A question for Telltale: What was the original story of Episode 4? [No info yet]
The EP4 select picture is intriguing and must've made all players curious since Season 2 first came out.
As most know by now, the EP4 select picture did not reflect what actually happened in the episode. Clementine did not lose her hat or put on any bloody face-paint and Eddie never did make an appearance.
Hopefully, this question isn't digging into any classified info, but if you could please answer this, Telltale, I'm sure many would be grateful.

Perhaps it was meant to be symbolic. I have a feeling Eddie was supposed to originally be robbed of medical supplies with a different group (perhaps Steves or something). The surrounding characters (such as Kenny, Doug, Carley, etc.) were meant to symbolise the fact that 'Season One' is happening again.
People around Clementine whom she liked are dying (Nick, Sarah, Rebecca, Sarita, etc.) just like the people before (Carley, Doug, Mark, Ben, etc.). Clementine wiping blood on her face could symbolise she feels at fault for these deaths, their "blood is on her hands".
But since people figured out it was Eddie, they went back and changed the group yet still kept the symbolis aspects.
I guess they changed a lot of stuff since the release.
Rebecca was prolly supposed to give birth in episode 3.

There was gonna be a Doug/Carly situation, with Sarah and Jane. I was wrong, maybe it's with another character in episode 5?
Whoever goes with you, to wellington perhaps, will be determinant like the 400 days characters?
That sounds like it could be the original story. Another thing to note is how the music for the EP4 select menu changed too. It used to sound very dark and creepy. Maybe Clementine was going to have a radical change of personalty too?

I think the pictures for all the episodes from season 1 to 2 and TWAU are usually semi accurate of what happens in the episode. As you can tell they are made before the episode is written in detail. The illustrator probably was given a general idea of how the plot would go and drew a picture that would best describe the episode. In this case it was Clem with blood on her hands surrounded by dark figures, interpret that with what you will, but it will never be fully accurate to the episodes story as it was made before the episode was properly written. For instance Clem receives a jacket to wear in episode 3, I'm sure this detail was added in when writing the episode not when the illustrator only knew the general plot hence Clem wearing her starting clothes in that pic.
But character models of a hatless and face-painted Clementine exist, though. So a story had to of been prepared, right?
The bloody face paint could also be the scene when they were walking through the herd and were covering themselves in zombie blood, but either way is plausible.
Face it, we don't know what the original plot before the drastic script change for TWAU is, so they probably won't tell us about this either. We will never know.
I thought the whole Doug/Carley thing was the part where Lee was talking to Kenny when Kenny is upset that he left Shawn to die. Lee says "We did what we could, bad things happen. We didn't make a choice that killed Shawn." I connected that with Sarah.

Actually, if I'm not wrong, Troy's model was supposed to be Carver's but, when they got Carver's VA, they decided to change it so it would fit the voice better. Or at least that's what I've heard.
i wonder was it changed because of the leak? or just being too dark?

They do this ALL the time. I mean ffs they built up Carver just to wrap it up instantanously. We kept being told "omg carver place es so baaaaad" despite never actually seeing that.
The end every episode with a plan for the next, then just scrap it to shoehorn in a different one.

No, Carver's model was the same, just skinnier. Someone found and posted his original model but I don't remember where...
Yeah, a lot are curious. Other people somehow went through the game's files and found the models. I just saw them from Youtube videos and pictures on Google images.

Well I remember seeing data of scrapped content for Season 1, so maybe after this one ends, we'll see its scrapped content too.
PS: No, I won't tell you how to find the scrapped data. I may get in trouble.
Maybe Eddie was the one we were meant to steal from, but after 400 days, Telltale figured nearly EVERYBODY would give him the medicines because we know him and that he isn't a bad guy. Having an unknown character come in from an unknown group would make it harder to make that decision.
That's the only thing I can think if, unless they'd intended to do more at that trailer park place. Maybe there was supposed to be people there and Sarah was captured?

Most of the cabin group die at carver's camp in episode 3. Rebecca gives birth but dies and so does the baby(there was a game file called rebecca_bloody_towel or something like that). You escape carver's camp at the beginning of episode 4 then find Eddie and he takes you into his group but must perform some sort of initiation ritual or whatever
The models and textures exist because they were right there in the menu slides lol. The menu slides are not pictures they're actually 3D models.
Yeah, Telltale created them for the episode, but they ended up rewriting it and then never using them for some reason...
