It's the nature of the gaming community and humanity at large. We seek solidarity in the things we hate. Negative discussions generate far more dialogue than positive ones.
That and criticism helps pave the way for a better gaming experience for everyone in the future for both casuals and hardcore gamers.
Yeah ik but i just think the more you think about it the more youll hate it, i cant really put it in words, i just like the way TTG is telling their story and people want it to be there own story.
Contructive criticism helps, yes. Unfortunately, this community doesn't have much of that...
But their story also has to appeal to a large portion of their audience does it not? They're whose forking over the money for these games anyway. If a great deal of fans loose faith in their storytelling abilities then there's a problem.
The forums are a minuscule portion of the overall fanbase. The vocal minority if you will.
The overwhelming majority of people who enjoyed the game aren't posting here.
Also, the majority of reviews are favourable. This episode has an 81 on Metacritic. It's been a well received episode, despite what the pundits are saying here.
Not just the forums though, I'm in several different social network type communities and all I keeps seeing are people who feel episode 4 was extremely weak and very negative comments (on tumblr, facebook, twitter, ect.)
All of those combined with the forums are definitely not a small portion of the fanbase. They are the fans. I can't say episode 3 or 4 were absolutely terrible but it definitely needs criticism (and I've agreed with most of the fan criticism I've seen so far).
It just pisses me off that an episode like this recieved a 6//10
Well, that's very simply explained:

Read this wiki article and you'll understand why you see so many negative comments on social media.
People who hate something are far more likely to speak up about it than those that love something. It's human nature.
