Uh yes, she was going into labor, she needed someone who knew how to deliver it by her side at all times while everyone else gathered supplies, just in case.
Kenny was keeping an eye on her, HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
So tell me, what good is that for? she could've exploded while she was in labor so Kenny had to stay around?
Uh yes, she was going into labor, she needed someone who knew how to deliver it by her side at all times while everyone else gathered supplies, just in case.
I don't know if he deserved it, but I really don't think it would matter anyways. Those magic plot walkers would insta-teleport there to put the group in sudden danger regardless of Luke and Jane's special time together. My point is I didn't care much. But seems to me if there was someone to blame it was Jane. She offered it in the first place, Luke was vulnerable and probably thought "what the hell" .. Who am I to blame him.
The timing was stupid, considering how important his job was and why they were there. Any other time would have been okay, if it was actually, as you said "free time".
Uh.. well, I think he was wrong but well, it's kind of what I think about Kenny going off on Clementine. They were both experiencing shitty times and needed to blow off steam, even though they did so in different ways.
She did several things
-Find shelter for Rebecca
-Got it open for her
-Thought about taking the meds for her
Luke had one simple… more task but screwed it all up, kinda hard for her to help if Luke is having sex with her,he could have said no not right now maybe later. Bottom line his screw up almost cost the groups life and put them in that final situation
She did not distract him, she tr8t up made a offer. He took it hands down. That's like saying its the victim fault because someone raped hi/her when its the** person who did the act** or in this case for Luke agreed to it Luke is very much to blame for he was the one whom agreed to her offer and did it. It takes two to tango
It isn't the issue that he let loose with Jane (I mean many characters do that in the comic too, apparently) - it was just that it was the COMPLETELY wrong time and Sarah would most likely still be around (if you saved her the first time). Although what bugs me is that everyone suddenly hates the guy for one mistake (a major one, but still). Did we forget he stood up for Clem when pretty much everyone wanted to kill her in episode 1? And he does watch out for her and value her opinion in many points leading up till then, when many people still treat her like a child. I mean I'm pretty sore at how Kenny was reacting. No matter what you did, he blames you for Sarita's death. She got bit and that wasn't Clem's fault! And he's made many mistakes himself - remember the meat locker?

I recommend that you avoid making stupid rape analogies from now on.
Anyway, I'm not absolving Luke except to the extent that (1) it ultimately didn't matter and (2) Jane could've been helping him do his job since she was done with hers.
I'm just saying that if it was so damn important that he watch for walkers (which it really turned out not to be), then she should've recommended that he get back to work rather than asking him if he wanted to fuck.

Nobody died during the "All Fall Down" attack except for possibly Sarah, who fell because of extremely contrived reasons. You might as well blame HER for her own death.
I feel like some pretty stupid mistakes were caused this season by certain people wanting sex- you don't leave a little girl all alone in an abandoned gas station bathroom while you go have sex. I know they were right next door, but see what happened- SEE WHAT HAAAPPPPENNNED!
Seriously though, it was Christa and Omid's fault Omid got killed. They gave an eight year old a gun and tasked her to protect herself while they had sex- what if it was a whole group of bandits? Same with Luke and Jane having sex. They abandoned the proper thing to do and had sex instead. They got lazy and cut corners of what they needed to do.
If you think about it, look how emotionally raw Luke was. He lost basically everyone besides Clementine and Rebecca. If Jane asked him to just let loose for a moment, to just forget everything bad in this world just for a moment, of course he'd take it. She took advantage of an emotionally raw man. I'm not excusing his actions, I'm explaining them. The hate for Luke is really unneeded.
You have a valid point, but lets not just think about that specific moment. I'm just saying that if your job is to check if there's danger nearby, you ignore it by having sex, and then everything goes tits up, you kinda screwed the pooch, regardless of the outcome.
It's like a doctor excusing leaving the ER unattended while he has sex with a nurse, by saying nobody died while he was doing it.

I understand that had a reason to let loose with Jane, to forget bad things that happened. But don't you think that they should've done it in a more appropriate moment? Letting loose when there's a woman in labour and an area full of walkers that you have to clean is probably not a good idea.

He made a mistake. You can't really justify it that much. He was overcome by everything that had happened recently (Carlos, Kenny, possibly Sarah) and fucked up. But you can't blame him for being human or for reaching his limit... Hell, even Kenny seemed to understand...
No I can for that is a perfect example of blaming the victim which u r doing. An btw rape is not stupid but very serious[not sure if u knew that or just another wym hater]
Luke's fault period, he agreed and did it
**It was important **for it put the crew in that shitty final ending and serah got killed

Um, the reason you don't blame the victim for being raped is because the victim is, well, a victim. It's rape because the victim isn't doing it willingly.
Blaming a party to consensual sex for suggesting the sex when she had a more prudent option (assisting with Luke's task) has nothing to do with "blaming the victim." A person who engages in consensual sex IS responsible for his or her choices.
If you don't know the fundamental difference between rape and consensual sex, I think you're doing it wrong. So, again, let's stop with the stupid analogies.

Uh duh You are blaming Jane and of course its consensual, point is you are one sided on something both did and Luke's price was the group safety. Also once again rape is serious not stupid,I suggest you learn more about it for am well aware

I don't think people dislike him JUST for having sex with Jane.
I started to dislike him because of various actions he did in the fourth … moreepisode.
* I really disliked the way Kenny and Luke abandoned Clementine in the herd.
* I disliked the way he tried to put all of the blame onto clementine if you leave Sarah. Like he wasn't there for hours, failed and then was the first to escape. Yes, Clem left her too, but it felt like he was pushing all the blame on her to make him feel better about the decision.
* I didn't like the way he was bitching about Mike, saying how he was trying to be accepted and gain approval. Yeah well.... he doesn't know Jane that well but he sure as hell accepted and trusted her.
* Then he had sex with Jane at an inappropriate moment, when the group trusted him to keep watch and keep them safe. So really, he isn't one to go on about trust, when he broke theirs.
* He pretty much doesn't give a shit about Sarah (… [view original content]
I never said rape is stupid; I said your analogy was stupid. Don't call something "blaming the victim" when there isn't a victim. I didn't blame someone who had something done to her against her will; I said that someone who proposed and then willingly engaged in something was complicit in its poor timing. How obtuse are you?

You don't take a break when you're supposed to be watching out for your group, a job you volunteered for, no less. I understand Luke startin… moreg to break under the strain and needing something to cope, but time and place, dude. He could've waited a few more hours for them to get the baby born and then boned Jane to his heart's content or just taken matters into his own hands if the urge was that bad. It was stupid of Jane, but Jane wasn't really a member of the group, invested in the people, like Luke was. It looks extra shitty on him.
You are not understanding at all what my point was. U r upset and blaming jane whom is not responsible which was Luke who was. It was not stupid but of course you would say that to prove your point. Apparently you ar either slow or not reading

Jesus Christa, are you fucking kidding me? He was doing NOTHING.
Yet I think leting loose and not doing your job is 1000000000000x better than cursing and blaming Clementine for Sarita's death, while they're surrounded by a herd, running away and leaving her.
As far as we can see, he's not even better than Ben, given that he also left Clementine to the walkers back at Savannh.

He actually didn't know that walkers were attacking, that's probably why he thought it would have been okay.
But I do think that him doing it while Rebecca was ready to push a goddamn baby out was a really stupid time.

are you drunk or something? Kenny was watching her the whole time.
Are you so anti-Kenny that it blinds you?
Ignore the forum troll whose punctuation is decent, yet has no realistic expectations regarding the process of childbirth.

and Luke could have said no but he did not and just tossed everything aside

Jane still should not have tried to distract him if it was such a big deal that someone needed to be watching.
I agree what Luke did was absolutely stupid, but you came off extremely rude right there I'd suggest editing your post so you don't get banned.

Hilarious!
jane is a ho....straight up.... she's a walker breeding machine.
Dare you say using the holy saltlick was a mistake? Blasphemy.
Boning on guard duty? That kinda gets people killed. I mean, they had ONE job.

Yeah, real understanding.
He had a job and chose not to do it putting people's life's in danger sorry but Luke F'ed up
Hahaha I laughed so hard when he said that, like, it was so obvious he wanted to go have some fun with her again.
