Will Telltale Do Another DLC? If So, Any Ideas?
Its great that we have an announcement for season 3, but, do you guys think they will do another DLC? I think they should, and most likely will.
I would like to see a DLC about Christa and Clem and what happened in that 16 month gap, or how Kenny managed to survive in episode 5 and what happened afterwards.

Just mentioned this in another thread, but I'll say it again anyways;
I wanna hear more about Eddie and Shel/Becca. I feel like their stories have kind of been left on a cliffhanger after 400 days, and I really want to hear more about them if they don't show up in Episode 5.
I would love a dlc centered on Nate and his adventures.
Yeah I saw that but I wanted to start a general thread about it.
Here's an idea:
In this DLC you get to tie in all the loose ends.
You start off as Kenny after Episode 5, a huge QTE showing how he survived would be neat.
You move up to Clem during Christa's labor, up until the start of Episode 1
Then you play as Christa after she was separeted from Clem.
And you finish off the DLC playing as Lilly, to build her up for Season 3.
In my opinion, it would be good at least so people stop complaining about the stuff we don't know.
Cabin group before they met Clem, I NEED MOAR NICK!
That is a great idea! Are you reading this, Telltale?![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I would love a DLC that focused on the survivors of season two. It would explore moments important to their personal stories that we never got to see. For the sake of an example, lets say the group was Clementine, Christa, Luke and Kenny.
Christa - Her part would take place after she was separated from Clementine.
Clementine - What we missed during that year and a half after they lost Omid.
Kenny - Meeting Sarita and how he got out of the herd.
Luke - Breaking the cabin group out of Carver's community
This could work since we would continue to explore these characters in the next season. It wouldn't be necessary to see these moments, but it could add to their characters and development.
EDIT: Also, how crazy would it be to play to play as Clementine's parents at the very beginning of the apocalypse? We'd never get it since it wouldn't further the story but that would be cool.
Eddie, Nate, and Molly. I demand to know what happened to them....butmostlyNatetbh.
I don't know. The fallout at Howe's after our group left? Kenny going Tyreese on the Savannah horde and meeting Mrs.Fridging? Clem and Christa's 16 month android programming? Or a whole lot of killing folks and taking all their stuff?
Maybe it will be another "bridge" between seasons, unrelated to the past - unlike many of the popular ideas are - and the main story of S2. Another proof-of-concept like 400 days. I really don't know, there are a lot of possibilities.
How about new DLC like 400 Days. Maybe something like.
Christa losing her baby, or her survival after being separated from Clem.
Kenny meeting Sarita and maybe his survival.
Cabin Group's departure
400 Days Group (Story being determinant, happening after Episode 3 if they went with Carver, or whatever if they didn't go at all.)
Arvo's group and what happened to/with them until they met Clem.
Jane/Molly/Lilly cameos or something if they don't come back. (Also seeing Lee again if they zombified or died would be a tear-jerker)
I'd love to see these as DLC. Cause you can flesh out Season 2, and easy to make, cause you're reusing your former assets.
Reasons
I think many people want to see Christa one more time at the very least.
Sarita's pretty much not very interesting, and you can expand on her. Plus Kenny is a fan-favorite.
Seeing the Cabin Group depart could totally give them alot more characterization that we didn't see with Clem. Plus possible 400 Days developments.
400 Days Group was something alot of people wanted to be delivered on. Kind of never happened except for Bonnie.
We're probably not going to regret killing Arvo's gang. DLC can give us hindsight.
Might as well wrap up loose-ends if they're not coming back. And showing Lee's fate that we determined is kind of awesome tbh.
Thats true. I just hope its something that the majority of the forum will like, including myself.
I'd like to see the story of five characters that will ALL be involved in season threes storyline. Some might be in Wellington, others might be Wellington's enemies, etc. Same 15-20 minutes per story, but much less that ties them together.
I don't know. Kenny, Christa, and Lilly all have more or less set personalities. It wouldn't feel like I have as much control because we already know how they would/should act in those situations. And I kind of like the mystery of not knowing what happened to all of these people. It makes it more realistic, which is something Kirkman really likes to do with the comics. And Lilly in season 3? I liked Lilly as a character, don't get me wrong, but it seems a little too contrived for Clementine to run into both Lilly and Kenny after being separated from both of them for so long. Seems too movie-like. Kenny was pushing it a bit too, to be honest.
I would like a DLC focused on just one or two characters. If you get to play as two characters, then the episode would just be split evenly between them, and then possibly add a short epilogue character of sorts like they did with Tavia in 400 Days. Then, if the character(s) survive, and depending on choices you make, one (or both if they do two) could appear in Season 3 as major supporting characters to Clementine (if she is the main character). There personality could be set by how you play as them and treat others in the DLC. Maybe one could end up missing a hand depending on choices.
For example, let's say you play your character using the more jerkish options when speaking and acting, and at one point your character loses a finger. Then when they appear in season 3 they act like a complete asshole to you, and they're missing said finger. Hell, maybe they even try to kill/rob you right away. Alternatively if you play as a mostly kind and caring character to the people you meet, then the character is really nice to you in season 3, and maybe they're caring nature gets them killed earlier than if they were a jerkass, or a sarcastic back talker, or the silent type.
If they do make a DLC, I think it should be another bridge to Season 2. Maybe when we get to Wellington, we meet some guy, like the leader or whatever. They could do a DLC which makes us learn more about him or her, or maybe just the starting of Wellington in general.
But tbh, seeing as Telltale is already in the production of 3 games and it doesn't seem like there are making a TWAU S2 anytime soon, if they make a DLC for anything, it should be Wolf.
I would like an actual explanation of how the hell Kenny survived Savannah on the ground in the horde without covering himself in walker guts and being unarmed? "He got lucky" ain't enough for me.
Maybe the DLC can continue on what happens with the rest of the 400 Days characters whether or not they choose to go with Tavia.
Continuation on the 400 Days character arcs would be nice. Maybe some insight on the remnant's of Carver's settlement?
I had still hoped to see characters like Shel and Becca incorporated back into the main storyline somehow (maybe even for season 3), but that's seeming less likely at this point.
DLC - 'The Forgotten'
Tavia's story - Tavia and whichever 400 Days characters are with her will end up leaving Carver's Community together, whichever 400 Days characters didn't go with her in 400 Days will appear at a new area where Tavia and whoever went with her go. So, either way, Tavia will end up being with Shel, Becca, Wyatt, Russell and Vince. They all strike up an argument and then whoever is alive goes to Wellington with Tavia.
Lilly's story - If you left her behind first, she ends up walking to the RV and takes it, if you took her with you, Lilly will be shown driving Kenny's RV. Along the way she meets up with Survivors, which almost all are determinant, and she makes her way to the trailer park. After that she meets more survivors who all set up a barricade using furniture. Christa is in that group and they both journey to Wellington.
???'s story - a character who starts of in a similar situation as Rick Grimes. S/he wakes up to find the world in ruins, but quickly adapts. S/he should be a character that makes plenty of mistakes and is a burden, maybe having a medical condition or anxiety? S/he ends up finding a group of people and end up leaving most of them. Then this character's group could end up journeying ahead not knowing that they are heading towards Wellington.
???'s story - a character who was left behind and only has a brother/sister with them. This character's story could involve at first trying to build a life because of all the supplies left behind by people. But then this character's brother/sister dies and s/he ends up being all alone. S/he ends up finding survivors all alone in their town, and you can choose whether to try to kill them, leave them, give them supplies or take them with you. No matter what some of the survivors will end up joining you, and want to reach Wellington because of all the rumours.
???'s story - a character who works at a place like the CCD, trying to discover the cause of the apocalypse and a possible cure, this is also where the military come into play trying to protect the scientists. But after Walkers overrun the facility, you are given a choice of whether to stay and whoever leaves without you will die, or leave and whoever wanted to stay dies, different ways to escape happen depending on your choice. Either way s/he will be aided by the military after escaping, but then the hoard of Walkers show up and kill off the military, leaving only a few scientists and soldiers alive. The story will end with this group travelling to Wellington in hopes to find a place where they can research the cause and cure.
Anyways, I think all the stories should end with the different groups heading to the same place as Clementine's group is, so that a Season 2 DLC would be able to affect Season 3.
I absolutely do not want to see a DLC on Christa's miscarriage/Kenny surviving. The exact details are not important in both of these scenarios, we already have the facts; Christa lost the baby and Kenny survived, that's what matters. Any backpedaling would feel like a massive retread and run the risk of causing errors in continuity (look the X-Men prequels to see what I mean). I don't intend to sound mean to those who really want to see Kenny take on a shitload of walkers in the alley or a childbirth Q+E with Christa (that's the best idea I could come up with for gameplay
), you have a right to want that and even think it's a good idea, this is just how I feel, but I digress, what I WOULD WANT:
More 400 days cast, in the aftermath of Clem and co. escaping from Carver's camp. It'd be cool if maybe they met up with Bonnie again and we get to play HER in season 3. I know that's a bit out there and we'll probably just resume play as Clem next season if she doesn't die in the finale, but it would redeem Telltale in my eyes as far as the shafted 400 days cast are concerned. Either way, it really should be a proper bridge between seasons rather than what turned out to be just filler the first time.
If they were to do another DLC, it might be cool to fill in a couple character's backstories before we met them (as Lee or Clem) or during a period of time where they were gone for a while so we get to see what they were doing during said time. It might be cool to see Ken after Savannah or possibly Lilly after we left her/she left us with the RV, or even a cool Christa and Omid adventure!
To be honest, I don't think they'll do backstories or use main characters that have distinct characteristics so they might do another 400 days (800 days? 2 years is 730 days so it's possible. Either that or 1000 days) but with new people that TT could try and incorporate better into season 3.
Cabin Group prequel! although doing it after season 2 would be rather dumb as it will have zero impact on season 3 unless Luke survives, would be nice if they put it in before 400 days, i mean, if instead of 400 days we got the backstory of the cabin group, I'm sure nobody would complain about the DLC not mattering.
i think...umm, about 5 PC's? something like Pete, Carlos, Alvin, Nick, Luke. the concept would be somewhat similar to 400 days, we'll have
scene, time skip, scene, time skip, and so and forth, except it's all one story and we won't switch the POV, we'll have
How that group formed in the first place(Pete)
Nick's mom(Nick) (not sure where it comes actually, they haven't told us at what point it happened)
What happened with Alvin and George(Alvin)
The Escape from Carver's camp(Luke),
The events that led to Luke and Pete being out there and saving Clementine(Carlos)
and then when we'll see Pete and Luke rescuing Clementine we would be all "OOH IT'S THOSE GUYS!!!", and more importantly, actually feel connected to them and be sad about all of them dying.
AND it would have lots of impact on season 2, our choices as them could impact how they treat each other, maybe an optional character even!
i'd definitely take that over having a bit of backstory on bonnie, which hasn't really come to effect, has the "tell leland the truth" choice made any impact? we'll also get to see carver before his Face-Heel Turn.
But, of course that is a rather dumb idea because all those characters(except for Luke) are DEAD, I'm saying they should have done that instead of 400 days, regarding what should they actually do, probably some backstory of a character/s that will be a main one in season 3, if Lilly will show up there, then the DLC should undoubtedly be about her.
A DLC that changes Nick and sarahs death
get over them -_-
Wasn't the DLC like a contest or something? Whoever won would get the most screen time of out of everyone?
maybe there could be a dlc about the Russian group. Where you play as Arvo.
I do agree with you actually, i'm just trowing it out there.
About the set personalities. It seems like a really easy thing to get around. Clem won't be hard and Christa seems to have a pretty smart and nice personality, can't be much diferent from Lee right?. Kenny would be a chalenge, but it's not impossible since his section would probably be less dialogue based. And Lilly dosen't seem that hard either, she would have a leadership type of gameplay, making the most important decisions.
Kenny has had enough shine. I wanna know what the hell happened to Christa.
I was just Kiddin![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Press a to scream like a little girl
I want to know what happened to Vernon and his people after the boat
well if telltale are gonna pull off another 400 days and say it will affect season 3 they might as well not do it personally I don't think we have to be so serious all the time why not just make a fun dlc like one that is non canon something like that special ending/issue of the comics where rick wakes up from another coma with a robot arm and it is revealed that the outbreak was caused by aliens and they turned the governor into a cyborg obviously it does not have to be that far fetched but something just for a bit of fun while we wait for season 3
I always get excited over great ideas like this, and then I'm disappointed when they don't happen ;-;
Wouldn't mind playing a Jane Back-story DLC.
Jane says she has seen a lot of things, been w/ different groups & all kind of shit so there is content there.
The 400 days cast without (Bonnie of course). It would be huge.
We choose the protagonist (I'd choose Wyatt). But the thing is :What if no one went with Tavia.
