Who was more insane? Carver or The Stranger
I would say Carver was way more sick in the head, he breaks Carlos' fingers, kills Walter, kills or beats Alvin, slaps Clem, makes Carlos slap Sarah, kills Reggie, and beats Kenny.

Stranger is fucked up and Carver is just evil, REALLY evil but I think the stranger is more insane than Carver...
Carver. No doubts. He was sick in the head and badly.
Carver.
Who's "stranger?"
edit:the guy who kidnapped clem at season 1 episode 4-5?
Yes.
Yep, That's his name.
Carver. The Stranger was just butthurt and delusional over his family dying.
Idk. I think carver was more evil then crazy. I would say the stranger. Remember that the stranger kept his wife's head in a bag
Definitely Carver.
The Stranger. Sure, he was harmless, but he kept his wife's head in a bag. That's fucking insanity. Carver had reasons for what he did. Fucked up reasons, but there was some logic behind what he did.
I'm thinking the same thing![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
The Stranger is more fucked up. He kept his wife's head in a bag, obviously unaware of how dangerous she would be if he grabbed the head. Carver knew not to fuck with Walkers as the Stranger did.
Definition of insane:
in a state of mind that prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill.
By that I'd say they're almost equal but the stranger more so just for the head in the bag.
The Stranger. I didn't see Carver talking to a walkers head.
Carver had a warped way of thinking of how the world worked now. He had some good points but was a violent sociopath. I felt like the Stranger, however, was actually more insane. He stalked them from Macon, kidnapped a 9 year old girl in an "attempt" to rescue her, and oh yeah, lets not forget he had his wife's head in a bowling bag.
Probably Carver since he was completely calm and happy about who he was as a ruthless leader/killer. The Stranger was just a poor guy who turned insane due to losing his family, self loathing about it, and being reminded of it because of Lee's actions. He was still pretty bad, though.
I think that Carver is just plain evil, but not quite crazy. I mean going after the group was crazy, but the rest seems like a sane person would make if their morals was horrible. The stranger just wanted to start a new family, even though his family is gone. He still has a head of his wife and talks to her like she is alive. He calls everyone a monster for their mistakes even though he as well is a monster. He kidnaps Clem to raise her like her own daughter knowing she did not wanted to stay with him, but to find her family.
One went cross-country hunting a group of people who wanted nothing to do with him. Another kept his decapitated wife's head in a bowling bag.
I'd say the Stranger.
The Stranger just wanted revenge, doesn't any normal human seek revenge for stuff occasionally?
Carver just had anger issues and rules that the majority couldn't follow. If I had to pick, I'd pick Carver.
Carver = Evil person, wants to get people under his control.
Stranger = Physcopathic sonnofabitch who wants to only "hurt" Lee and have Clementine under his arms.
The Stranger, because he was having a conversation with the severed head of his wife about rebuilding their family with a child he stalked for days and then kidnapped. Seriously, what the fuck.
Carver is a sadistic asshole, but you can understand why he does the things he does. He's basically built his own dictatorship, and the only way to keep a dictatorship going is by making your underlings think they have nowhere better to go and instilling fear in them via threats and/or violence. Again, he's sadistic as hell, but it makes sense.
That's a rather childish way of describing a perfectly normal reaction to losing loved ones.
I'd pick Carver. Dude kidnapped people he didn't know... I mean come on.
The stranger is delusional and creeps me out way more than Carver. I mean Carver is an ass too but the entire atmosphere in which you first meet the stranger face to face freaks me out.
But then again are savior/god complexes considered delusional, I'm no psychologist but I'd like to think Carver had that. The way he talked to Kenny and the group before Kenny bashed him in (Didn't he say something about everybody being a sheep and he's the shepherd or whatever.) really makes me think that he had a savior complex, before I'd say just a sadistic dictator but his dying moments made me see him in another light.
In the long run Carver was a lot more malicious and harmful than the Stranger could ever be. But the Stranger was probably a lot more crazy. He really did snap and lose his mind because of what Lee's group did.
You do know that I was referring to the Stranger alone, not anyone who's lost loved ones, right? He accused someone he didn't even know of being a monster, claimed he could protect Clementine better even though he failed to do so for his own son, and made up his mind to kill Lee so that he could have a replacement daughter. THAT is childish, hence why I used the term 'butthurt'. The man was losing it and had a thirst for violence on top of all that, so sorry if it sounds harsh, but I have zero sympathy. If you honestly think that his behavior was "perfectly normal", that's your business, but I don't.
With that said, I personally think Carver was on a whole other level of crazy. The Stranger seemed to be more corrupted by grief.
I would say the stranger. As other people said, Carver was more evil and cold then he was an insane person. I mean really... The stranger kept his wives head in a bowling ball bag...
Carver was more of the controlling person who wanted people to follow his rules, and he didn't care what happened to others, which is most likely due to the apocalypse.
The stranger though... He had his wives head in a bag, and talked to it, he was overall creepy and gave me weird feelings, whilst Carver did not, Carver just royally pissed me off.
So taking that loved ones head placing it in a bag and going on a journey for revenge when some if those people (determinately) didn't do anything to you is normal ?
How can anyone say Carver? The stranger carried his wife's head in a bag, and talked to her. Carver was a very violent, control freak.
I think it's fair to say that they were both feckin insane.
Well judging by others comments, the run down goes like this
Carver was a control freak!
But the stranger had a zombie head in his bag....
Carver had a god/saviour complex!
It was the still alive head of his wife....
Carver tortured and killed people for the dumbest reasons!
He talked to it......
Carver was a evil monster!
It was a bowling bag!
Seems like the stranger wins....
Carver was just doing his job, and that was surviving.
The stranger was a lose canon whilst carver was in control at all time, and if he was so help you god!
So I'm gona go with the stranger because you can not predict what he will do. carver you just need to out smart him....
