Rate Episode 4 ** Scale of 1-10 **

9 / 10 for me.

Why?

  1. Sometimes the game feels predictable. It follows some overlying themes from the show, that I watch religiously. I had a hint Rebecca would die shortly after child birth much like Lory. Also, when Clementine was in the museum and was getting the water, the second I saw the small slit I knew there was a zombie on the other side. HOWEVER, this episode really surprised me at times. The biggest being Sarahs death. But other small parts as well. Was shocked at Nicks death, and also at Lukes thinking.

  2. It was realistic. I make this argument a lot but to shortly sum it up: I like the Walking Dead, and I believe it is different from other zombie games, because of the realism. Obviously, a zombie apocalypse isn't currently happening nor am I placing any bets on it, but for a setting in the zombie apocalypse it is a realistic game. Shocking deaths, and even the Luke and Jane part were all really life like.

  3. The ending. It seemed like we were outmatched with gun power. Hopefully, the bad guy aim takes hold as seen in this family guy clip:

  4. Length was solid I thought. Not too many HUB areas/ interaction but I am ok with that as long as the story is amazing which it was this episode.

All in all, it was my favorite episode yet of the walking dead series. I know I complain a lot about Telltale (which is ALL completely warranted giving there lack of PR and communication and long delays) but they do tell a great story. I was on the edge of my seat the whole episode and it did not disappoint. I know it was good because at the end of the episode I was actually angry at the characters they killed.

    9.

Loved it. would have given it a 10 but they way they sent off Nick was pathetic.

    6.5.

It wasn't bad - but the way choices amounted to absolutely nothing, and how some character's fates were handled...I can't give it a higher score than that.

  • Yea, I agree. I at first thought it wasn't him, but the bullet wound in his shoulder actually confirmed it for me. Cheap way to die and Telltale could have done better there BUT still was surprised at finding his body.

  • I also give it a 9.5/10. Only reason it's not a 10/10 is because of how nicks death was handled.

  • 9

It could've very easily been a 10 if not for how Sarah was handled. Other than that..best episode of the season so far.

9/10 Nick's death was pathetic but for all we know the VA wanted out.

The episode was an excellent character study though and a great follow-up to the previous episode, which was no easy feat.

Wow, I did not know that.

EDIT: Damn, I am going blind. Read the phrasing wrong.

  • I was just speculating. Usually in these type of cases though, that's the case.

well now that i'm less angry and look back.. i'd give the episode a 6.5-7/10.

  • What didn't you like about it? In my opinion, its hard to give this anything less than an 8. Unless you were THAT upset over lack of interaction scenes.

  • 9/10. It was a pretty damn good episode.

    I'd give it a 9, unlike some people, I don't nitpick.

  • 8.5- 9 plenty of action and intense moments dunno why people complain about it

  • I honestly think a lot of people confuse how good the episode was with how they wanted the episode to end. Im hearing a lot of complaints about Nicks and Sarahs deaths, and while they could have been handled better, those deaths (too me) made the episode that better.

  • 8/10 for gameplay
    3/10 for story

  • It would be an 8 for me and ranking the episodes this season so far (one being best, four being worst)
    1. A House Divided
    2. In Harms Way
    3. Amid the Ruins
    4. All that Remains

  • 8, I think. It was fairly good and with an ok length. I'm still pissed about not being able to interact more with the other characters, but at least we got to spend time with people other than Kenny and Luke finally :P I still hate how Nick died though but whatever.
