About all the episode 4 hate.....

edited July 2014 in The Walking Dead

Ok this may be a mistake to post, but here i go....

I get it, there were flaws. The most complaints i see are about nick and Sarah's pointless deaths. But even if the episode was terrible, which i don't think so, I think we keep forgetting this is just a game. It's just for entertainment. And if it isn't good, oh well, there are other games, other things we can do. Out lives aren't over. Our lives don't revolve around this game. Let's just try to enjoy it, like we're supposed to, and at least look at the positive things. There's no need to boycott telltale, a couple mistakes in a game isn't a reason to do so.

I personally don't think it wasn't a perfect episode. But i say it was worth the wait. Now, I'll wait for the next one, visit this website a couple times, and enjoy my summer.

    sarah tho

  • I don't really like this perspective, as you're basically saying fans don't have the right to complain about everything, so I guess Duke Nukem Forever was a masterpiece, just because it was given to us, lol.

  • To me it seems pointless to critique a work of art, because its subjective to each person. Shrug,

I can see where you're coming from, but there is such a thing as objectively bad writing and game design.

  • Hmm, I hope it didn't come out like that. People don't have to like the episode, but there's a ridiculous amount of hate seems like.

  • If someone didn't like episode 4 it is there right not to like it, but c'mon just because Nick had a shitty death doesn't mean the entire episode was ruined. It was an amazing episode, in general.

  • I liked the episode too, but there were definitely problems. I just think the mindset of "it's art, it's pointless to critique it" isn't very productive at all.

  • Sarah and Nick had bad deaths, but making 1000 threads and "protesting" does nothing. Sorry but one bad death doesn't ruin the episode for me some of you need to Get. Over. It.

  • Rylee the only sensible realistic and sincere person. But c'mon their deaths were horrible.

  • Ignore the dislikes Rylee overtime users will get over it. The first stage is denial, now they are at the anger stage which consists of making tons of angry threads.

  • I think people's main issues with how railroaded the episode felt. Like, there were many wasted moments for potential - look at Sarah, for instance. Near Episode 2's start, it gives you a chance to teach her how to protect herself with a gun. Most of us expected that would've been used somehow, yet it feels like a slap in the face to our choices when we're not even given that option to save her. As for Nick, it felt as if he was sidelined and given very little attention.
