What if the cast's vitality mirrored that of Fables?
In the Fables universe, a Fable's vitality is determined by the popularity and details of their origin story. What if the character's in TWDG became stronger the bigger their fanbase grew? Clementine would be immortal. Nick as well. I know this idea would never work in practice and should never be implemented, but what do you all think of this, as nothing more than a "what if"?

I'd think that infamy would count towards a Fable's vitality. I could be wrong as I don't read the comics, but from what I know, any kind of recognition is fair play for increasing a Fable's lifespan/survivability.

Yeah that is a good point, as popularity can be either good or bad...and I don't read the comics either, so I don't know much.
It would spare me the heartbreak of watching Clementine die.

No, it's not really positive or negative popularity, it's just knowledge of the Fable. EVERYONE knows the tale of Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs, so they're pretty tough. They don't have to be liked, just widely known. Georgie is a lesser known rhyme, so he's not very tough, for example.

Power being proportional to how well known a Fable in the mundy world is just speculation. Some Fables don't even buy it.

Anyway, if applied to the TWD characters, a number of them may be hardier vs gunshots and stuff, but I doubt it gives them immunity to the zombie plague, especially if it's supernatural. Would they create a more powerful kind of zombie? If they are immune, does that mean we would have Carlos or Sarah's non-stop screams of pain and terror when they get swarmed and torn apart by walkers but they just can't die/turn? "DADDY! THEY ARE EATING ME ALIVE DADDY, BUT I KEEP REGENERATING! IT'S BEEN 3 HOURS AND OUR SCREAMING HAS BEEN ATTRACTING EVEN MORE OF THEM, DADDY! EVERYONE RAN OUT OF BULLETS A LONG TIME AGO AN CAN'T HELP US, DADDY!"
