Clem is much better. I played through TLOU and in the end, I was willing to give her up to the fireflies just because I didn't care much abo… moreut her. Sadly, we didn't get that option.
Clem however, Telltale actually made me care. Clem has more personality, character development, is funnier, etc.
Ellie is stronger physically and is an overall better survivor though because she has been in the post apocalypse for 14 years while Clem has only been in it for about 3. Even Ellie has to fight more threatening creatures like Clickers rather than just slow walkers, but in the end I pick Clem every time.
Don't get me wrong, I love Clementine as much as the next person... But Ellie is simply a better written character given that the entire storyline is centered upon her even moreso than it is on Clem in The Walking Dead. The writers behind The Last Of Us simply took more time to develop the character and were afforded the luxury of having her more developed in age and attitude from the start. Ellie is a truly dynamic character that is in my opinion one of the greatest characters in interactive media, and whilst Clementine is almost there, she just isn't quite so well-written as Ellie was able to be.
Both incredible characters, with the two best voice actresses in the business, but I'd choose Ellie as my winner any day of the week.
(Also, super bonus points to Ellie for being a stellar LGBT character in popular media.)

Clementine turns 9 somewhere in Autumn 2003 so she would be 39 years old in 2033. Kenny would be somewhere in his 70s so he would most likely be dead already.
Clementine would probably be a hardcore survivalist, she's been used to live in the woods since Lee died until she met Luke's group and that's what seems to have worked the best for her so far so she would probably go back to doing that with a small group of people maybe? Joel and Ellie on the other side have pretty much been protected by the military and lived a quite comfortable life despite the world being a mess.

I mean, both character are loveable and reasonable, for me at least. But both know how to survive in a world where you need to fight. They a… morelso seen Some brutal things. Like for example, Clem lost Lee and her parents while Ellie lost her parents and her girlfriend, Riley. So we got that down, now let see where their strength and weakness lies. With Clem, she is able to manipulate people to help her. She is small, so she can sneak around more a lot easier and with ease. She also seems to know how to use melee weapons effectively. Plus, she can be show to be ruthless at times, if that the way you play her that is. She can also be seen using her surroundings to her benefit, But her weaknesses are that she can easily be man handled demonstrated by Troy. She also is unable to use weapons that have a bit of a kick to them,, relying a smaller guns like pistols. I got annoyed. It made me hate the last of us. Like any natural fan, I clicked into the last of us and just started thinking to myself "the last of us is shit." I'm different now though, I think that both are great games with great characters. Threads like these are pointless and just start fights against people who can't stand other people's opinions. Wrong. This is why I don't like Angry Joe. Everything he says he deems as a fact and all of his fans eat that shit up. If you don't like TLOU something is wrong with you he claims, you're just an xbox fanboy (ironic considering his past with the xbox) when really there are a lot of reasons to dislike this game. It's another third person shooter! Like we haven't seen enough of those especially in the year 2013. The story is a generic mix between Walking Dead and Children of Men. The AI is straight up bad. Enemies lock up on you and Ellie bumps into enemies constantly. It's not unplayable godawful; but game of the year 10/10? fuck no.

Yup. It would depend on the environment, situation and supplies available. Clem is most likely to win in a non-direct fight imo.
TBH, Season 2 should have been Clem's story rather than Kenny's.
