Too ahead but...who would be the new protagonist in the new season?
What do you think guys? I believe Clem's story should continue. Unlike Lee that dies in the 1st Season, I believe Clem is too young to be a walker or never to be one of those walkers. I let Lee say she will never be one while they're on the train.
Recently, I'm on the first season, but spoliers really spoil the game I'm on. I saw Kenny that he's alive in the 2nd Season. Please, don't tell me I need to finish the game or whatever violent reaction just because I did not finish the game yet.
Ok. Back to the topic, who would be the new protagonist? A grown-up Clementine, would be cool if you imagine.
I salute for Lee!

IF there really has to be a "grown up" Clementine PLEASE don't make it be BECCA, the lil bitch from 400 Days.
Clem can be a walker. If Duck and Fivel, the zombie kid in the manor, could turn, I'm sure Clem could turn too.
I feel there is still a lot of life in the Clementine character as she would have had 2 season of backstory going back 2 odd years of lifetime. I'd like to see her character evolve into a teen/young adult. It would bring a lot more interesting dynamics.
It would be hard to do this series with a fresh character. At this point I feel a lot of people wouldn't give it much of a chance. That and the fact that creating new lead characters for anything, whether it be a show or movie or game, never really turn out great. People are always going to be more invested in something that they followed along with, rather then trying to force something else down their throats
A grown-up Clementine probaby won't happen because Telltale won't go that far. The longest apocalypse in the TWD universe is the apocalypse in the comics that lasts for 4 years already. In my opinion, grown-up Clementine is about 16-18 years old and it means that Telltale must make an awfully big timeskip (5-7 years) and no one will be happy with this. And it will mean that in total Clem will live in the apocalypse for 7-9 years. Way too far, don't you think?
Bonnie! Clem could still be with Bonnie
Clem. But I would play a Season 3 as Mike.
TLOU takes it up a notch. 20 Years dude. That is rough. (I'm not trying to compare or anything I'm just saying)
how about a determinate protagonist like either kenny or christa, bonnie or mike, luke or jane, i think two choices for protagonist (determined in season 2) would make a new season something special and new
13 YEAR OLD CLEMENTINE, THERE WAS A TIME SKIP IN THE COMICS SO THIS IS POSSIBLE.
New character? I dunno. All the characters we have found so fare have already a too definite personality to be played without risking ruining them.
I'd go for someone completely new. Maybe someone we meet in the town in the next episode? Or keep going with Clem. I see no other way
i imagine it will still be Clementine unless something truly awful happens in the finale
I was thinking,if TTG can make a time skip enough to make Rebecca's baby grow up...he can be the next main character. What if in the ending of S2 just Clem and the baby make it out alive ? It would be funny to see Clem as a mother figure in S3
Just continue on with Clementine.
I would like a completely new character, with a completely new group, somewhere other than Georgia.
I cared an awful lot about every character in the entire group in Season 1 by the second half of Episode 2, seems to me that Telltale wouldn't need much time to make the player feel that way again if the writing is good.
I say give Clem/Kenny a 'happy' ending, (find a really secure, sustainable place, maybe Christa too), and then move on.
The problem if Clem could turn or not... It's not physical or logical or whatever... Anyone can turn but I wonder if they would find the heart and the will to make her and let her be a mindless brain eater (more like guts eater... I noticed these zombies like guts and flesh... They never go for the brain... Maybe harder to get).
It's more of a moral thing. It's unacceptable and if they do it I'm freaking suing them and making a street protest in front of their offices.
And I'm boycotting them. I'll make sure nobody will EVER purchase a telltale game.
lol
I think that the whole group will fall apart in Episode 5 and only the strongest people in there will make it through. I got my hopes for Clementine to be still alive and Luke, Jane and Bonnie, or at least one of them, to be with her. sorry for the spoilers, but how can you ask such thing without wanting spoilers
not really, just two sets of protagonist dialogue and actions
Recently seeing anyone talking about the the whole story was based on comics...do they have their own appearances in the comics?
If possible, a link?
I would like to read about it.
If telltale fucks up episode 5, I don't care, I'm not going to buy season 3 so I don't give a shit even if the new protagonist would be a guy called yolo mcswaga.
Nate please. Yeah I think it's about time we played as a male antagonist.
You really hated this season that much?
I bet the Season will end with them finding a temporarily safe places, then something like a tank and army show up and blast their sanctuary to pieces
No, I did not. Season 2 is good but season 1 was amazing. If they srew episode 5, I know telltale isn't capable to create something that amazing anymore and I loose my interest.
I agree Season 2 hasn't been the Sequel that I hoped for but i don't think telltale lost their touch its just they got carried away with how many games they should work on. Also some of their policies they put in place like that 90 minute episode cap didn't help at all.
Grown up Clem, of course.
Lee's legacy needs to live on somehow.
Her legacy will have to live on trough... The baby ?
Clem hopefully.
I want Clem because she's always been the main character so I doubt they'll change it. Lee was not the main character in season 1.
No offense but why would they do that? That's not how the walking dead works.
I believe so, but I don't wanna see Clem screw up from those walkers like what happened to Lee. I don't want such inspiring people become lost.
I saw how Lee really care for Clem in times of world-gone-to-shit, but it was sad to lose Lee from Clem. I wish this same thing will never happen. I like the way Clem acts like a damn little leader.
They're not in the comic they just run on the comic timeline.
Yap, I totally agree. Telltale is a small studio, they shouldn't make thousands of games with an average quality, they should make one game at time and really put their focus on it.
...which is 2 games...
Well even though we played as Lee in season 1 it wasnt really Lee's story it was clems which continues I season 2. I think that Clems story arc shouldn't end yet and mayne we continue as keeojnh clem as the main protagonist.
Way to be overdramatic.
Glenn and Hershel (and originally Lilly, but Kirkman fucked up there) are the characters who go into the comic from the game.
If they make another DLC, I'd like to see him be a major part or a PC, but who knows?
Clementine is a possibility. But I think it would be more interesting if it were someone else.
I think the most obvious are these three candidates:
I think 13 year old Clem should be in season three, if i'm honest.
IF we get to meet up with Lilly in Wellington, which is a BIG if. I think we could be able to play as her. It's been about two years since we have seen her, and the zombie apocalypse changes people's personality. We could make Lilly be someone who became remorseful and more kind after killing Carly or Doug, or make her a ice cold survivalist. Lilly liked Clem, she has no quarrels with her, even if your Lee liked her or not.
As far as Christa goes, I doubt Telltale would have us play as her. All the things that happened between her and Clem have not be shown to us, and it would be strange playing as her when her and Clem went through things that we don't even know about.
I'd be perfectly fine with keeping Clem as main character for season 3.
That being said, I think it could be pretty interesting if TTG made a twist. Like, we get a totally new group, maybe with some known faces (people from carver, Molly, Jane, Christa...?) who ends up fighting Clem's group over a lot of mistakes and misunderstandings. Clem acting as the enemy with 3 or 4 more years on herself could be interesting. I mean a war with no obvious good/bad sides with a lot of harsh choices to be made. The main character would be someone who wants the war to end peacefully as I doubt any os us would pull the trigger agaisnt Clem.
