"We're Friends..." "No, no we're not"

When talking to Sarah later on at Parkers Run, if you saved her in the trailer, she will ask you if Jane and Luke were going to leave her, then she will ask why you didn't leave her, you can say something like "Because, we're friends" and im not sure if this happens to everyone, or if its based on how you treat Sarah, but in my play through she says something along the lines of "No, no we're not", its pretty sad

    I'm pretty sure it depends on how you treat her. I used the same option and on my playthrough she said something like "I could never be that good of a friend :("

    To be honest though, she hadn't even met Sarah and she wanted to be "best friends", I understand she was sheltered but seriously WTF? I dont even know you so i used the "eventually we can be friends" response.

    I'm... pretty sure I did the pinkie swear and still got the "No, we aren't" though?? Shit. I don't remember doing anything shitty to her... I took the blame for the photo, I tried to be good to her at ep 3...

    Okay. I'm confused.

    Edit: OH YEAH I was an asshole in Ep 3 and did my own work. I guess that was it.

    I pinky swore and was always nice to her, but she still said we weren't friends. The slap was required to save her, right? That's all I can think of that could have caused it.

    Yeah I got the same thing as you. I think it depends on the first episode, if you tell her you're friends or not and do that pinkie swear.
