This announcement was poorly done. This means they're isn't going to be a major event at the end, if they're just gonna up and announce the third season before the second season is even finished.
They announce season 2 shortly after the release of episode 2 of season 1 and that had a good but sad ending, hopefully they have a good ending for season 2.

You seem to be the only mod that actually feels like a regular user. The rest give you "I'm a moderator, i'm grouchy rawr rawr" type of feeling. "I'm gonna ban you if you don't stop rawr rawr!" But not you. You have my ultimate respect.
Don't understand the logic here. The only thing it means is that there's gonna be a Season 3, which was kind of obvious anyway (cause yeah, you don't need to look further than awesome critics+public success+money=other season, that's how it works.), and that Clem is probably not gonna die at the end of season 2.
So what? There's still a thousand ways to make a good ending for season 2, and make something big happens. I mean, god man, remember season 1 ending? TTG achieved to hype us with two shadowy figures on a hill and Clementine lookign at them. Of course they can do something good!

They will but when people play a game like this they don’t want to hear its continuing before the final part, because the impact of the ending no matter how good can lose the impact.
They announce season 2 shortly after the release of episode 2 of season 1 and that had a good but sad ending, hopefully they have a good ending for season 2.
At the end of the game when people have played the full game, they will be in an emotional state and will long for the next installment. When Season 1 ended in Nov 2012, we didn't get any information until we got the 400 days announcement + A little of Season 2 around the June with its release in July 2013. Season 2 was later released Dec 2013 and a teaser released in Aug.
Letting people know there isn't something after the season reduces any power the ending will give because any sort of struggle or sorrow, or potential heartbreak in S5 is replaced with "they're season !3 " instead of will "they're be a season 3? :S"
But alas, its just the way I see it, and I've most likely not be able to articulate what I mean for the above. Sorry if I haven't.

Ooooh alright! I got it more like on the script itself, not the impact it could have. I see what you mean now! I guess so. I personally don't agree with this, cause even when season 1 was done I knew it would have a second one, and I thought it was pretty obvious that we would get a season 3 since the game is a success and all, plus the fact that it's the case with all the tv shows now (seasons being announced before the end of the previous one).
But I totally understand that some people might find it disturbing. What disturbs me most is to announce a season 3 ubt not even talking about episode 5, even to reassure the fans.

I just went on tumblr, turns out Telltale have already released two very early beta screencaps of season 3! o_o they're kinda 'Work In Progress' things but they look really good, but shocking.
Warning: Do not click below if you've yet to play Amid the Ruins, are pregnant, have heart problems or find even a terrible knock knock joke amusing.
Its a bit of a weird one, as you mention they are going for a more tv series approach; announce the next season to keep fans following this story. I can see both sides to the argument but I think the finale is an important part of a story and sometimes announcing the obvious (next season) is not worth it.
Yeah that sort of worries me as well; announce Season 3 but no teaser or mention of Episode 5 =/

Well... they mentioned episode 5 only by saying "it's coming very very soon". And don't expect teaser or trailer or anything because episode 4 was released a few days ago, episode 5 wasn't even classified yet so it's still a long road ahead of us.

At 14:37 in the comic con video they finally fixed the shed scene when Luke asks if she's hungry. I might have to check it ingame to see if they fixed it there as well.
Sorry for late reply, I use an ipad so is hard to keep track of the threads i comment xD so basically we can have a 2 years time skip, but a 2 years time skip is a lot :l maybe 1 would be fine, or a fe months.

Same. I'm super excited to TWD S3 but at the same time am disappointed that Wolf has not been getting anything.
So that leaves Kenny (if he survives ep 5) or Christa (if she's alive at all). Let's not kid ourselves tho, were playing as Clem.
Video of panel now available.

а, верно че ти беше българин...
It's pretty enjoyable to watch.
Nice! I hope they learn from their mistakes this season and make a fantastic season 3 like season 1.

I was laughing all the time when Kevin Burner was talking about episode 5 and then announce season 3. It was epic and pretty funny too.

HELL YEAH! Please get Clem through S2 and make her the protagonist of S3.
