Actually no.The twitter will show a popup message saying "1 New Tweet" (Or in some cases "10 New Tweets") But yeah breaking the f5 key is more recommended than waiting for this message to pop up (I've already prepared a spare F5 key haha)
To be honest if they announce a Season 3, I don't want them to talk ANYTHING about it, because it would spoil if the continue Clementine's story or not, probably who lives and dies at the end of Episode 4.. I'd prefer some DLC news or something, but that's about it.

Different scenarios, back then we knew nothing about where the game was headed, we didn't know the game was Clementine's story all along. Right now it's a little different because saying "Yeah you'll play as Clem in Season 3" will spoil things about episode 5, but those things are already pretty obvious.

I mean, Clementine4Life and all, and I've completely loved the whole story of Clem, Lee, and mah brah Kenny, but how long they gonna continue this for? The whole story of Clem meeting people, them dying, and etc.? I might like a Season 3 with a whole new story board, new characters, place, everything, with references to S1 and S2. I dunno, I know whatever TellTale do though will be great.

They wouldn't spoil it, they announced season 2 when starved for help was the latest episode out, and Lee's death was a surprise to us.
