My Overview of Episode 4 and Thoughts for Episode 5 // Venting my thoughts too :P

hew to forums, let me know if i'm in the wrong place or if you don't do this kind of post :P; also, please converse with me because I love this series and love to talk and think about it, and post your overviews :)

Man, I love this series. It gets me so into the game emotionally and mentally... I almost hate watching/playing it because I know how it works (everyone pretty much dies) and I don't want it to end. I miss Lee as if he was my actual friend... and I always get sad when someone dies, especially ones I care about (Lee/Omid/Ben/etc.) It also pisses me off when I see how pointless or avoidable some deaths are, like Omid's and Lee's. (I know it's a game so things like that happen haha).
As for Episode 5, I hope to God that the entire crew lives (I could care less about those bastard Russian's - in the game, not real life of course haha) but I feel like the game will tear your heart out and kill them all except Clem. They may even kill off the baby, getting shot by a stray bullet.. Highly doubt that though since Clem/Kenny "Saves the Baby", so they wouldn't have that happen just to kill it and he/she seems really important to the story. HOWEVER if the character list is correct/real... it seems like everyone makes it out alive. Also the "Blood and Iron" achievement seems like it would support that point.
My personal thought as to what really happened with the encounter, is that they all of course were encircled but both groups noticed zombies and teamed up to kill them. REALLY hoping that's the case. It would totally make sense on the part of TaleTell and how they just totally fuck with your head.
(BTW, sorry this is so long, I love this game and have to vent. Don't mind me and please partake in conversation ;D)
My opinions on characters now are that Luke/Jane have this awkward relationship (Luke really likes her, Jane probably likes him but things like her sister dying are keeping her from wanting to stay around because of her mentality that everyone is going to die/etc.) but Jane might comeback after realizing that she can't be a emotional rock anymore and probably wants to spend the time the world has left being happy and with someone. Luke might be arguing more because he basically got dropped by Jane after an emotional moment with her (sex wooo) and might become mentally distraught unless she comes back. Luke can still be a key member and leader, just needs to keep his head in it and not argue with Kenny all the time.
Not much to be said for Clementine because she's the heroic figure and always finds a way to keep things together... I feel like whoever is playing needs to keep Clem in the "group" mentality, always keeping what Lee taught her in her mind. (I fucking miss Lee). She's definitely what keeps groups together and needs to continue to be the true leader and person to keep everyone's head straight. How she handles Kenny is most key.
As for Kenny, he scared me a bit. He was back to the way he was when Katjaa and Duck died, but worse. However, Clem seemed to kick him back into shape a bit, but he still seems overly aggressive and stuff. The way he's going at Clem isn't my favorite thing to see, he definitely got away from the father-like figure he was and more of a bitter old man. I really hope he realizes Clem is still there and he has to keep moving on, again thinking of the way Lee was and pushing through.
I had a strong feeling even before her pre-birth problems that Rebecca was going to die (assuming she was just going to be too weak from post-birth), but it's sad that she went the way she did. Kinda tragic for Clem too, seeing it happen. They were just starting to become really close too... She's with Alvin now though... whom I also miss and thought was awesome, especially if you have him live through episode 2 and how heroic he is to gather enough lifeforce and shoot that dude. Wish we could've learned more about Alvin and Becca. The baby is the center of the story now though, Season 3 will definitely be about the baby and whoever is left with him/her (I don't know the gender of the baby lol)
I love Mike, he's a cool dude and reminds me of Lee. Hopefully he lives on, he could become really important to Clem even though there hasn't been an extreme amount of interaction with him yet. After he carried those water jugs the whole way by himself, I instantly tied him to Lee...
I think Bonnie is trying really hard to make it up to Clem and the group for deceiving them, and if she lives I think she'll be vital because she obviously wants to do whatever she can for them and to survive. She and Clem are building a relationship (if you choose to) that could become increasingly important.
Sarah's death seemed inevitable. She was just sooooooooo terrible with the whole "survive" mentality, even though it seemed she was getting better with it, which makes it sad she died the way she did at that point. Whether or not she was getting better with it, she was going to be the one that died no matter what the way she acted and handled things. She's with her dad though, seemingly the thing she wanted since he died. (Which also sucked, he and Sarita were depressing the way they died lol. Gruesome, too.)
Screw Arvo/Buricko/Maud/Vitali lol. Arvo being a sneaky mofocka and pulling them into a trap... and what's with him acting all tough at the end, but he was shaking like a bitch when confronted by Clem and Jane? I feel like the good guys and the Russians are going to end up having to team up and all, having the Russians being really important in the 5th episode. I wouldn't trust them though, especially with Arvo being a conniving bitch.
So anyways, I really hope all the good guys live. The group is relatively small now and nobody is left who is too much of a threat to the group (like Sarah was before). I'm excited and scared for Episode 5, too attached... if everyone survives, my life will be made. Even though they all most likely die lol. Really excited for Season 3 (hoping everyone is right saying it's confirmed). This series is taking over my life >.< love it though.
Still awaiting a Lee reference... or appearance. Not sure if it's just me, but it seems like there hasn't been many references to Lee this season. The picture at the beginning, the first talk with Kenny, Clem saying at times "I miss Lee", and the Civil War thing was just about it that I know of. Maybe setting up some major Lee action in Ep. 5? Hmm.
And finally.. i'm excited for possible appearances by Christa/Lilly/Glenn/Molly and maybe some of the 400 Days people. Christa would be great, her relationship with Clem and all and sort of taking the place of Rebecca. I'd LOVE to see Glenn again, even though he's a little loopy at time (like when he was in love with the girl who trapped herself in the hotel and eventually killed herself). Lilly would be REALLY interesting, since she was kicked out and all killing Doug/Carly. (or she steals the van instead of getting kicked out). Clem and Kenny would have major beef with her but everyone else wouldn't know her. Also, Molly would be really sweet too, and maybe if Jane comes back to the group, you have a kickass duo there. (or conflicting female personalities).
Again, really excited but really scared for Episode 5, and then Season 3.
Miss the good dead people :'(
I have no life.
Talk to me, let me know your opinions and overview of the last two episodes and more (back to S1 too!) :)

  • My advice: Space out your sentences. Use paragraphs. it makes people more likely to read what you wrote in its entirety.

  • I couldn't read it all through... Sorry, it looks interesting, though. Next time use paragraphs like this guy said^^ :D

  • I made them in paragraphs but I guess it didn't save it like that lol. I don't know the code to have a page break or whatever, my bad :b Thanks for the advice though!
