people asking questions to which I know the answer, such as a recent question about save imports.
Stop trying to generalise who i am. I talk about ken a lot because I'm a fan of his character, whats wrong with that?
I think the only plot armor in Game of Thrones is from Martin's own (fan perceived) favorite characters he's written; and when you are the artist in a way, that's acceptable. I agree with you.

Personally, there are plenty of reasonable and valid criticisms to give Telltale, but judging from my experience with other game/product forums elsewhere, what the "fan" usually has to say usually isn't worth the time they take to type it out. Saying stuff like the "writers suck" isn't helpful and is just vindictive. If people want to be heard, perhaps they should write something worth reading.
It's sad, because people like this usually drown out the more reasonable ones.
Telltale has more important things to do than worry about everyone on these forums. For everyone that has a complaint or suggestion, others are just fine with it. Many people accept the game as it was presented to us, others pick apart every minor detail or flaw. In the end Telltale just has to do what they need and not try to please every single person. We know Telltale does indeed view this forum and they try to listen to our praises, complaints and suggestions but that doesnt mean they will be able to address every topic as the players want.
The customer is NOT always right.. Most people dont know what it takes to create and release a video game like this, all the technical and developmental and even legal reasons they do things the way they do so there comes a time when you just have to accept what we are given, maybe offer some suggestions what we would like to see, but in the end Telltale is going to do what they must.
Take the game and enjoy it for what it is rather than trying to point out every flaw or complain about something you didnt like and you'll enjoy the expirence much more.
I figure the writers only pay attention to fans just enough to make sure that the story remains basically unpredictable. If too many people guess what's going to happen, they make sure to shake things up.
Very true.. I see so many post's here of people trying to guess what will happen or say what they want to happen, then if it doesnt happen, they complain. That's why I try to ignore any "theory" post's as it simply doesnt matter. Have an opinion or theory? fine, speak your mind if you like, just dont get upset when the game comes out and you discover your theory was inaccurate!
I figure the writers only pay attention to fans just enough to make sure that the story remains basically unpredictable. If too many people guess what's going to happen, they make sure to shake things up.
That's because Kenny as a character is what interests me most, so I discuss him often.
And I think him choosing a Kenny avatar is pretty good evidence that he's at least a moderate fan of ol' Ken.
They are actually not ignoring, @Puzzlebox said they listen to which characters we feel connected to and ones we don't only last week,well...Sarah....Nick...and Nate are the majority's favourites of 'new' characters introduced....
Since the OP deleted their original text and just replaced it with a general insult to everyone who responded in the discussion, I'm going to close this thread.
But yeah, hello! We absolutely do read what you guys have to say here.

It's easy for you to say: you're a Kenny fan, a group which has been treated extremely favourably by telltale.
The forum isn't meant for Telltale to receive tips from the gamers on how to make the next game. It's for the fans to discuss with each other.
You want them to hear you out, E-Mail them yourself. Simple as that.![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

Don't be like that. It makes you look ignorant.
I'm not being ignorant, I'm just pointing out the fact that whenever Flogs makes a post Kenny is always mentioned, regardless of the topic.

I replied to Flog... so take that disklike and put it somewhere else.
Christ...

No games forum I've ever been on has ever had "developer staff" caring about the vocal minority.

It's The Walking Dead, Not Everyone can survive, Clem is still alive, For me it's all that Matters.

Just because he or she has a Kenny picture as there profile picture means nothing, maybe they just like Kenny's awesome mustache.
Yeah I'm a grammar nazi.
Congratulations you corrected a typo.
