The Kenny show that is S2

Let me start by saying kenny is and has been one of my favourite characters since S1, and im defo on team kenny, this is more of a "wtf is S2 " thread..

I dont usualy rant off especially on forums but I feel I need to get this off my chest :<....

I was hoping so bad that ep4 would in some way redeem S2 but once again im left in complete shock in regards to the half baked story/plot and the complete lack of character conections....

First off, as soon as TT decided to put the player in control of clem the season was doomed, the whole reason S1 worked so well was because we were responsible for clem, every decision we made we first ran it through our heads how is this going to effect clems mental state and physical safety, that has now gone, totally gone, decisions in S1 like the meat locker with larry, do we want clem witnessing such a act ? But what about if this goes belly up and we put clem in danger....? Leaving clem at the mansion. Do we leave her alone with omid who may die and turn, not to mention who or what may attack the mansion, or do we take her with us on a known dangerous mission to get these supplies... we have non of this now this season has been no where near the level of S1.. its not even comparable.

Decisions in S2 like EP4 where we are given the choice to talk sarah around or leave her were no brainers, if that was lee or another player controlled character that decision would have been far harder because we have clem to look after, its been the same all season...

I think it says a lot that S2 is STILL even at ep4 feeding off our relationship with kenny, a relationship that was formed (good or bad) back in S1, so far S2 has given us nothing.... but we will come back to this in a bit..

So with al, the above caused by the player playing clem we also have the other side, as we are now clem we have to be doing somthing, we carnt be sitting on a log while the rest do their thing, so this forces the story into stupid mode.... in S1 99% of the situations and actions we had to take/make as lee made sense, in S2 I feel like I playing a game that someone threw together. Why on earth would you take a young girl over the bridge when we had fully grown men sitting there doing feck all....? I dont care how messed up some of them were or how badass tt portrayed clem, that just would not happen..

Why would nick and pete risk taking a new little girl into the woods? Wouldn't happen, why is alvin asking me to go into a unsecured building to find food for his wife? It makes no sence apart from that we are now clem and because of this we need to do things, it was a moronic decision on every level and it was never going to work. Clem do this clem do that, just go and kill that herd will ya clem while I sit here picking my nose, its a joke.... one big joke..

I understand peoples play throughs in S1 will differ but I was responsible for clem, kenny had his familly and so on, while being part of the adult characters I felt there was this group making decisions to get through this madness and try and keep us all safe, in S2 I just feel im acting out a load of shit that the writers want me to do..

This luke and kenny thing we all have going here, you play S1 you either like or you don't like kenny grate we know where we are, but luke? The truth is we dont fecking know!! We know nothing about him, all we no is he disappears every 2 mins when needed nut hes a generaly nice guy thats it, I still don't know what to think of the guy I know nothing about him, I had a slightly more in depth relationship with nick after being with him in the garage but that was half baked..

Rebecca... omg Rebecca... so much could have been done here soool much, but just as I was starting to get a middle ground with here and the slight glimmer of a meaningful relationship im given the choice to kill her at the end of ep4?? Come TT wtf.... I dont care no where near enough yet nomwhere near..... how hard was the larry decision in S1? And thats a guy most of us detested, can u imagine if we were put in that situation with doug/lilly/kat/dug/kenny hell even the lovable hobo? That decision would have been insane... chopping saritas hand off... you get the picture, we just don't care enough..

The hard truth is, I dont care for luke, hes ok nice guy and all but if I was to see him get chomped I wouldnt be reaching for the box of tissues, sarah.. when she buys it, I wasnt pulled anywhere near like I was in S1, take ben, I couldnt stand the kid (or so I thought) untill his time come, and I was left feeling totally empty on his death and made me question my own feelings, same duck, he irritated the shit outa me but for me his demise was the strongest of S1....

Top marks to the game devs top marks to the voice actors and artists, but the guys who are writing this need to sit down and take stock quick...

If a FPS doesnt do FPS well it fails... if a puzzle game doesn't do puzzles well it fails. If a story driven game has no solid story it fails, im sorry TT and some of you guys here but S2 is now a failure imo, and there is nothing to change that this season....

Where was the story in ep1 S2.. no character relationships formed all season good or bad, so yes this is the kenny show, because tt decided to go with clem as the main character taking away all that made S1 work, why we felt, why we pulled our hair out at every seemingly simple choice, we call it the kenny show becuase love him or hate him hes the only relationship we truly have in S2, and thats all down to the work of S1, had kenny not been in S1 S2 would be ......... I don't even want to think about it tbh..

Ep5..... tbh i would be quite happy if everyone got killed bar clem and Kenny, I dont care for the rest I just dont, not enough to hurt, so what im really saying is that to get anything out of S2 I need kenny and clems death..........wtg TT I don't know how you did it but I feel I need there deaths... thats quite an achievement.

I mean this is supposed to be a STORY FFS, we have the crista's baby line that never even gets gets hinted at during Rebecca's labour, and there is simply no excuse for it. NON!I I dont care where TT take that story line, it happened in clems world and clem would of had feelings in that situation end of, its that simple, but TT seem more concered with making clem into some 12 year old robocop, who does everything, its just a case or of "here sre some characters now do this" I dont want to be a 12 yr old shutting down a wind turbine thank you, I play this game for feels and emotional shock, there are toms of super hero games out there that do a way better job of it than TWD, in S1 I never felt like I was bashing buttons, I always felt " must protect quick" S2 however im just button mashing when the game says so, the whole argument of multiple story arcs in S1 was null invoid imo, yes it would have been nice but either way Man you got feels, not so in S2, I can honestly say S2 has been hard work to play through, every episode of S1 on completion I sat there through the credits saying "WOW that was intensive" S2 its more "are you kidding me"

Just my opinion folks, k kmow some of you have enjoyed S2 and im glad I really am but there are a lot of people left wondering wtf happened, if S3 does come to fruition, biiig changes need to be made, and tbh im not that sure if I can bring myself to play through ep5 now, never mind a 3rd series if its anything like S2, I can watch a lets play of ep5 and say "baaaaa kenny brought it in the firefight with the Russians or he survived" the rest im not arsed about, a lot could be done with the baby but after S2 im holding no hope for this, I think im done tbh, a major disappointment. I think ill just remember S1 for the masterpiece it was and move on, because S2 has been a joke..

Sorry for the negativity guys, not usualy me at all but disappointed aint the word..

As I say congratulations once again to the actors/coders/artists just a crying shame the writing has been so pathetic. Strong I know and im sorry for it I really am but S2 could have been soooooooo much more..
