What type of History did Lee teach?

With the exchange with Omid I would assume U.S. History, but I'm willing to believe he teaches Global or Ancient.

  • Probably World or US history

Random question, but with the evidence in game , I think war related stuff about The US , I don't guess its Global right?

  • American Civil War History?

  • "Like...social studies?" :)

  • African-American studies?

  • I'm guessing U.S History because of his reaction when Christa asks "Who the hell is into to Civil War history anyways?"

  • no thats the study of social.

  • Urban Studies.

  • Civil war histories! I think civil war is his favorite history!

  • History of KICKING ASS!!!!

    Lee'sGunnaKickYoButt

  • 'US history or global'

Of topic, but it's really telling about America as a country that they have a whole subject just about their own history in schools.

In England where I live, we have a national history about 6 times as long as America, and when we learn history we ALWAYS learn 'global' history.

    Very interesting.

On topic, I swear it was mentioned somewhere that lee taught US history

Wow i'm hoping these people up here in the thread are seriously joking... they HAVE to be.

He was an high school teacher, so it most likely would've been world history. I highly doubt it's US history since that's in middle school in most cases, but I maybe wrong so 50/50.

  • You mean the people who are making fun of lee's skin colour?

Unfortunately racist jokes, particularly those including the word 'urban' are commonplace on this forum,

  • I think it was like American history becuase when Christa was talking to Lee in episode 3, she was talking about Omid and she said " who the hell is into Civil War history" and Lee say he liked it (he raised his hand saying yes).
Even in season 2 episode 4, when they were at the civil war place Clementine said, Lee would have loved this.
But Lee never really mentioned what history he teachers.

  • A history lessons without homework! That matter most!

  • America has gone through some crazy shit over the years.

  • American history. He could give you a hell of a critique on the US Farm Bill.

  • That's sociology. Social studies is what they call history in middle school, at least in the US. (probably because there is also geography, discussion of some social issues, those kinds of things).

no thats the study of social.

  • Most history classes are world history, even in the United States. I had to take one year that was focused on American history, but everything was a hodge-podge.

Moreover, Lee is a college professor, and so his expertise would be a lot more specific. Not only American history but a specfic time period (probably around the Civil War, given the frequent references).

  • How about African American Studies or as Kenny would say, Urban studies.

  • It's likely U.S History.

  • I took African American History, which taught about African american in history, somehow i passed with a B. The only thing i remember in this class is that one day the Professor who was diabetic collapsed while talking, everyone was like Whats going on!

In S1 EP3, it can be revealed that Lee likes Southern history and in S2 EP4, while Clementine is examining the Civil War museum, she can say "Lee would've loved this place". So maybe those are the types of history that Lee taught?

  • Also, that's what you call a reference to the first season, but yes you're correct...

Ah man, just giving you a hard time. :D

  • Honestly, considering how university professors work, may very well have taught both US and Global history. Maybe a third or fourth one; seems unlikely to me that a college history professor would only teach one type.

  • I know.that was a joke
