To the haters and the apologists.
So it seems like there’s a huge conflict in the forums between people who hate Episode 4 and love Episode 4. First of all, remember that your opinion on a video game isn’t reason to be an asshole and insult other people’s opinions. This is just my two cents.
To those of you who disliked Amid The Ruins, and Season Two as a whole, you have valid reasons for your dislike. There are definitely flaws with this season, but I thought the point of criticism is to help the creators improve their future works or something. There’s a difference between incessant whining and valid criticisms. There's a difference between "Oh, season two is awful, what a waste of money! I hate you Telltale!" and "Oh, the characterization and general writing this season hasn't been the best. It's a shame because Telltale could have done much better than this."
And to those making a big show of boycotting games, please calm down. You hated the episode, and you’re turned off from buying future installments of the game, and that’s fine. It's your money and time after all. What’s not fine is insulting or getting into fights with people who have a different opinion and don’t hate the episode like you do.
And to the apologists. There are problems with Season Two. It’s fine if you like the season, I personally have enjoyed it so far as well. But a lot of the complaints that you, ironically, are complaining about are valid. There’s a reason you see the same complaint so many times; many of them are not being addressed or fixed. If the point of episodic games is to consider player feedback, you’d think that Telltale would, y’know, actually take these complaints into account and try to fix them. The fact that Nick was irrelevant even after In Harm’s Way, the fact that the characterization has been inconsistent, the fact that these valid issues have not been dealt with is why there’s so much negativity. Please try to understand why the forum feels this way instead of brushing people off as "whiners" and complaining about how people don’t like the episode as much as you.
I’ve seen some people defend these flaws by saying “art is subjective, I liked it, stop complaining”. But there is, in fact, such a thing as objectively bad writing and design. And Amid The Ruins did have a good deal of both. Ignoring that or acting like that isn’t a big issue is not a productive way to think. Besides, it’s incredibly hypocritical to go on about how enjoyment of the game is subjective, and then complain about people who didn’t like the episode.
Now, to the people who disliked the episode, yet remained civil and offered valid or constructive criticisms, good on you. To the people who liked the episode, yet accepted that there were flaws and accepted that people do have reason to dislike it, good on you as well.

Why are there so many RANT THREADS JESUS
As said before I have no issue with the complaints.
The main issue is the huge amount of threads on things like how Nick had a bad death. And all these threads pretty much say the exact same thing, it makes it difficult to those who are asking a question or need help on the forums and there thread will get pushed down and sometimes never answered because of all these threads. Just use the threads that already are complaining about Nicks death or etc. instead of making new ones.
IKR? These were all good and well yesterday and a few hours before, but now... It's fucking annoying to see them all.
I'm mostly seeing hate on people who dislike the episode.
Because when you feel negative about something you're more likely to say why you are feeling negative. Most players like episode 4, but those who don't sure have made lots of threads.
