I hope Episode 5 will hearken back to Episode 1 with regards to Clementine being on her own and struggling to keep herself alive. She'd likely survive the gunfight because she's a small child who would not make a big target, let alone be considered as one, and be left to deal with two injured men and a crying baby.
I thought TTG did a great job in establishing Clementine's child-like helplessness in the first episode of Season 2. That first half-hour or… more so is terrifying and incredibly frustrating because Clem is almost completely defenseless (in spite of her hard-earned survivalist ingenuity) and things around her are rapidly going from bad to worse. In contrast to that, Clem's interactions with the overly-sheltered Sarah really highlight just how quickly she was forced to grow up in order to survive. She's not your average 11-year-old, but she's also a long way off being some sort of indestructable badass.

You don't know the full story. What I believe is a lot bigger than what I have said. The comments above are a small fraction of that.

@kenny_vs_luke --- I know what you mean. A few days ago a girl in my town was being cat called and wolf whistled at by a group of boys, so she told them to back off and leave her alone. Guess what happened? They got up, grabbed her and beat her to mashed apples; nobody batted an eye at it, it didn't get on the news, she didn't tell the police [because she was fucking terrified at that point], nothing. Nobody knew of her suffering. And why? Because some boys' fucking fragile EGO was damaged by a girl standing up for herself. God damn it, just get a life, guys! If we tell you to fuck off, you fuck off and that's final.
