"Wait...you robbed this guy?"

Oh, and speaking of robbing, Kenneth...

Who was the one who suggested stealing all their shit? Not a hate thread. I just...had to put that out there...

    Kenny: "You robbed this guy?"

Clem: "He didn't have a station wagon, but I did the best I could."

Kenny: "Hey hey hey, let's not talk about that right now..."

^ Dialogue option we SHOULD have had.

  • Maybe Kenny learned from his mistakes.... I sure did, but Arvo still bit me in the ass :P

Theirs a difference between robing a guy at gun point (Like Clem and Jane did) and just taking stuff out of a abandon car. I mean Kenny didn't know that the guy who owned that car was still alive and i'm sure if the stranger was still at his car when Lee and the group got their i doubt Kenny would have pulled a gun on him told him to hand it over especially not in front of Duck.

  • "Don't worry, Duck. It's OURS NOW."

  • To be fair is was stupid for the stranger to leave his car out in the open and unlocked with food in it. Even before the zombie outbreak that is a stupid thing to do so it is really reasonable for Kenny to think the guy who owned it to be dead or has just abandoned it.

"Don't worry, Duck. It's OURS NOW."

  • Ikr whoa Ken XD Maybe he just couldn't believe CLEM of all people would do it

  • Here's a fun test of morality,

Don't eat for a week and then play season 1 episode 2. And you're only allowed to eat afterward if you decide to take stuff from the car.

Heck, you'll probably end up telling Clem to eat her diner at the nice farm. :P

  • To be fair they decided to take the goods as a group in the first season pretty much with the choice of steal or die. In this case, Jane (optionally with Clem) decide to do this on their own. And even if you don't take anything from the bag, Jane still steals the gun. It was something the entire group should have been aware of because it could become an eventually threat as we can obviously see. It wasn't a secret that should have been kept and I completely understand the reply as shock.

  • been there, so i understand why most people would do it irl. though not everyone would, i for one wouldn't, though i would stick around to see if someone returned for it after a few hours, if not i'd dig in (saying no and then just leaving is pretty stupid, maybe they are dead and you just lucked out).

  • i'm pretty sure he stole from his group and blamed it on the encounter, it seems like a lot of trouble for a gun (given he pulled it on her).

I was more annoyed there wasnt a "NO we didnt"

  • "She was bit...I had too..."

"HOW FUCKING DARE YOU CLEMENTINE?!"That isn't your choice!"

The role-reversal is strong with this one.

Heh, yeah. Kenny can be a hypocrite sometimes...

  • I'm pretty sure he was just shocked. And in his defense, he thought the car was abandoned.

  • Has Kenny ever found out he stole from somebody? I mean, who could tell him that he ruined some guy's life? I don't think Clem ever mentioned Stranger after they left Savannah.

  • Not really, depending if Lee steals or not, the stranger says his goal wasn't Lee, it was Ken and Katjaa, if Lee steals then he is responsible too, im a Kenny fan and it was wrong to steal but we can't blame him for that too, the stranger even said it.

  • Kenny: Wait you ROBBED This guy?

Clem: No! He's lying, Jane took his gun and scared him off, he was dumping meds in a trashcan and he said he had a sick sister but I didn't believe him.

  • Now that i know Arvo, i regret not robbing him.

  • No hes not if anyone is to blame its Clementine for listening to a stranger over a radio and leaving that house without asking Lee first.

  • Actually Kenny´s biggest hipocrisy act was getting mad at Clementine after she axed Sarita´s forehead.
Here i will show a paralel with the meat locker scene at S1E2:

    S2´s Clementine = S1´s Kenny

    S2´s Kenny = S1´s Lilly

    S2´s Sarita = S1´s Larry

So it is allowed to do the "hard thing" as long as it isn´t YOUR family, right? Even though he saw himself Sarita getting bitten while Larry wasn´t dead for sure.

  • Really wish we could've pointed this stuff out.
Like this, and when he yells at us about Sarita, we could've reminded him about Larry and the meatlocker. Gosh.

  • Kenny's a hypocrite. It even says so on the wiki.

  • I wish there was a "What about Larry?!" option. We need some more reminders of S1. I love Kenny, but he can act like a hypocrite indeed. I still don't get why he would be mad at Clem if she didn't cut off Sarita's arm. She had nothing to do with her in that case.

Disarming a guy who was pointing a gun at a child is not stealing a gun. It's letting him leave with his life after threatening someone, which they arguably shouldn't have done.

But, absolutely, the rest of the group should have been informed of the encounter regardless. Everyone should have been allowed to be prepared for that.

That's another mark against Jane, but also against Clementine.

  • I'm usually pretty quick to rant about Kenny's massive hypocrisy, but in this case I actually didn't get judgement vibes from that line, like Luke's response clearly was. Kenny sounded more surprised than anything, imo. It's entirely possible he'll blame us for it later in light of the shoot-out though, and then I'll be happy to rant some more about his hypocrisy.

  • Okay, here's another test.

Get (someone) pregnant. Wait 8 or 9 years. Don't feed your child for a week and then play the episode. :)

I know, waiting for the owner of the car to return would be the most logical solution, but Telltale didn't add that choice.
Besides, meeting new peope doesn't seem to be very healthy either in the apocalypse.

  • As much as I like to point out Kenny's flaws, come on now.

Taking stuff from a seemingly abandoned station wagon =/= Stealking a kid's bag of meds at gunpoint.

  • Kenny just found it hard to beleive Clementine , a little girl, robbed a man

  • Just like the Russians did. Oh Arvo, your lot in life is a hard one.

  • Well yeah I agree it's not like they could've given the gun back after he pointed it and Jane took it out of his hands, but I'm just trying to say why he says Jane and Clem robbed him even if they didn't take anything from him.... that is unless he was up to something else.

Jane's probably been alone so long she probably didn't even think to tell the others about it and Clem's still just a kid and probably more nervous on trying to focus on what to do about Rebbecca. I can see why it slipped her mind.

  • so take the keys and wait in hiding, in post apocalypse world you don't sit down and wait like a lamb waiting to be killed. as for the morality thing, a few hours won't matter much. if you think just because you are looking out for a kid morality goes out the window, parents would kill for better shoes for their kids. when your kid is watching you and you feel strong enough about doing what is right when you haven't eaten for a week, then it would be harder for you to take from the station wagon, not easier (and keep in mind you don't have to tell her not to take from the wagon, you can hold out and let her make her own decision).

i fully understand that it would be easy to start thinking about survival when you are on the ropes, but the presence of a kid only reinforces your reasoning (doing what it takes / doing what is right).
