So... I'm thinking of buying The Wolf Among Us... (BOUGHT AND FINISHED. REACTION THREAD LINKED)

edited July 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

Is it worth it? Kind of low on spending money right now, but I do really want to get it. Like, will it take two seconds to play through? How many seasons and episodes are there?

(I've made up my mind I'm getting it tomorrow it sounds too awesome to push off)

*EDIT Guess what happened yesterday. I scratched a lottery ticket and won 25 dollars, THE EXACT AMOUNT I NEED FOR TWAU OH MY GOD.

*EDIT Guess what happened yesterday this time. I FINISHED THE GAME. Here is my reaction thread!

  • It's an artistically unique game, complete with a variety of interesting characters - let's put it that way. Only 1 season containing 5 episodes, just like any other season that Telltale has made.

Thanks for the comment! And yes, the art style in the game is beautiful! (and I like wolves, so I think I will buy it)

This is coming from a fan of both series. Dude GET IT! It's worth every penny. It should take you a little under 8 hours to beat all 5 episodes but, dude it's WORTH IT!

  • It looks AMAZING, too!

Tell us how it was when you're done.

Definitely a right choice to go for it. I was kind of "late" too (bought it like 3 weeks before episode 5 was released) but when I got it I didn't regret for a sec. I really, really enjoyed TWAU. Lovely art style, interesting characters, great atmosphere...

  • Anytime!

Plus, it'd be weird if a person were to play TWAU that had a hatred for wolves. XP

Sounds good:). Like the others said, it's a great game with an interesting story, characters and a unique setting and art style. I'm playing both games and I'm not afraid to admit I enjoyed TWAU even more than TWD("Faith" is my favorite Telltale episode so far).

You should tell us how it was when you finish an episode or two. I hope you'll like it and have as much fun as we did.

  • You should really get it! Its really fun, and tbh I have enjoyed it more than TWD S2. Its a really cool story, the characters are freaking awesome, and I really like the artwork (thought I should point that out for some reason). There is only one season so far (so 5 episodes), but get it and I promise you will be praying for a second season like the rest of us.

Has a second season been confirmed? (I'm getting it tomorrow btw it sounds awesome!)

  • Sadly not yet. But with the ending the game had (I'm not going to give too much away), it seems like they are at least planning on a DLC. There is quite a demand for a second season however, so it will be kind of sad if Telltale doesn't decide to continue this series.

  • Well, I hope they continue and I haven't even played yet, haha!
