So It's Settled...

So, I just recently looked at the achievements for episode 5 of Season 2. The first achievement's description states "Made it out alive". This means we know that Clem survived the shootout. I just have a suspicion that everyone else will die, leaving Clem the only survivor. Due to the title "Blood and Iron", it kind of supports this. I really don't want Clem to be alone, because I just have a vision in my head of Clem in pain (possible getting shot) trecking through the unbearable cold, all alone. This theory leads me to believe this episode will be very intense for all of us.

  • I have a feeling one character will survive, due to "Kindly Stop For Me", and the Good King Wencheslas foreshadowing.

  • I don't think everyone will die. I think Clem will live and Kenny will definitely live and the kindly stop for me is Kenny slowly dying from an injury possibly a bullet wound.

  • Well, Clem was obviously going to survive anyway. If she died, who would we play as in Episode 5?

  • I have a feeling Clem, Luke, and Kenny will survive the shootout. There needs to be a resolution to that storyline and conflict.

Either Bonnie or Mike will die in the very beginning. Someone needs to die in order for it to be realistic. There's no way they can go up against the Russians and have no one get mortally wounded. I know they're all great characters, but they're not invincible.

  • I think Mike will be the one dying sadly :/ I could see Bonnie surviving I give her 50/50 chance. I could even see a determinant choice where you have to save one or the other.

  • I actually think it would be more shocking if Luke died. They build him up to be this brotherly figure to Clem and then take him out just like that.

  • Clem as Walker

Of course black guy will die, that's given here. Only T Dog made it to season 3.

But seriously, I kinda like this dark idea of Clem being alone. Incedible luck (you dont focus aim for kid when you have bunch of adults around) and realism of the situation is what makes me think that adults will kill themselves, maybe with Arvo fataly wounded. And also Kenny fataly wounded because character like Kenny cannot die in split second, that's too harsh I think. Or maybe he can and Clem would have one last "talk" with him, talking to a dead body as a final GB.

I dont know, but guys this scene is already probably decided and worked on.

In the ski lodge Sarita tells you the whole story of Good King Wenceslas, and lots of fans thoinks its foreshawdoing something.

    Google it :)

Also, it's Wenceslas, not 'wench'eslas! hahahaha

Sound like Kenny will survive, and Clem will follow him.

  • Kenny goes crazy, and wears her head as his hat. In a way you could still play her

I think the deaths are too numerous and too soon for them to be really meaningful. Do people really care about Luke? and we see Kenny run through an accelerated grief process just to rid us of Sarita. I know compromises have to be made but after Kenny's grief from the first series it seemed a little too contrived.

Also, marching out into Zombies is one thing but into gunfire also? It just seems a little nonsensical to me, as did the idea that a pregnant woman would seek to leave a secure environment in favour of what they were walking into.

One major character death at the end of each series? So is it Kenny this time around? I'd be disappointed if that was the case. I think they're setting him up as a carer for the child and a potentially major character, so I'd say he'd make it to season three (even if just for the sense of cohesion).

I'm hoping Jane turned back and was responsible for at least a couple of the shots heard.

Season three: Clem, Kenny, Jane and the Baby,

Hopefully not Luke (or if so, just to set him up as a shock character death). He wasn't distinct enough from Nick (and seemed to swap outlooks/identities with him at first contact) for me to really to see him as anything more than a secondary character. I think they should have had one or the other, Nick or Luke, not both. The best way to be rid of Nick, who I personally think is a liability rather than an asset, is to have him die in the cliff-hanger fire-fight. He's not a big enough character to die at the climax and had too muddled an introduction and characterisation to be a strong enough character to carry through to the third series. If they carry anyone through I think it should be Jane.

  • Yeah because on the wiki of the good king wenceslas it says "During the journey, his page is about to give up the struggle against the cold weather, but is enabled to continue by following the king's footprints, step for step, through the deep snow.". To me this sounds like Kenny is the Page about to give up but Clem is the king keeping him moving on

  • T-Dog was not a dick lol, for any of the screentime he got (which was barely anything) he was a nice guy.

    That's true. However, T-Dog was a dick

  • I don't think it'll be just Clem and the baby surviving that on their own. They've been setting up the Kenny vs Luke stuff since Episode 2, so they'll make it out safetly too because that stuff clearly has to go down, so it's more than likely one or both of them could be injured. I don't see Mike surviving, and Bonnie might be in the same boat too depending if they decide to end her character development there or not.

It's more of a wait and see deal I guess, but I sure don't see everyone walking away from that shootout fine and peachy. I wouldn't be surprised if Mike and Bonnie did in fact get killed off so the stuff with Kenny and Luke gets worse because there not being any other adults to tell them to break it up.

    I just hope Clem's okay T_T

  • Does Bonnie go with Tavia regardless of the outcome of 400 days?

To carry a character who might not otherwise be there through two series seems like a lot of work.

Having said that Bonnie is one of my favourite characters.

Surely they can't kill off Mike, he's been in it so little he's barely a character (although maybe they'd have to kill him off in the cliffhanger fire-fight to make things seem more random than they're beginning to feel.

  • Personally, I believe Clementine ( obviously ) Kenny and the baby will live through it. As for the others, perhaps Luke will survive but with a fatal wound. Others will be brown bread.

  • Maybe everyone will be dead except for Clementine, Rebecca's baby, Kenny, and Luke. The pizza or Ice cream choice will happen when we see that Kenny and Luke are alive, but very badly wounded. Clementine will have to decide who she'll carry with her to Wellington. And also, because of Jane's advice, we'll have a third option of bypassing them entirely and leaving alone with only Rebecca's baby.

  • Clenny will survive!

  • Actually, for those who don't know, Blood and Iron was a famous phrase used by Otto von Bismarck back in the 1800's about the unification of Germany, I actually forgot what it exactly meant, but maybe that has something to do with it.

Only person I see dying is Bonnie. Mike will live because he will be very emotional at the death of Bonnie as they seemed to be getting close. I think Luke will be badly wounded. He's already hurt bad. You will be given the choice of leaving him behind (What Kenny will want), or helping him (What Mike will want) which will be a spoiler that he will die later anyways. Luke fighting for leadership position will be replaced by Mike vs Kenny. We will see a much more vocal Mike. He won't be a background person anymore.

  • I think we will only lose either Mike or Bonnie, or maybe even both of them. But I have a feeling Arvo will join us, because I don't think he is a bad guy and may be the key to them surviving the Russians.
