I hate to say it but the telltale community has gone downhill ever since walking dead got popular

edited July 2014 in The Walking Dead

I Remember going on this board between 2010 and 2012 and it was a completely different place

the community always had something interesting to talk about and best of all you couldn't get down voted by people for giving your opinion on something. but than the walking dead got big and all that slowly started to change because in a few short months the long time community members who were big fans of sam and max stopped coming and they ended up getting replaced by a flood of walking dead fanboys.

when the old school fans left i never would have imagined they were taking with the them the thing I originally like about this community in the first place "interesting discussions about video games"

now this board is the walking dead game rant or complain community lol

You joined may 14 2014, dude

Edit: or if you just hanged here but weren't a member..

This place started to go downhill after episode 2 of the walking dead season 2, on my opinion. And who cares about the dislikes, they don't show up to your profile so they don't matter.

  • i actually joined a lot earlier but i had forgotten my password to my old account

so i started the new one may 14 2014

  • the fact that so many people disliked him proves it

  • I only joined in 2013 (This is a new account)

  • It depends on how you see it, I don't really see why it's so bad that fans of Telltale's successful games flood threads about those particular games...

  • I've been around (obviously not with an account all the time) since the forums basically started, and I'm so glad someone else agrees with me. Most people on this forum are either whining and bitching, giving away leaks, or there is the 1% of people who actually post nice or interesting stuff. You didn't like a characters death? Get over it, it's The Walking Dead. They're making a game you don't want? Who cares, and who made you CEO of the fucking company? It upsets me when I see people talking of BOYCOTTING TellTale, and I honestly think TellTale are doing a fantastic job at the moment. I just hope they don't listen to their fanbase for advice on their games, and listen to themselves.

  • ive been around a long time too,my comments are not always right, sometimes they are,if someone feels strongly to boycott..so be it,it's up to the individual, don't let anyone here tell you how to enjoy how you play the Walking Dead or have a bond with your favourite character.

He liked it before it was cool so he's automatically better. #hipsterswag

I will note though that there's a reason most forums disable the dislike function and just keep the like function. Disliking someone's post is a great way to keep a group largely homogenous, it stifles different opinions and PoV and forms big cliques. Like the asinine Kenny vs Luke thing. The forum's layout could also use some work. It doesn't currently really support big conversation style posts and the only thing to really look at is the dis/like buttons.
