why did ******* die so fast?

at the very end of episode 4 rebecca dies of hypothermia, she had the jacket on to keep her warm but still died, was it due to her be pregnant or what?

  • Hypothermia, starvation, exhaustion, and the pregnancy itself

  • Let's not forget, she just gave birth. She's more prone than anyone.

  • All of those one at a time can be tough on a person, but all at one...

Damn I feel for Rebecca right now.

  • ya i guess the pregnancy is what really weakened her.

  • We don't actually know for sure if Rebecca was really dead. She could have just been groggy, or on the brink of death, and Clem/Kenny jumped to conclusions in the middle of a stressful predicament. That's the whole point; it's the meat locker situation all over again. We'll never find out how right or wrong we would have been.

  • Pretty sure I saw walker eyes, plus she was waving her arms all weird-like.

I dunno I might have to replay the episode and pay closer attention.

  • nah she was a walker, had walker eyes and leaned over dead.

  • She was dead for sure. I don't think they're going for another one of those moralistic scenarios. We already had that with Sarita.

I think that decision was more "If I shoot, it will cause a shoot out... but if I don't, Rebecca zombie will eat the baby."

  • i have a feeling that if rebecca didnt turn into a walker the shootout wouldnt have happened.

  • How did Rebecca turned into a walker in just a few minutes after her death??? I mean, I know she just gave birth and all, but isn't that too fast for a turn?

  • I can't remember anyone dying and turning quickly in the season thus far but I think the point of it was just to have someone shoot her and set off the gunfight that ends the episode.

  • That's the same thing I thought about Sarita, but there might been other factors in how fast a person can turn.

Last season David or Travis (Ben's original companions in episode 2) turned rather quickly as well,so we know of cases in the game where it has happened at least.

  • Not exactly. David's leg was chopped off and he passed out from blood loss. Who knows, he might already be dead even before Katjaa said so. Same applies to Travis, who got shot and passed out.

The time interval still looks a while longer than Rebecaa's turn.

Yeah, people will turn just after about a few minute of death, for those whom seem to have long time interval is because they were struggling/pass out, but not completely dead.

Also, giving birth might cause death, and the rate is higher than most people thought, especially when you in that unfavorable conditions, I am actually surprised she didn't die after long time starvation and exhaustion.

  • Excellent point,I never took into account how long it took them to get back and the events that transpired when they did arrive, also the fact that they died in different ways.
