Easy Fix?

edited July 2014 in The Walking Dead

People have been complaining about Nick and Sarah's lame deaths. I agree. It got me thinking though... Why didn't Telltale just kill the two of them off in the gunfight at the end? Is there a reason they wanted to get rid of them? Personally I think it would have been nicer as Luke could have had his dialogue with dying (or dead) Nick and Clementine could have comforted the dying and scared Sarah. Would have pleased everyone, so why didn't Telltale do this? Is it a better idea? Do they have something else in store that required their deaths?

  • Nick's death was stupid, but for me Sarah's death wasn't that bad, shrieking for Carlos and Clem to help her was horrific.

  • LOL, I dont whats going on anymore with S2 , just got done playing EP 4 and ......well.........

But yea your above ideas would have been nice...

  • That's what I've been saying. I think a better sendoff to sarah would have been she gets shot and injured in the shootout and Clem would be there in her final moments as she died. That or, when you saved her she got bit in the leg trying to get out, but kept it a secret until halfway through episode 5, in which case, Clem still gets to be there in her final moments.

  • The bite thing would have been more interesting, maybe even a choice regarding telling the group or not.

  • I agree. I really wanted the option in the second episode where you could teach her to shoot to come into play in her death. I never expected her to live but such a lame and generic death was really disappointing.

I was one of the people hypothesizing that if you taught her how to shoot she'd commit suicide or accidentally shoot herself or something. I think that would have had much more of an impact.

Nicks was just a cop out. I don't even know what to say about it.

  • The deaths were fine to me not everyone goes out in a blaze of glory and to expect people to only die around clem is unrealistic especially sence nick luke and sarah got separated from the group they could of showed a bit more emotion over sarahs death but overall i taught the episode was great jus my opinion

Wanted Sarah to live, when Clem saved her i was like "awesome!maybe now she will realize she must grow" but then she fell to her death, just like Ben, curious they died almost the same in the same ep, and Nick well, i wanted Clem to take his hat :l

  • I agree that not everyone can die in a blaze of glory, but the fact that the group did not seem to notice either death was really kind of odd. However neither death was written in to have much of an impact, which kind of sucked to be perfectly honest.

  • Her accidentally shooting herself would have been disturbing... and had a huge impact. I like that idea.
