  • Yah it would be.

I guess. But then again, when they did that it was Season 3, and not Season 1. I'm just saying that them doing this kinda thing on Season 1 would be rather unreasonable...

  • i want the season 2 feel more grand . what i mean is that i want the story to be longer and more substantial . oh yeah i also colin and bufkin partying in vegas or something .

  • Agreed. I just finished the second playthrough just to catch hints and clues I missed the first go around because I made different choices. I love this game and the Walking Dead one, but this one is actually much better in my opinion (love them both, but just saying).

Anyway, I created an account just to be able to add to this thread and reiterate how awesome this game is and how i really, really hope they make a Season 2.

I think you'll play as Cinderella in season 2. Since Fables doesn't really have one main character (others include Boy Blue, Rose Red, Snow White, Prince Charming, Frau Totenkinder (Aka: The Evil Witch (Hansel and Gretal/Repunzel/etc.) and Cinderella), I think they'll switch to a new lead. Cindy is the best bet. For those who are unaware, she's James Bond. In other words, she's a spy who was trained and works directly for Bigby. She served with him the World War 1 and 2, and has been working as Fabletowns spy for over 200 years. Apart from Bigby, she's the most dangerous Fable in Fabletown. Once, she was shot, had her arm broken, survived a car crash and right after still managed to fight off two elite heavily armed assassins single-handed.
Plus, she's already tied into The Wolf Among Us. When Crane leaves for Paris, Bigby sends Cindy to spy on him. After tricking Crane into pledging loyalty to the Adversary, she reveals her true loyalties to Bigby when he shows up, and Bigby kills him.
As for other mains; Prince Charming is out of the country, Boy Blue intentionally leaves a dull, normal life, I doubt anyone would want to play as an old lady to be Frau, Snow White's story involves paperwork (pretty boring), and Rose Red is still a dumb slut at this point (granted, she's still the dumb slut throughout the comics, no matter how much the writers try to make us like her). So Cindy is the only real contender.

  • She's a total badass. She even has her own spin-off in the Fable comics.

No! I want more BIGBY WOLF! I don't wanna play as Cinderella.

  • Cindy is a bad bitch
    Cindy is awesome
    Cindy is sexy
    Cindy is beautiful
    Cindy is cool
    Cindy is Intelligent
    Cindy has swag

The morale of the story, I'd wife her

I never read the comics so I didn't even know he was in a world war thats cool :D.

And ya I've been saying if we don't play as bigby we should play as Cinderella i think that would be cool

  • Yeah, love her dialogue too.
"Oh my fucking god! When will people realize that guns are RANGED WEAPONS and stop walking up, monologing, and pointing them at point-blank range!"
"Bigby's first law: If you're facing an enemy unarmed, you can always borrow their weapon."
"If only my hang-glider dress went with these shoes!"
"I'm a lovely spy and a halfway decent assassin. But I am absolutely one crappy politician."

  • He dragged Cindy to every war with him. She also knows Bigby's only fear; heights. Also, she's been making fun of Bigby and Snow's "Cheers/Sam and Diane Will-they-won't-they crap" - as she puts it - for centuries.
In other words, she's the perfect character for the next game.

  • Is it wrong that I can picture Cinderella killing someone using her glass slipper? :u

  • They better make it dang it I want it so bad.

  • That'd be awesome if it did. I haven't read any of the comics yet though so I'll still have to catch up on those depending on when Season Two will take places. It could take place after the comics maybe.

    • Snow:I let Cindy handle the investigation... Bigby:Noooo!!!
  • I prefer turning into a giant wolf whenever someone fucks with him.

But a DLC on Cindy sounds awesome! TTG get to work!

  • Yeah but this is The Wolf Among Us, not The Dumb Blonde Among Us.

  • Just updated the initial post a bit...

  • Of course I want a second season I actually like TWAU more than the walking dead.

  • I would love to see a second season.
The story and the look of season one made it one of my favorite games, so it would be awesome to spend more time in the Fables-Universe and maybe meet some new characters or more characters from the comics, like Rose Red.
I just hope that Telltale takes their time to make a second season instead of making two games at once again.

  • Yes, me too.
I mean I'm still excited for the Borderlands and Game of Thrones games, but I don't look forward to those too much.
And I would definitely rather see Season 2 of TWAU than yet another season of TWD.

    Mr_Eeuss posted: »

Yup. Honestly I'd rather have a 2nd season of TWAU than the other games they're currently working on.

  • I can totally see a midseason DLC being set in or around the Farm. I would buy that. I absolutely love this universe, going to go start on the comic now.

  • Exactly.

  • What they should do is interchange the playable character like they are doing with Tales from the Borderlands. Some times in the episode you are playing as Bigby, other times you are playing as Cindy. But I would prefer if they just kept it Bigby but included Cindy in the story somehow. And a Cindy DLC would be really cool.

  • Well, it'd be interesting to have some of the removed storylines from the original plot in season two! Like, one of them was the death of one of Cindrella's stepsisters so maybe they could bring that back and, subsequently, bring her into the game?

  • Yes. Indeed. I also think it would be interesting for a S2 to be played out at the farm. OR somehow relating to the farm... it would be a nice thing to explore. Perhaps even play as a different main character. Not that I wouldn't want to keep playing as Bigby, but just for a different perspective and feel to it. TJ perhaps? or is that too "walking dead"-ish... ?

  • They could interchange them within the game sort of like what they are doing in Tales from the Borderlands. But I just want them to make more Wolf, even if it just a DLC :(

Yes I know, I just want Mr. Bigby Almighty Wolf back. I already miss him

I would like a DLC with characters we haven't seen yet or seen just a little (maybe one of the characters could be in the Farm), to know them better and play with characters other than Bigby. Then more Bigby for Season 2. I hope they'll at least make a DLC.

  • of course man I love TWAU and lately even more than The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I want to return to Fabletown as Bigby please telltale make it happen

Current characters + new ones and another great storyline would be just enough for my appetite! That said, I wouldn't mind a new main character, as long as the previous main character wouldn't be neglected in the storyline... (On the other hand, I don't think they would just neglect Bigby. I mean, the game is kinda named after him >.<)

Also just wanted to say, I know it would be hard to make up another storyline with Bigby and for it to stay to the canon. But I'm sure Telltale would figure something out, them bunch of geniuses.

  • If they plan on making a second season, the DLC should have a character(s) who we haven't seen yet but will see in the second season, hopefully Cindy! But if they don't plan on making a S2, then they better at least release a DLC which has Bigby in it.

I just wanted to ask you guys, what did you think about the trailers and stuff and how they portrayed the game as a "Series".
I mean, on the picture of the game itself, it tells us "The Wolf Among Us: Telltale Games Series". I don't think that series usually end with only one game/season in them.

Also, the most obvious one is on the trailer for the last episode. It tells us "Season Finale". Not game or SERIES finale. That's a pretty big hint.

Unless Jennifer comes posting to this post that Telltale has done the same thing to one of their games and that there is no hope. >.<
What a buzzkill that would be... (I just don't want you hurting my feelings again :( )

  • For the trailers and stuff, they did/are doing the same thing with TWD, example "The Walking Dead: a Telltale Games Series" despite the fact there are two seasons. And I hope that the whole "Season Finale" thing is a hint.

Another hint that could be indicating a Season 2 is at during the CM's trial and your talk with TJ and Nerissa, it keeps saying "... will remember that." What do you think about that hint?

  • Hmm, I never really thought about that. While it could be a hint, it doesn't exactly have to mean that much to be honest. I mean, in TWD, if you remember in Episode 3 of Season 1, just before your saved character from Episode 1 dies (Carley or Doug), they also had the "will remember that" if you went against them or sided with them before their death. And that was kinda useless... (On the otherhand, it gave you the impression as if they wouldn't die... too soon anyway) My point is, I don't think it's very reliable...

  • Hmm I guess so. I've just been so desperate for more Wolf I keep trying to find hints toward a sequel in everything :(. Just gotta have some patience and hope for the best I guess...

  • Same here. But I'm feeling very positive about this. Can't wait to see what happens. :)

  • Guys, I just checked the trailers again for TWD and TWAU. (of course, the last episodes).

The Walking Dead Episode 5 trailer ended as a Season finale. Then Season 2 came soon after it (about a year later).
I think it's safe to say that there WILL be a Season 2 for TWAU, just might be late.

  • edited July 2014

Its probably going to be coming out at the same time as TWD S3, but TWD will probably have a head start of about 1-2 episodes. This is where that DLC to help us pass the time comes in play :)
