Season 1 Pharmacy Easter Egg Hunt

In the pharmacy in season one there's a note-board with a flyer for an Easter Egg Hunt at the motel.

Is this itself an Easter egg included to point us towards another Easter Egg at the motel?

I thought it might mean that the R.V. is meant to be the same as the one in the show (because it also has an unreliable radiator hose) but the two R.V.s look very different.

Is there another Easter Egg at the motel that I've not spotted? Or maybe the R.V. is going to be in each season and that's a clue that we should look for it.

Otherwise it could just be a random piece of set-dressing that was included without thought for a possible meta meaning.

Is there really an Easter egg at the motel? If so, where and what is it?

  • To be honest I think I might be sending everyone on a wild-goose chase. I don't think there's anything distinct enough at the motel to actually be an Easter egg. That's what lead me to the idea that maybe the R.V. was supposed to be the same one as the one in the series but they do look completely different.

Maybe we just have to too look out for the R.V. in every series? That might be something they could retro-actively include but it seems a little tenuous.

  • Are you sure? A thought the name of the drink was "Bannano" I looked really closely each time it appeared to make it out.

I was going to have my sig read "Make mine a Bannano".

I already looked and if there is something there I didn't find it. I'm not sure there is anything there, I was just wondering if anyone had found something.

I really don't want to send a bunch of people off on a wild-goose chase but if people are going to go for it anyway then good luck with the search (I couldn't find anything)

It's definitely the same vehicle model but is it supposed to be the same R.V. or is it just re-use of assets?

They do seem to make it very obvious (although, to be honest, I didn't notice it).

But why would it be there if not someone following them? Surely they should be miles away from it by now (unless they back-tracked?).

I wouldn't have thought they would have asked us to accept such an extreme co-incidence but who knows. Maybe it's just an Easter egg.

But that would mean Lilly followed the road all the way to the R.V. got fuel for it and found here way to exactly where Clem now is? If Lilly wanted to follow them it might be possible but even so still highly unlikely, especially since she would have made contact with clem or Kenny before now and her favoured strategy was to find a place to fortify and stay put.

    Lilly confirmed for Season2!

  • I was just making a stupid joke...it is just a re used model.

A lot of people are thinking that, but she'd need to be following them for it to be realistic and even then it's a real stretch.

  • Well it's two years after apocalypse start so Lilly might know about Wellington and she drive to Wellington and in the Trailer Park she run out of fuel (Sorry for my grammar xD)

  • Maybe she switched trailers and went on ahead and they'll bump into her further on. ;0)

  • It is possible, Lilly could've easily walked to the groups locations in a few days and syphoned gas from other cars. We can't prove that it's just a re-used model until we know for a fact that Lilly died in Season 1 or not, because it hasn't been confirmed. Besides, Telltale could do allot with Season 1 characters in future Seasons.

It probably refers to the fact that right next to the Easter Egg hunt notice, there's an ad for "The IT Guy". Doug was based on Telltale's former IT guy Doug Tabacco.

There are a lot of Easter Eggs in The Walking Dead though.

Possibly but all of this is so tenuous giving the abstract nature of the style of the thing that you could really read a lot into it if you looked to deeply at it.

It says the Easter Egg hunt is at the motel but I couldn't find anything, and I'm not sure that the Banang makes an appearance until further on (but I'd never heard of Banang so if it was there I would have missed it, I later read it as "Banano" and just thought it was weird fake branding).

Maybe they literally mean there was some kind of Easter Egg hunt in the back-story of the town and that it has no actual "meta" meaning.

But what would motivate her to do that? She'd have no reason to assume that they'd have been stopped by a train blocking the road. For all she knows they kept going and took any number of alternate routes to avoid local herds etc.

Maybe it is the same R.V. but isn't it more likely that it was driven there by someone completely new to the story, and if so isn't that still just really improbably/implausible.

Maybe Lilly went a little crazy and made it her mission to track down the R.V. and find Kenny so that should could exact some kind of horrible revenge for him killing her father but then that's really just an echo of the end of the first season. Surely it can't be that.

I know a lot of people really think that's what's going to happen but when you think of all of the potential variables involved it's just beyond belief that it could be anything to do with Lilly (less likely than Kenny still being alive and that to me felt just way to implausible and contrived).
