Who will be our judge?

edited July 2014 in The Walking Dead

It seems TellTale makes someone judge your actions, The Stranger from Season 1 and The Crooked Man from The Wolf Among Us. So now who do you will be our judge?

EDIT: I just realized that this person would have to be with us from the beginning to know about our choices.

I believe if you kill the Crooked Man beforehand, Fabletown is instead your judge. I have no idea who our judge could.

  • Russian Harry Potter, that's who!

...But in all seriousness, he COULD be.

  • Clemeentine, yes? You are not nice pierson to me. Now you die, yes? And I keep leetle baby. [Stereotypical Russian bad guy laugh]

  • In Soviet Russia, everyone speaks like Arvo....

  • Maybe Clementine is going to have the choice to judge Kenny/Luke for their actions throughout the story instead. The focus has practically been about them the whole time, anyway.

  • Prior to episode 4, I felt like Luke would become the "judge" of the season. He seems to remember a lot of Clem's more morally ambiguous choices. Like choosing to watch Kenny beat Carver, and he calls you out on it too.

But after Luke messes up in episode 4, if he were to judge Clem, I would be so annoyed, like, "Really? You're going to judge me over my choices when you've made plenty of shitty ones yourself?"

I dunno, I suppose TellTale could still pull it off if they were going in that direction, but I think Luke kind of lost the right to be judgmental over Clem's actions.

  • In Soviet Russia, Baby keeps Arvo.

    Dun dun duuuun!

  • I chose to watch Carver die but he didn't call me out for it, What did you and Luke say?

  • I would probably say Christa if she returns, and someone alive such as Kenny explains everything to her.

  • Does there have to be a judge at all?

Yeah I think christa would be the best bet if there had to be one

  • I didn't see it personally, but I saw a gif set of that scene. Luke says something along the lines of "I didn't think the horror had reached you yet, but you watched Kenny murder Carver and you didn't even blink."

What does Clem say? I would say the asshole got what was coming to him.

  • Not sure, I think she remains silent, but there's a text under the gif set that says "I'm not a little kid anymore."

  • Personally I think it's disturbing that Clem would actively enjoy
    something like that.

Would lee have made her watch it?

  • I don't think Lee would have wanted her to watch. At least, not my Lee.

  • Could be Christa. You have to tell her what happens and she'll judge you and what will happen to the baby.

Perhaps we judge ourselves? Maybe we tell our story to some new character or to an old friend/ally? I don't know honestly. But this is a very, very good question.

Honestly, I don't really know how having a judge would work this season. I mean, Clementine's only 11. Would anyone really hold her accountable for her actions? Would anyone really have the gall to punish her if her actions were bad?

Yes, no matter how old you are, you still chose to do something, and those things have consequences.

  • Agreed, just with a side note: kids don't fully comprehend the totality of their actions. They may not or most likely will not realize the long term impact of their actions.

Then again Clem is obviously not like most kids and the walker apocalypse would have some ramifications on these ideas.

You have the option of choosing what you want to respond with. You can say it either disturbed you, he deserved it, or you can ask what he would have done instead. If you ask what Luke would have done, he admits that he doesn't know but says that he would have done less than what Kenny did.

  • What if...Clem had a dream/hallucination judge, and it could be all the people she's known to have died so far? Or, what if it was Lee? O.O Ha, maybe I'm just a sucker for cliched drama, but that wouldn't seem too bad to me....

  • Maybe Christa?
