to telltale a suggestion i hope

edited July 2014 in The Walking Dead

Hi telltale I thought of something and i hope it happens I know that this is episode 4 right now and we will head into the conclusion of season 2 of the walking dead game

i dont know what you have planned but i dont want to say goodbye to clem cause that would make me hate the game and possibly might make me never play season 3 or other seasons if there are any

i probably would pretend they are not even there or i might get it but not really like it but anyway I hope we will see more clementine after season 2

also i know a some or a lot of people want to play either someone else in clems group or have all different characters for season 3 but not me i did like lee in season 1 so he or clem would be the only ones

but you killed off lee in season 1 and the only other person i want to play is clem so i was thinking as a suggestion i would like to see happen is that maybe for season 3 instead of just playing as clementine make some character options for the people who want to continue playing clem allow them to play as her

if others want luke let them play luke or if they want kenny let them be kenny or if they want to create their own character they can do that to

give them character options in the game that way if someone does not want to play clem they can choose the character they want to play as i am saying give us characters to choose from in the game and let us choose the character we want to play and allow us to create our own characters as well i think this would really make things interesting.

  • I am surprised that telltale has not seen this yet or read it

I'm surprised you thought Telltale would read this or even give you the confirmation that they read it, especially if written like that.

  • I changed it up some hope they would read it

  • That would never work. They would have to tailor the whole story for several mailn characters, write/record new dialogues for each character, the effort would be tremendous. It's not that kind of a game.

  • The mods and, by extension, Tell Tale Staff see everything. But they aren't going to listen to anyone's story suggestions unless it's the people they actually pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to write them. So, sorry... But video game companies don't work like that.

  • I believe that its real shame that they would not listen to anything or even consider the thought cause it will be sad when things go down hill and they start loosing people

  • They could do it but how many of you would pay the $60.00 price tag?

  • It's not impossible but it's also not cost effective. Cinematics, dialog, and voice acting all multiply by how many characters you're adding. So if you had 3 characters to choose from you'd triple the cost.

On another note, I wouldn't mind seeing a character creator if we don't get to play as Clem. It'd be a little nice to customize our own survivor and wouldn't cost much outside of the visuals if the gender stayed the same (since you don't have to worry about two voice actors). It'd be something neat especially if we could kinda pick out their background a bit. Might be something to consider.

  • Precisely. Not to mention that TWDG is a narrative experience that is based on character-driven gameplay. We don't need Saints Row IV style customization... It detracts from the overall theme and atmosphere of Robert Kirkman's universe.
