I agree with you. I remember in 400 Days every one was blowing it up saying "Where's Clementine, Where's Clementine, Where's Clementine, Where's Clementine, Where's Clementine?" it drove me insane. Just imagine what people would be like if they kill her/end her arc.
Not wanting Clementine to be the protagonist of season 3 =/= hating her. Some people just think her story has run its course and want to pla… morey from a different perspective. I know it's easy to get attached to her, but as previously mentioned, she's not the only character in The Walking Dead.
Besides, I think seeing an even older Clementine would kinda ruin the charm of her character. But that's just me.
Clem as protagonist or new protagonist for Season 3? Honestly I could go either way...I would love to play as Clem again in the next season but I'm not going to freak out if we play as someone new.
I don't mind playing Clem but being her gives such limited range of storyline because she's so young. I miss playing as adult like Lee so you can swear at people when they are being jerks.
Halo: The third game was the best.
Heroes of Might and Magic: The third game was the best.
Gears of War: The third game was the best.
Final Fantasy: The SEVENTH game was the best.
And this is just the start. Consider me to be like Jane. An expert when it comes to sequels and marketing crap. I've seen this sad progression of getting worse and worse happen to so many games.
Some of them are trolls (specially the one with the racist comments), but others just want to go back to playing as an adult. Though I get why they'd rather have a different playable character in S3, specially if he's Clem's new protector, I've really enjoyed playing as Clem and I believe having a child protagonist in a serious game is a big part of what makes this game unique.

If the series is going to follow Clem's growth into a woman, it'd be interesting to see a slightly older Clementine fall in love with a fellow teenager. I'm not sure what perspective would be best for tackling that angle, though.

Eh subjective. They introduced too many EU characters in Gears 3 without explaining them to non readers and some of them were basically just shoved in as cameos. I like Gears EU lots but a game should stand on it's own and be supplemented by EU, not made necessary by reading the EU. The splitting of the four main characters, barely giving anything to Carmine, Sera looking so different and lots of good characters being wasted with no mentions or screen time or was awks ;/ I like it but like TWD S2, game stories are awks if different writers write each story, the style feels different, atmosphere also

I belong to the camp of people opposing Clem as the protagonist for a number of reasons, but hate? Nope. That's a pretty strong word.
That said, when the failure of season 2 ends I really hope that if TTG decides to make a season 3, they let us play as someone else, like... well, any adult. If Clem dies until then, well, that would probably be the first good thing that has happened in season 2.
I haven't seen much Clem hate, at all. As for why it springs up on occasion, there could be a few reasons...
.
* They think that pl… moreaying as Clementine fails to live up to the experience of Season One.
* They are irritated by the inconsistency of storytelling or the lack of direction in the plot.
* They simply enjoy being contrarian and arguing that position because it riles folks up.

Have you played season 2? A time skip isn't going to fix anything, you will have the exact same problems in Season 2. A new protagonist is needed to save us from unemotional clementine.

Here's the thing about Clementine as season three protagonist. Where could her story go without seeming inconsistent and tacky? When season one ended with Clementine on her own, losing everything and seemingly everyone, there was a lot they still could've done with her character. But now? She's (seemingly) reaching the end of her character arc.
Plus, what I'd hate more than anything is for a character as special as Clementine to became TellTale's "cash cow mascot." Appearing in sequel after sequel, becoming another boring "survival badass chick." The reason I'm personally drawn to Clem is she's written to have subtle imperfections. Something anyone can relate to. But she is slowly becoming more hardened and cold, so I'm slowly losing that attachment to her, which is fine. But I think her story should end soon. THAT DOES NOT MEAN DEATH, THERE ARE WAYS TO END STORIES WITHOUT DEATH.

But not for this Clem not deserve the role of protagonist!...
She was with us from the first moment of the game, we protected her, we cried with her... We had a lot of experiences and emotional moments, and i'm sure that she have a lot of potential...
Clem is unique in videogames world, maybe one of most beautiful characters of all time, and i don't want to put it the end now!!
EDIT: And a protagonist does not have to be the "superhero" of the situation, as 99% of the time this happens ... For Clem is unique!

I really like Clemintine but I hope if they make season 3 you are another person because I don't want to be her in anothe season I don't want her to die its just I find her a bit sad and imotionless
I don't hate Clem at all, I like how she's hardened so much from season 1. She's actually one of my favorites, I just don't like playing as her. I still can't wrap my head around why so many adults are relying on her to make difficult decisions or to do the dangerous tasks. As badass as Clem is, she is still an 11 year old girl. I also don't really like how even when you make difficult decisions (like siding with someone over another, lying, stealing etc.) people only get angry at you for a bit, and then they go back to being cool with you. Realistically, that is how it would be, Clem is a kid, so it's hard to stay mad at her. But it also makes the game less fun to play, because it feels like the decisions made don't have a lot of impact on what other characters think of Clem. It will always go back to the way it was before, because of her age. I hope we don't have to play as her again in season 3.
It is a game in seasons ... must stand up with a story based! It's like the TV series, more or less, that is the story of a group, then they enter or die some people is another thing ...
Think about Rick, is the mainly protagonist of TV show/comic, and he won't die, because it is "his story"!
Anyway I do not want to argue for different opinions, because these are only our opinions, and nothing more... XD
I actually think your right because I still like her it's just I got really exited about season two and being Clemintine and I stlill really like her character but I was a bit dissapionted because I feel she is a bit imotionless not like Lee though he was a great character.

I don't know, maybe in season 3 Clem will be grown-up, and therefore more "adult", and maybe we can make choices more "real" ... But i don't want to waste her... She have a lot of potential, and i think that she could be a great character!

Don't bring the TWD television show into this, the writing in that show is absolutely terrible. I stopped watching when they killed Shane off, and Rick went crazy. I think the last episode i watched was when Rick started talking to his dead wife on the phone, i was like. I'm done with this.
I do agree with you though, i don't want Clementine to die either. However i feel leaving her as lead protagonist is a mistake. I also feel like they may kill her off on a few things they said in Episode 4, as possible foreshadowing. Will people be able to handle Clementine dying, it honestly worries me.

i'm worried that if they do kill Clementine off, some fans might get upset and so some not so smart decisions. I feel like i'm a outsider looking in, and some of these Fandoms kind of worry me.
Perhaps you're worry for her age... But maybe in season 3 she will be grown up and more adult, and we then can make choises more "real"...
… more Ahahah, i know, show can't be compared with game, totally different xD
However we must wait and see what TT will do...
Well, we must remember that however it's just a game.
Secondly, i'm that kind of fans, and yes, maybe i will be upset because I am so attached to her, but i think I will not give crazy and i won't play the game anymore, because it's stupid...

If she died in the next episode, Season 2 for me has destroyed any emotional attachment i had for her, i probably would be slight melancholy for a hour, but other than that it wouldn't impact my life. I personally don't want anyone to be killed, its starting to feel like the end of Sopranos, where everyone is dying left and right and you just don't care anymore.
Oh, that kind of fans.... I know what you mean...
Well, we must remember that however it's just a game.

But, you know, it's hard to accept her death

I doubt anyone really hates Clem. I think they are just curious on what it would be like to play as a different protagonist, such as 400 Days group.
But don't worry. TT knows that those guys are in the minority, so they won't kill off Clem. If they do, they kill off half their fanbase as well.

Lol.

If they put a love story for teenagers, i'm not playing it. I refuse another Gone Home, i still have PTSD over that garbage game.

Clementine and Hate are two words that can't go together
A new protagonist does not mean any more Clem, I have no idea where you got that.
You just don't play as her..
I liked Season 2!
I liked above all new Clem character! She's grow up, and i like what she is or what she will be...![:D :D](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Telltale ends story with Death
I find it unemotional.

That doesn't mean she can't go away to the farm with Maybelle and go to "unknown" status for a season or two.
But I'm not saying that she must not die! I'm just saying that she deserves to be the protagonist of the game because it's her story!
I thought the game was called "The Walking Dead", not the "Clementine's interpretation of the Walking Dead."
