Shouldn't Sarah's death have been a bigger deal?
Such a innocent character dieing like that and everyone looked so unaffected, It specially bothered me with Clem because I took every single choice in the path to support Sarah. I through the two had a friendship, but in the end all Clem had was a "this is sad, but let's move on" face. It would be justifiable if I had taken the apathetic path towards her, but I averted it on every single step of the way. For me it feel like she should at least have shed some tears for her or something.

Sarah's death is a perfect example of what happens when you shield a child from the apocalypse!
I think Clem is just used to it. Kind of like what Vernon said back when he lost Brie.
Yeah. The same goes for Nick. These character's were given a lot of good development in the beginning episodes and then just erased from the picture in Episode 4. I believe Telltale just lost inspiration for them and wanted them gone ASAP for Episode 5. The characters still should've grieved for them, though.
Unless you saved her initially. In which case her death serves as a harsh indictment of sub-standard decking construction.
I'm going to sound a little butthurt here, but if Carley was unceremoniously shot in the face, I'm not going to cry crocadile tears if Sarah suddenly gets eaten.
On a more serious note, people do die suddenly, and I think it would be the same in the zombie apocalypse.
I think the issue is the fact that whereas the other characters seemed genuinely shocked as a result of Carley's death, it took about five seconds for the cast of Episode 4 to "get over" Sarah's demise. If somebody dies suddenly (as, I agree, would probably be likely to happen in a zombie apocalypse from time to time) then you would expect other people to be shocked, as opposed to apathetic. Even if you take the effect of desensitisation into account, Sarah wasn't just a random nobody. She'd been with Luke and Rebecca for a very long time, and long enough that you would expect Clementine to have developed some sort of attachment to her. And yet nobody seems to mind.
Plus, 'The Walking Dead' is a story-centric video game above all else and not a zombie apocalypse simulator. However realistic it might be to kill off characters suddenly and unexpectedly, Carley's death (to me at any rate) made more sense from a narrative point of view than Sarah's, which essentially squandered all the development, build-up and potential that had accumulated in previous episodes. I'd rather have an "unrealistic" game with good storytelling than the kind of (arguably) poor storytelling that accompanied most of the deaths in Episode 4.
That which sonic said.
I'm not upset because she died suddenly, but because I was not allowed to care about her as a character. I just hope they process her death a little better at some point in episode 5.
The reactions to Sarah's death at the trailer seem appropriate. The reactions to her later death, I agree seemed half-hearted. Granted, there was a lot of shit going on in that scene, so I don't know if an extended cry session would have really been possible.
But maybe have Clem lose focus for a little while following that and needing Jane to snap her back into it. That would have been enough to some sort of emotional effect on Clem. Then again, this is the same girl who saw her two zombified parents out on the street and still had the wherewithal to drag Lee's collapsed body to safety through a hoard of walkers. So maybe breaking down over Sarah would have been out of character of her.
After the scene is over she still doesn't get even a passing mention though. Clem didn't have to breakdown, but she shouldn't act like it was nothing either.
I found it amusing to be honest, Clem Clem ARRRGggggghhh
The perfect time to bring up Sarah or Nick would have been right after Luke comes up to Clem and asks her if she's okay.
The problems were that:
You saved her so she could die 3 minutes later. That made people feel cheated. Carley had a chance to be developed at least.
Nobody gave a shit about Sarah's death, not even Luke who screams her name right before she is devoured.
Sudden deaths don't piss me off.
Suddenly not being able to care that they died does.
Carley died? Go tell Katjaa how you felt about Carley and whether you've grown accustomed to people dying, or still feel horrible for her demise.
Sarah died? u did ur besties jane! timez to go see da baby dat probs won't survivez lul!
Its just bad writing on character development sadly. The new telltale writers dont match season 1's writers. I have not cared about any characters deaths this season except Omid's and he was an S1 character so it says a lot really.
The only characters i care about is Clem and Kenny and Mike would you believe! He's grown on me since Ep3 but i imagine he will be dead start of Ep5
