Flame, hate and complaints everywhere!

Everytime after a new episode is relased, people start complaining about... everything! Why you can't find any good things? I think it's modern to hate TT in these days, just like people hate for example EA (they did mistakes, but hell, they gave away free games after Simcity screwed launch!).

I personally enjoyed Amid the Ruins. Actually, I think it was the best episode so far.

  • there were some good points..but not many, after finishing it i was left thinking 'How did they mess this episode up'...i love Telltale but the flaming,Hate, and Complaints are jusitfied.....it was a trainwreck clusterfuck

  • It's raining dislikes!

Some of the complaints are valid, most of the complaints make me want to lose all hope in these forums.

Pretty much. Fans have the right to be upset. The deaths of Nick and Sarah were handled very poorly.

  • They have the right to share their opinions and be angry that's right, but to just go on and on and on, telling people to not buy it, unhelpful complaints, it's enough to make you want to throw your computer.

  • Amid the Ruins was the best episode. It makes me sick how Telltale gets to look at this forum and only see the top threads that contain bitching about how much it sucked.

  • i don't see any complaint when s2e2 out.

  • Amid The Ruins is the best episode of season 2 imo and users do have a right complain, but can there just be an "complaning thread" so it doesn't take up the entire forum.

  • because it was a great episode

  • Yup, this always happens after every episode. Some give praise, other's complain. It just means there are a lot of people with different opinions so none of it really matters except to yourself!

  • yeah the best so far imo

Which I don't understand because it seriously wasn't that bad at all. I didn't like how Carley/Doug died in season 1 but I didn't throw a tantrum and say the game sucks and don't buy it. And what's baffling to me is more people are complaining about how Sarah and Nick died than how Omid died in the premiere. That death pissed me off the most in the entire series because it was a waste.

  • Which I think is saying something about the episode. I did like it initially, but now the more I think about it, I feel like we were kind of deprived of a good ending for Nick and Sarah. I also feel like not much really happened in the episode. I don't know, I have mixed feelings on it now. I THOUGHT I liked it, but there are a lot of valid points made by some people that make me wonder what might have been. I think there was some missed potential. I'm not a big complainer or anything, but I do understand a lot of the complaints.

I felt the exact same thing when I completed the episode yesterday and I thought it was an amazing episode but when I came here the first things I saw were several threads all stating that the episode sucked and wasn't worth it. How can anyone in their right mind say that ? Seriously, we are lucky to have games like these and I still remember all the hype before the episode was released. It's such a shame to bash an episode just because we're unhappy with the choices the writers made. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean that it was bad, it's just that it didn't appeal to you, but saying that it was a total failure when it clearly wasn't is going too far. There are people here who love this season and never felt disappointed in it, and if Telltale sees that there are too many complaints episode after episode they might just not renew it for a third season. It would be unfair for those of us who have no problem with the game.

  • ofc i do,ive been here a long time, and quick to praise an episode if it's true to it's form, even siding with Telltale for average episodes, but this was very poor

  • It's a bit disappointing how you say people keep pointing out bad instead of good stuff, and then just say you thought the episode was good without saying why.

I thought this was one of the weaker episodes in the game, but I feel it was inevitable. I felt there was a big buildup towards the end of episode 3, with the confrontation with Carver. At the same time, episode 5 will have to tie things up for this season. In that light, it makes sense that episode 4 is more about character development and giving us something to look forward to for episode 5.

That said, I think there was some powerful stuff in this episode. I felt like Jane was really strong particularly. The story about how she gave up on her sister really gave her depth. I also liked how she related to Clementine, caring about her in her own way.

Another really interesting character is Kenny. I wasn't too sure about his inclusion in Season 2 before, but I feel like his unstable personality will really become important. Still, he's not at all a one-dimensional character. You can see he is clearly able to care for people and wants to protect them. It's interesting to give players the chance to think about that. Is it good to keep Kenny involved with the group, since he can be a very good group member that won't easily give up on people? Or will he just snap at some point?

Well, those were my thoughts. Like I said, not the best episode, but it definitely met my expectations and gives me high hopes for episode 5.

  • I am with you. After I finished the episode i though it was amazing and people were going to love it but nope. Usually I am okay with people not liking an episode but this was just too much >..<
