Crap!

Did anyone notice that Clem said ''crap'' while destroying the observation deck? I don't really know if it's a bad swear word, but I don't like my Clem saying it. It's just like in 202 when Clem said ''shit'' on the bridge. I just... I just don't like it. I raised Clem to be nice, and I played Clem as a nice person. At least in the real world, yes, there is a real world, I don't swear myself. Do you like your Clem swearing? I don't.

  • good on you for not swearing im scottish so yeah it kinda comes naturally but with clementine i agree in that fact that i dont want to her too swear its like when she seen luke and jane i wonder if she understood what had just happened

  • Yeah everyone hates when Clementine curses.

And crap isn't a bad word, I doubt it. It's like she cant say "screw you".

  • Her swearing fits well with how I personally play her, so maybe I'm a little biased, but to me, it seems like it would be a habit she would just pick up. Kids soak stuff up like sponges and everyone around her swears like a sailor and have for a couple years now.

I was itching for the opportunity to curse at some people in the last episode. You can call Kenny an asshole, at least.

  • I'm waiting for someone to mention Ellie.

  • Did you swear around Clem in season 1? It's implied in Season 1 that she learns some swears from Lee if you did and Katjaa really gives you a bad look if you taught her to say that word.

    I don't see crap as a curseword.

I'm not really a fan of Clem swearing but i don't mind mild words like crap, she even said crappiest in season 1.

  • Yeh. I don't want Clemmy to swear. :c But I assume it's because of the people she's around, and how she was 'forced' to grow up. Stuff like that can influence a kid like her.

  • Shows she's maturing, dude.

  • Alot of people don't consider crap a swear word. However,I was surprised to find out a while ago (courtesy of a class mate) that they considered the word crap a swear word.To be honest I don't believe its a swear word.I think its like the word "butt, bum, hell" Its just a ruder form of "poo".This is my opinion though and I understand others may consider it a swear. So I don't mind if Clementine uses that word, and shes getting older too so I guess its understandable.

  • Don't think crap is a bad swear word. Their are worse.

  • I think it's kind of funny that Clementine should be a cold, hardened, emotionless wreck by now, but everyone's primary concern is that they don't want her to start cursing.

  • I want Clem to say all the curse words.

  • Cutting off Sarita's arm? Meh.

Clem saying shit? OMG SHE'S LOSING HER INNOCENCE.

  • Swearing's subjective and depends on your upbringing. A few years ago, I said hell in front of my grandmother and younger cousin. My grandmother told me not to say that. Meanwhile, my cousin's mother didn't really care. Crap, hell, damn might not be seen as bad by some groups while in others they're as bad as shit and fuck.

Interesting tidbit for people here: dork's actually slang for penis. So that can be considered an obscene word, too, by some groups.

    Interesting how times change, hmm?

  • My Clem said "asshole" to Kenny and i don't care about it, she's a little girl that grew up in a world without rules.

  • I don't want clem swearing a lot, but under all that stress and depression she must be feeling saying crap is nothing.

  • Crap isn't a swaer, at leastmost people don't think it is. Anyway, she said "Crappiest" in 104, so it's nothing new.

  • She shouldn't Swear at this age, She needs to grow older to swear ;)

  • For your information, she can even say the word "asshole" in episode 4.So her saying "crap" is not even noticeable for me.
