You can avoid Kenny berating Clementine

First, don't chop Sarita's arm.

Second, when you go talk to him at the statue, just keep quiet and don't say anything. [Select all silence options]
This is to avoid the horrible "You think you can just get everyone killed just because you're a kid line".

Lastly, in the tent select all silence options and Kenny will apologize.

  • No problem :)

  • Then does he show you his eye? I really thought in the preview for season 4 Kenny says to Clem "Do i still look pretty?" or something and shows her the badly injured eye..

  • very true! i did this and all he says is like "please leave us alone, then "I'll say it again leave us alone. he actually is totally cool about it really

  • I wish there was an option to talk about the trouble's Clem has been through without upsetting Kenny.

(Clem)"I had to shoot Lee! So don't be an asshole and think you're the only one whose lost."

    (Kenny)"I'm tired of this bullshit."

    Something like that I believe

  • I thought it was kind of funny how Kenny yelled at me for decapitating Sarita when she was about to turn, but when he did it to Lily's dad, it was ok.

  • I didn't chop off Sarita's hand. What I'm looking for is a series of dialogue options that results in Clem telling Kenny to essentially go eff himself. Can this happen if you do chop off the hand?

  • To get him to show you the eye, pick "It might be infected" in the tent.

  • Yeah. Don't remember the options you need to pick, but if you chop Sarita's arm Clem can get quite mad at Kenny.

  • Sir you are a genius

  • Cool. It sucks that I'd have to cause a nice lady more pain, but I'm tempted.

  • Thanks xD

  • Sarita is a rather small woman that could easily be overpowered by Kenny, Mike, Jane, or Bonnie. Larry was a 300 (400?) pound gorilla that would have taken all of Kenny, Lee, and Lily to overpower, and even then a strategy would have to be formed and even then, they'd probably lose one.

But I see your point. Thats the power of emotions for you.

  • but you see where the difference right???Kenny saw at as our fault (clem's). he saw it that way cuz we cut her fucking hand off and she yelled and the walkers got her because of that. where fucking larry just died haha so it was really no ones fault it was larry own fault for being a hot head and fucked his own heart. so Kenny saw it different. larry just died. sarita was killed. to his logic.

  • Wrong! Silence is the only option

Thanks for the tip. Though I kind of like how he yelled at her, it's definitely setting up for a good apology in the next episode. That's kind like how my Lee and Kenny relationship played out in Season 1 and I think it's perfect. Kenny can be very rough to you but deep down there's no one more loyal at this point.

Besides I really have to chop Sarita's hand, no I simply cannot resist... That scene is so powerful and if you made Lee chop his hand off in Season 1 this feels like the only real choice to Clementine. At least that's how I see it.

  • That's exactly what I did, if I was in that situation I would be silent, no way I would talk back to Kenny while he's pissed.

  • Yeah, even if we talk gently and nicely to Kenny, it would just enrage it more. Looks like the silent option is the best with Kenny.

  • Yeah I chose that in my first play through. I decided to say that because I thought Kenny was being selfish and acting as if he was the only one who had lost someone. I think that got through to him in the end.

I wish there was an option to talk about the trouble's Clem has been through without upsetting Kenny. (Clem)"I had to shoot Lee! So don't

  • Walkers don't stand up all that effectively, especially not from their backs, and especially not when they weigh 300 pounds. Kenny could have dropped the saltlick on his head after he turned if that had been the case. He probably just wanted an excuse to kill Larry and piss off Lilly.

  • Then his logic conveniently absolves him of responsibility for his actions, while pointing the finger at others as per usual.

It would be darkly hilarious if Clem could say Sarita was already dead that moment she got bit. I just wanted her to draw more walker attention on herself so the rest of us escape more easily. Like that time you wanted to leave that girl to get torn to shreds just so you and Lee could spend more time scavenging. It was for the good of the group, Kenny! I learned from you!

  • Kenny still said sorry to me, I just stayed silent for the second part of the conversation at Parker's Run.

You can tell that Sarita wanted to talk to Clementine, maybe tell her it wasn't her fault.

  • Probably because Kenny is like most human beings. He's willing to kill a stranger to protect himself, and the ones he loves. Not so willing to kill someone he loves. It might be a game but his responses are probably the most realistic of the people in the game.

  • When I chopped off her hand I stayed silent when he was mad outside of the tent. Inside the tent I stayed silent until I had the option to say "You help me all the time". His response "I appreciate you saying that" and it says "Kenny will remember that".
