"Jaime...Sarah...I'm not going to stick around and watch it happen to you too" Clementine's fate

Since Jane predicted Sarah's fate afterwards if you chose to rescue her, I hope Telltale wasn't trying to foreshadow again from her that Clementine won't survive in Episode 5...

Could it be that Clementine will be terribly wounded after the ending of EP4? Or was Jane just being hopeless due to the pain of losing Jaime and Sarah?

Feel free to share because there's not even a preview for Episode 5.

  • That's freaking scary. O-O

  • I think she'll be injured in the gunfight.

  • Jane is too cold to accept the possibility of hope, which Clem radiates to the group. I'd imagine that Jane may return, if only because someone has to use that handy new nail filer to get the bullets out.

Oh, wait! Did I say that out loud? No. I typed it. :l

  • I say instead of running away, jane should have stayed to PREVENT it from happening to clem.

  • I doubt it. They already killed the player character in season 1, so wouldn't it be a bit too repetitive to pull that off again in the finale like before? Clementine has also gone through a whole lot of character development; it would be a hell of a waste to simply kill her off after dedicating nearly two seasons to her.

If Jane's line was some kind of foreshadowing by Telltale, then they better be ready for the wrath they'll no doubt receive. I can handle character deaths, but it has to be a death that does the character justice...something with meaning, or serves a purpose.

  • Maybe... maybe not.

  • Lee is channeling all his energy from heaven down on Clementine. She has supreme plot armor so she'll probably leave the shootout unharmed.

  • Yeah she'll leave unharmed...

But I have a feeling Bonnie and Mike may not be as lucky...

Lee...Where're you when we need you? Why the hell did you have to get out of the fuckin' house? Just to get infected? Please don't do it again, Lee :(

  • How I see it: when I start playing episode 5 I will hear a gunshot and Clementine is shot, it will go slowmo and someone will carry her away from there, and then she goes unconscious. :-)

  • And Chuck said too, That Clem is gonna die.

  • Yeah the only one who got lucky was luke

  • Hrm I think it's unlikely anyone will get out of the gunfight unscathed, except maybe the baby. Probably Clem will be injured. I think her injury could have the potential to be fatal, but also the potential for Clem to recover from it, because I don't think killing off TT's protagonist at the end of the season again will be very original. If Clem does get injured, it's partly Jane's fault for robbing Arvo in the first place (at least taking his gun, if not the pills.) How's that for self-fulfilling prophecy?

Look at the first supposed achievement of No Going Back

Blood and Iron - Made it out alive

Obviously Clementine is going to survive the shooting, but she would anyway since she can't die without the season being finished (we're playing as her). But this doesn't confirm whether she's completely fine or even wounded. She could maybe have a gut shot for trying to run over to the baby to protect it, or in the leg which would refer back to Season 1 where Lee hurt his leg in the car crash.

But think to how Nick got shot in the shoulder and how fast he turned. If Clementine was to be shot in the shoulder then she wouldn't have much time at all, leading to a much shorter episode which would be unlikely (although TWAU finale was just over an hour). If certain characters like Christa are to return though, then surely the episode would stay at it's normal length or even longer since apparently Telltale have been working on the finale ever since production of the previous episodes (from what I've heard)

  • Jane was so out of line saying that. Bitch. Clem isn't like Jaime or Sarah in the slightest -_-

  • This could be a Molly situation here. Both Jane and Molly lost their sisters, and there shortly left the group afterwards. Maybe Jane thought she would be better on her own, just like Molly.

  • Clementine is like immortal guys don't worry.

    (ô‿ô)

  • It might be that there's a QTE in the beginning of episode 5 to dodge the bullets.

  • Don't jump to conlusion just because we hard some gunshots. Telltale has the habit to not make highlights for the next episode very reliable. I don't think anywone will shoot apart form kenny who shot a zombified rebecca.

If they do, It'll be a massacre. My bet is: Mike dies, Bonnie is hurt (and will die shortly after), Luke is hurt, kenny is fine, Clem is fine. At the end, lukes will die for the wounds and bite kenny, who will ask Clementine to kill him or go away before he turns, mimicking Lee's death in S1E6

  • Jane has a point with the "Everyone's luck runs out," but she's full of it.
Reasons? Comparing Jamie with Sarah. They weren't the same at all lol.

  • Sounds good, but in a tweet, episode 5 apparently has a "pizza or icecream" choice. And you can't have both. So I assume it's a "Save Luke or Kenny?" thing.

  • Telltale would probably troll the hell out of us. The huge gun fight?

Two shots fired, one from each side...

    Kenny: HEY, WATCH IT ASSHOLES

Buricko: AWW LOOK AT THE CUTE LIL BABY. LOOK AT THE CUTE LIL BABY...

Then Clem and The Angry Russians fight zombies happily ever after..

  • Clem and the baby could be the only survivors and the rest of the episode could just be about them in the aftermath of the shootout. It's unlikely, but I think that'd be interesting if it was done correctly.

  • While there's typically no such thing as plot armor in The Walking Dead, I doubt they'll kill off Clem at this stage... unless there isn't a Season 3 planned.

I don't think they could do it without pissing everyone off. It would be like killing off Daryl in the show. Lots of people would immediately check out, never to return.

  • itll be some pulp fiction type of shit

  • I'm not sure if Telltale will end up killing Clementine. I mean, she's like the only beacon of hope.
Mike is the expendable character from the final scene of EP2. Killing off Bonnie after sorta redeeming herself would be just messed up. Telltale likes to close storylines somehow.

  • Myself included, and I'm already pretty miffed at TTG this season. If they actually do something as foolish as killing off Clementine, then I'm done with this game for good.

Eh, I didn't take that statement to be especially foreboding, since she was pretty much saying everyone's going to bite it eventually, which is true. She just couldn't watch the inevitable happen to someone she was clearly drawing parallels to her sister with. But she also makes a point of emphasizing that while some people cannot survive on their own, she believes Clementine can if she makes the right decisions. If anything, I'd say her words were more about future possibilities of going it alone or leaving more people behind, especially as the group continues to crumble.

I could see her being injured in the firefight though, and maybe while she's out, she has a Lee dream or something, but I'm not actually worried she'll die.

  • That would be SO fucked up. I still remember when I chose to save Carley over Doug, and it kinda haunts me.

  • Lee's ghost will protect Clem and her group causing the all fall down trophy from 204. Lee will use his strength to kill the Russian bandits.

    Right? But y'know Telltale is gonna do this to us. They're sadists in some cases. ; - ;

  • Actually the choice Carley/doug was the only real choice we got so far. It'd be nice to have something like it

  • It's possible Clementine could get hit by a stray bullet, but not fatal.

I hope not fatal anyway T_T I'm scared now.

  • After what happened to Nick and Sarah, I'd say Telltale is merciless to any character when they want to be. I hope at least one person will survive to travel with Clementine on her journey to Wellington...
