Why can't Clem be the second main character again? Season 1 worked better because we had a grown up dude whom we played as so everything kinda made sense (read my opinion above).
Clem will obviously make it to Season 3. If we play as her, could be an interesting decision but ultimately I say Telltale will stick with her as the playable character and her storyline.
I don't it hate it and im not doing lil kid shit. I wouldn't buy it if there were no clem. but like I said before maybe two protagonist, well one more along with clem. we can play them at certain points of the story. it would be split. I would be very difficult but imagine the decisions the we take with one could potentially affect the other or both???
We all love clementine, so no need to get pissed if some people-including me- don't want her to be the protagonist anymore.
If she is the… more protagonist in season 3, I would still buy it, though. There's some problems with Clem being the protagonist. She is only 11 but people ask her to do big choises, talk to her like she was an adult too ( like the rebecca scene in episode 4, she acted like Clem was her mother or something) and she is always so important to everyone for some reason. She has to do everything, other characters aske her to do their dirty job and if someone is in trouble (Kenny scene: Carlos asks Clem to help him hold Sarita, even when there's Luke, Nick (determiant), Mike and Jane) they ask her to help them.
So that's why I want a new adult protagonist for season 3. Please, don't hate me over my opinion
I would love to have Clementine as the protagonist for season 3, if they decided to have someone else as the protagonist i would want Clem with me throughout the whole game.
I do somewhat agree with you, at least with respect to some ways Clem has been treated this season. I know episode 5 is yet to be released, so this comment may be moot after that, but I really hope TTG gives even more of a window into Clem's mental state.
So, so much has happened to her, and I know she's a badass and is being treated as such. Still, can't help thinking about what Katjaa said about Clementine at the train, "that little girl is a puzzle." Might be just me, but I still think that about her, and not always in a good way. I could readily get behind Clem as the protagonist for S3, but she does have so much potential that's barely been touched on this season.
Like I said, maybe episode 5 will rectify some of this and delve more into Clem's psyche. The achievement pictures give me some cause to hope for this, but I guess I'll see.
That's why I really hope Rebecca's baby survives; if he does and Clem is the protagonist for S3, it could go a long way to offering what I feel has been sorely lacking from S2: a dynamic and developing relationship between two characters. S1 was Lee and Clem, but none of the group this season has truly done that for me. Hopefully, this will change in S3.
A lot of people are gonna disagree with me, so I'll brace myself for the onslaught of downvotes as I say this:
I don't think Clementine i… mores that interesting of a character. I feel like Telltale hasn't done much with her, and at the same time, I feel like it's too late to do much with the character. I wouldn't mind starting fresh with a new group if they were to make a third season.
EDIT: Fixed a typo.
I'd like Clem to be the protagonist, but I wouldn't be that upset if she wasn't. I want her to live though, as her dying in episode five would be suck a repeat of last season that it'd finally push me over the edge. I wouldn't get season three if she did. Episode four has already made me become wary of this series, they better not screw this episode up. I don't think they will though, I have faith in them.
I hope we'll get a chance to play as Clementine again in 3rd season. Besides that I think it make sense, you know? Telltale story is about Clementine so I don't see a reason to change a protagonist. Like someone else said she was a second main character in season 1 because Lee was a protagonist but right now I don't see her in this role again.
I think that with season 3 confirmed it pretty much means that Clem will survive in episode 5, I dont think telltale are going to go with a whole new story with all new characters.
A "fan" that plays a game only for a character, and will stop playing that game if that character is no longer in it. It's considered to be a false fan because you aren't truly a fan of TWD if you only play it for Clem, you are a fan of Clem and that's it.
Me on the other hand, I AM a fan of TWD and I WILL continue playing if Clem dies. Not saying I want her to though, she's one of my favorite video game characters.
I really love clem 's story and if she's the protagonist in s3 , i would like it and won't compalin but ...
If you play another protagonist who will try to do the big brother with her or somethin like that i won't complain either .
(my toughts behind what i said here, is just that if we get another character that is old enough to get laid , i wouldn't complain )
XD
Clementine is the face of the franchise and it's her story we've been following since day 1. Playing as her automatically gives more weight … moreto the game and its world because of how much we've gone through with her, and as her, and there just wouldn't be the same impact starting over with some random person.
I do agree with some of the criticisms that more could have been done with Clem's development, doesn't seem like it's quite been given the time it should have this season, but I also agree her continuing on as protagonist is the perfect opportunity to truly have who we've made her to be count. I definitely wouldn't mind them aging her up to at least teenage years either, to make us less helpless, allow our word more weight, and even have her be a viable leader in her own right. All in all, Clem is too integral to the world of TWD and I can't let her go, and I assume most people probably feel the same.
The problem is that if there is a new protagonist, there is no way that Clem can be one of the main character, because players built her personality and it would be too difficult for Telltales to have different dialogue choices depending on how you played Clem and it wouldn't be cool for us to have a generic Clem. And, let's be honest here, a LOT of us want Clem as the main character in S3, imagine if she is in S3 but is no playable; imagine the wrath of the players.
So in my opinion, it will be either a fresh start with new characters and no Clem or a new season with Clem as the main character.

Well, I didn't see any reason to start from the beginning of the outbreak so I guess we'll play as Clementine. Like I said a few times earlier I don't think like that because it's my favourite character but because it makes more sense and like YOU said it'd be difficult for Telltale to create her dialogues with different playthrough of each players.

By the way, I didn't dislike you.
If S3 features Clem as the main character again, I would like a teenager Clem, I think the comic allows Telltales to have a 14-15 years old Clem (correct me if I'm wrong). And the gap between S2 and S3 would be because she reached Wellington and it's finally a good community. But S3 starts when something is threatening Wellington's peace or something like that.
Or, I would also be okay with a completely fresh start with new characters.
If we have a fresh start, it won't necessarily be at the beggining of the outbreak, we can also begin with new survivors
But I think it would make much more sense to have a S3 as teenager Clem, I mean Clementine IS Telltales' The Walking Dead, right? If she isn't in S3, it would be like a Lara Croft without Lara Croft...

Yeah... I personally think that going to Wellington is a very VERY bad idea. I mean, if everyone is heading towards it, there will be tons of people and tons of people=tons of problems and walkers. Also even if the cold really slows walkers down, it's also a threat for humans. And, I don't think there could be enough food in winter to feed all the survivors.
The real surprise for me would be if Wellington is actually safe and peacefull.

I don't care who the protagonist is. In fact, I would like to have Clem go missing or something, to make it obvious that she isn't protected by plot armor.
This whole series has basically been Clem's story. She has been with us from the start of the apocalypse and we have watched her grow, helped her grow and survive. She's basically our protege who we guide through this horrid world. I'd find it a pretty freaking weird design choice to ditch Clementine in S3. It would... break the story progression.
Yes, there are some problems with playing as her in S2, like the funny way the adults treat her and how she sometimes doesn't even feel like a kid. I was actually very happy when I heard Mike saying: "But she's just a kid." Thank you Mike. Sometimes I think nobody else sees her as one. I know the environment would force one to grow up more quickly so I'm not surprised Clem is capable and all but I just sometimes don't find her dialogue and actions that realistic when considering her age. I actually do love to see the ZA from a POV of a very young girl since it's something different and fascinating but it do brings some challenges to how it should be written. We, as the player, would feel unimportant/bored if they didn't allow us do all the important stuff but at the same time, from a narrative point it feels kind of weird.
Anyways, I do want them to continue Clem's story. There's so much potential.
BS! Clementine is the reason why season 2 isn't as good as first one. Wee girl fightning zombie is absurd. Wouldn't stand a chance. Clem should appear in 3rd season but not as protagonist.
I have to admit in ep 2 and 3 I really felt clem wasnt working as the protagonist. Everything she did felt like something youd ask an adult to do, I still liked her however preffered it when she was her own person.
Ep 4 really changed that, she was integral however it was believable how they were acting to a child, plus they cant really change it now
That would be the best dynamic for Season 3! Clementine protecting the (yet to be named) baby, and creating an emotional bond with him. I only wish that Season 3 has better choices than Season 2 has so far!

What you going to do if she's not? Kill Telltale?
They're not going to play it, but they still play it.
I'll play it, but wont be expecting my season 2 choices come to play.

I just don't want season one and two to be useless, so Clem needs to continue on.

No Clem, No Walking Dead, No Walking Dead, No Life
Clem has so much more potential!
Season 3 could start off with Clem as a teenager.
We can see how well adapted she's become to the environment.
We will pick the type of person she becomes through our choices throughout season 2.
New antagonists for Clem to face
Probably a whole set of new characters for Clem to interact with.
I would love to have Clementine as the protagonist for season 3, if they decided to have someone else as the protagonist i would want Clem with me throughout the whole game.

We have the same gravatar, man!
what's that supposed to mean

As long as she's an adult this time around. That's just me though.
I'd prefer to have Clem return as the protagonist, but not to the point that I'd refuse to buy it if it were someone else.
Clem as the protagonist would be too repetitive. But it's gonna happen whether i like it or not. These fans go fucking apeshit for Clementine.
To me, Jane's conversation at the end of 204, when Jane leaves, it was setting up something.
I realize now Jane was like the Chuck of the season. She gave Clem advice like Chuck did Lee. But she's not as cool as my Hobro chuck.
Chuck's advice set up Lee's death, and now Jane's advice is setting up the whole groups death leaving Clem alone in S3.
Clem & Kenny are the only ones that will make past Seasons matter, therefore Clementine or Kenny should be in Season 3.

You know everyone says about Wellington but did anyone thought about a possibility that Wellington could be a lie or doesn't exsist anymore?

FEGELEIN!
