4 Months VS. 2 Years
Hello my forum family. I wanted to say this because it stuck with me all the time. (I'm gonna earn a lot of downvotes for this. My URBAN SENSES never failed me down) We saw in ''All That Remains'' that Clementine spend totally 24 months with Christa (It stars 8 months after Lee's death and then skips to 16 months after Omid's death) while Lee and Clementine spend hardly 4 months together. It makes me feel like all of those tough decisions and dialouges I made as Lee is kinda pointless. Of course in Season 2 our choices from S1 matters. You can find them in the dialouges but it didn't affected Clementine's characteristic personality, not even a little bit. Like; even if you play Clem as a kindhearted person her face is always in sassy mode. Because if you compare the timelines, 4 months is nothing to compare to the 2 years. Maybe they had to do that timeskip because some of you wanted to play as older Clementine like we have right now. But if she was going to spend so much time with Christa then why the hell didn't they let us to play the game as Christa instead of Lee from the very begining then? I know this is a shitty discussion. Please forgive me for that. What do you think about all this?
URBAN UPDATE: I asked @gavinhammon on Ask.fm the same question and he said; "Quality > Quantity, in my opinion."

Well I think her relationship with Lee meant more to her, but yeah I don't get why the time skip was that long, they could have made a season in that time , and a lot could have happened to Clem but I
Don't think we'll ever know now....
I would have enjoyed Season 2 better playing as Christa than Clementine. I find Clementine to be unemotional, boring as a protagonist. I think they should stick with the Guardian protector protagonist.
I agree and it feels as if Christa's been forgotten. Clem probably had a better relationship with Lee than she had with Christa because I get the feeling Christa might have been a little hard on Clem after Omid died. But still it was a whole 16 months that Christa had to look after Clem by herself and she had to deal with whatever happened to her baby.
I wouldn't want to play the game as Christa but I agree that we've missed a lot.
I'd be happy to play as Christa in Season 3. But I believe the point of the time-skip is to imply that the stress of being stuck with a quiet, grieving survivalist and undergoing numerous horrors is what's made Clem so stoic. Have you ever seen what wars have done to children?
She's still a kind, hopeful girl, but she bottles up her pain out of necessity. Christa didn't have the luxury of coddling her like Carlos would have, and Clem didn't have the luxury of over-reacting if she wanted to stay alive. The closest we've seen her to crying is Kenny flipping out on her.
My theory about Christa is she went crazy after being ambushed by those guys, maybe they caught her, did some not so nice things to her. She lost her mind and murdered the people at the creek. She been silently stalking Clementine for weeks to get her revenge for Omid. She wants revenge and is the villain in the final chapter.
I sense there is a Dislike Troll Among Us....
What's the point of promising Lee to take care of her with Omid and taking care of her in this 16 month then? IF she wanted to get revenge from Clementine, she could've done this in Gil's Pitstop 16 months ago. Even I don't like Christa (I don't hate her just didn't like or cared about her that much) I don't think she lost it THAT much. I didn't mean to be a shitbird to you Georgie... I don't know why the hell I acted that seriously... I think I'm pregnant...
So the Stranger mixed with Joyce?
That's not how torture works. That's not how logic works. Christa spent over a year protecting Clem - she may not have forgiven her, but 'revenge' is as far from her mind as can be. She's as mentally strong as Mike is physically
Now I can see Luke AND Kenny snapping over the gunfight with the Russians. Just like Rebecca, Clementine will be forced to be the "strong woman among weak men".
I am just saying it would be a plot twist most people wouldn't expect, and it would explain why those people were dead by the river. Oh don't worry about it, i'm used to it.
Its a story, don't get on your high horse, after seeing Kenny brought back from the dead, anything is possible.

Christa cared for Clem, but deep down I feel like she was always a bit mean to her because she left her gun out and thats what the bandit used to kill Omid. But Lee found her in her parents home, rescued her and took her to Macon, left Macon with her, and spent all that time with her like he was her real dad. Time doesn't really matter as much as how much they cared for each other did (sorry if I'm being a bit cheesy).
In Episode 1, the Telltale Community is introduced but there's a member banned for no good reason, and this will lead to an investigation within Telltale Managment.....
I think she's mad for the same reason Kenny got mad at Lee after Duck's bite and raged at Clem following Sarita's bite - they blame themselves, but unfairly put their anger onto another target.
It's not the amount of time but the quality of the time that matters. Lee and Clem had a father-daughter connection, Lee took care of her, taught her the essentials to survive, became a role model for her, depending on your choices Clem learned from him the important moral lessons, compassion, forgiveness, kindness, mercy and trust etc. These are all very important for a child her age, these are the kind of memories that will stick with forever. Imagine her being taken from the treehouse by a psychopath such as Carver. What kind of a person she would be now? So no, your choices DID matter, however it is up to you to show it (by picking dialogues and making choices that suits her personality).
Clementine starting off with Carver would be darkly amusing.
Although if my theory about Kenny is right, perhaps Bill was once as likable and well-intentioned as Kenny used to be.
That could be right. It crossed my mind as well.. It is possible that he might just snap at some point, maybe if something happens to the baby? And the Bonnie and Luke's dialogues did hint several times that Kenny is not okay anymore. Maybe there will be an important choice for us to stick with Kenny even if decides to walk on a dark path or just finally leave him go on our own way? Like Jane suggested.
Kenny's attack on the zombies is blatantly framed as him re-enacting his unnecessarily savage kill of Carver. It's important that Bonnie, the woman who tried defending Carver's actions, is the one who urges Clem to bring him back from his despair. He's still stuck in the past, but now has the pain (and possible brain damage) of Carver's beating to compound his mental trauma.
He's taken on Carver's son as his responsibility and could probably justify whatever brutal things he does with that as his excuse. Remember that the Governor also became steadily obsessed with his niece, and Kenny's eye-patch is a possible allusion of his eventual personality.
I hope we'll see some background details in ''No Going Back'' about what happened in this 16 months and Clem and Christa's relationship. Only one can hope.
They could have made like 6 seasons during that time.
This theory sounds pretty convincing to me. I didn't watch him killing Carver. But I remember the zombie head-bashing scene very well, I assume it was pretty similar? I agree if the baby lives, with Rebecca out of the picture Kenny will be obsessively over protective about him. Which I think eventually put Luke and him at odds (not suprisingly) and maybe Kenny do something to him (or someone else in the group)? This makes me really nervous, I hate those kind of choices. I hope it won't come that.
I'm really surprised that she didn't even shed a single tear in this season. Especially when Kenny starting to blame Clementine for Sarita. I don't if she's really tough or Telltale didn't care about that little details. She's a human being after all.
